If you are hosting a cocktail party and need a bar, they have an amazing one that you can rent for just $140. It comes in four pieces and is easy to assemble. (You can pick it up and just takes two of you to move and put it together... you just need a truck.) The bar itself was such a hit that I think I'll have to get one made for my gondola. Very friendly business. I was on a mission--my sisters wedding was in 2 days and no one had a large enough cake pedestal, except distinctive. The reason they receive 5 stars though is their wonderful temperament and customer service. I was not their typical customer-- i was coming in for one small item, and spending only about 20 bucks, but you wouldn't have known. I've been a customer of Distinctive Event Rentals for many years and have rented everything from tents and outdoor heating units to glassware and china. I have always found the staff to be incredibly helpful in recommending the right items for my venue and so fast to respond to any needs. They arrive on time and are very efficient in getting everything set up in a timely manner. Recently, when I had a large event scheduled, their phone lines went down for the day and I got a personal call from the owner to let me know they were down and would be for the majority of the day, but gave me his personal cell if there was anything that I needed in then meantime - VERY proactive!! read more

This was the worst business I have ever dealt with in my life. After they had my money, they couldn't care less about what I wanted. They wouldn't even put the tent where I had asked at my venue because they didn't want to take the one down from the night before.
