But I remembered the words of a man much wiser than me who once said, "I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death," so I felt like a lil' iced coffee would actually be beneficial, in this case. No regrets. The iced coffee was great! I always forget about iced coffee when I'm at a coffee shop, because I just usually order a hot black coffee. I'm so stuck in my ways, sometimes! But iced coffee was a good choice in this situation, and it came with a little vanilla cream, which was unexpected but a nice indulgence. The Grind is located right across the street from West Virginia University. It was packed when I visited, and I imagine it is almost always packed, because of its location. But the people who work here are very efficient and friendly, and my iced coffee was ready lickety-split. I got my coffee to go, but there are some tables inside the coffee shop to sit and relax, if you wanted to. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart. I left my confession there, and took my iced coffee with me and went on my way.

Durar is located in downtown Morgantown, and it's the only Yemeni coffee shop in the area. They offer a number of other desserts, including a variety of cheesecake in unusual flavors, like pistachio, kunafa and lotus. They also have croissants, bagels, milk cakes and danishes. Of course, Durar has coffee. They serve Yemeni coffee, which has spices like cardamom and clove in it. if you're dining in, you can get it presented to you nicely on a tray, with real cups and a carafe. They also have espressos, lattes, iced coffee and hot chocolate. It took quite a while to get my honeycomb bread, but they were super busy, which I liked to see, so it didn't bother me. This doesn't seem like the place to find a lot of baked goods, anyway. The restrooms here are something else. There are two very small rooms with toilets, and then there's a communal sink around the corner. It's not immediately apparent that there's a place to wash your hands that's around the corner, so I'm hoping that people figure it out.

You can find it in the basement level below the Newman Center through the door off the parking lot on the south side of the building down a few stairs. There are a few parking spots available just a few steps away. This place is also late enough to study which is great, and they also have guest WiFi available. Besides being close to campus, they also accept Mounty Bounty! Inside you'll find a cozy little spot with pretty murals and cozy, warm furniture. There's plenty of space for studying or hanging out with a group, with couches, tables for two, or a bigger table for a group. The whole place is very clean, including the restroom which is a plus. The baristas are all super friendly and very helpful, offering suggestions when we were unsure of what to order. They have many options for drinks, including your standard coffees, cold brew, and specialty drinks. The lavender vanilla latte was delicious and i would definitely order again. I got the drink iced and the whipped cream on top tasted fresh and homemade. I love that you can buy a big bottle of cold brew to go in cute glass containers, which you can bring back to fill with a discount. Everyone i was with also enjoyed their drinks.
