They reliably remove all the garbage. The people are pleasant and responsive. I pay a little extra and the come up my steep driveway to empty my trash and replace the can and recycle bins by my garage door. Never a problem. read more

Curbside Services is totally unprofessional and terrible to do business with. We have been with them for a little over three months, give or take. We paid for those three months in advance. We pay extra for them to come up to our house, because our driveway is extremely long. We also pay extra for recycling. The first week of service they failed to show up at all. They claimed that their guys came to the top of the driveway and saw no trash cans. I pointed out that we pay extra for them to come to our house. The next week, they did the same thing again. After the second week of a no-show, they sent out one of their guys in his personal vehicle. He threw our recycling in with the regular trash in the back of his truck. Over the past three months they have failed to show up on our scheduled day at least 5 times if not more. One week, their guys actually came on a Wednesday night - the day BEFORE our scheduled pickup. Obviously our trash wasn't even out yet. When I called to ask them to come back, they said they would send a guy out that day. He didn't show up until four days later, on a Sunday afternoon, in his personal truck. Once again, he threw the recycling in with the regular trash and then proceeded to tear up our yard trying to back out. When I called to complain about this, I got a heated, rude voicemail from the manager/owner. Then she sent me a letter in the mail telling me that we complain too much and that they would not be renewing our services after our three months were up. The letter also claimed that they don't actually service our area and that had only done it as a special favor. This is a blatant lie, because half the houses on our street use Curbside, not to mention they were specifically recommended to us by the previous tenants, who used them for over three years. Save yourself some hassle and go with another trash company. These guys are totally unprofessional and unapologetic about their crappy service. They would rather fire a customer than bother to do business with them properly. read more

My wife and I have had for over five years now Curbside Services and they have done a great job. I cannot remember a single time in which they did not pick-up our trash, but I'm pretty sure that they've come back the next day a time or two after I called to say that I got the trash out late and missed them. They've also hauled away truckloads of our miscellaneous basement and yard trash for a pre-quoted fee and that has saved us the many headaches of loading up the car and driving out to the landfill ourselves. I never thought that I'd be writing a Yelp review about my "garbage man," but the folks at Curbside deserve five stars. They are friendly people doing a great job and deserve full credit. read more

Kind of surprised to see a bad review of Curbside Services. My husband and I used them at a previous residence and had great customer service/reliable service. We moved out of their area and stopped using them for a while, but when we moved back into their service area, they were our first phone call. Pleasant. On-time. Professional. Such lovely people at Curbside Services. Kim was especially lovely and understanding of my need to transfer my account to a family member. After many rounds of phone tag and a missed receptacle pick-up time, all was resolved. Kim was so kind and patient. Additionally, while I was a customer, Curbside Services pick up teams never left anything behind -- including extra large broken down boxes and other recycling overflow placed in paper bags next to the bin. Other companies tend to have employees that are loud and obnoxious when they come to empty our trash. I don't need a "professional" to pick up our trash, rather employees that have the courtesy enough not to blast out loud their personal problems in loud conversations and make deliberate jarring slamming noises early in the morning to vent their issues. Curbside employees are courteous and quiet compared to the others. They are charmingly "unprofessional". Also, being a small company, means less bureaucracy to contend with. read more

I began service with Curbside almost 1 year ago. I paid for the first 2 months and I was told I would get a bill the next month for the following 3 months as well. No problem. About 2 weeks into my first month I had their service I called to upgrade my tiny recycle bins to a larger can. (Who charges for a recycling can?!) I asked the woman I spoke to how much additional I needed to pay at that time and I paid it over the phone along with my next billed amount. (At this point, I have paid about $150 to them and I'm still in my first month of service.) A few months later, I get my following months bill and I see a late charge. How do I have a late charge?! Apparently, when I upgraded they didn't give me the prorated amount correctly on the day I called to upgrade and since it was such a small amount of money their "system didn't print a bill because it was under $10" Well, that explains it. So, I called them and the woman on the phone got nasty with me. When I paid over the phone I asked twice if I owed any additional money and I was told no. How was it my fault their system didn't generate a bill? I specifically asked if I was completely paid up and told yes. The woman said she would just waive the late fee and the additional $5 or so that I 'owed'. Wow, super nice of them. About 2 weeks later, we arrive home in the evening to our garbage cans completely full on pick up day. Our pick up is on Friday. Obviously, at 5:30 on Friday there is no one there. I called back on Monday and told them my trash was not picked up. We were not offer a pick up for their mistake. The following Thursday we put our trash out again for Friday. The garbage always comes before the recycling. So, we were skipped again! I happened to catch the recycling guys. The driver told me they had a new guy who was learning the route and he spoke to someone else in my same neighborhood who was missed as well. He actually called the garbage truck driver. Who, believe it or not, actually showed up! If the woman in the office would have just said he was new I would have been less frustrated. Since these experiences there have been a few times the trash was not picked up. But, I didn't complain. At this point, the office obviously doesn't care about their customers or employees. Just today, I called again to tell them my recycling was not picked up. I was told that she would see if the driver left a note. Um, for what? My cans were there. If I didn't put them up, I wouldn't have called. But, I asked if they could send someone out to pick up considering my recycling can is overflowing. It really can't wait another week. We recycle more items than we have in our actual garbage can. I was *rudely* told they couldn't have anyone out until Tuesday. Well, I would have let you know on Friday, but if I call anytime after 10 am, no one picks up. The drivers don't even get here until 11 and around 1. Needless to say, I am not happy with my service and I'm shopping around. Don't waste your time and money with this company. They are a complete joke and it's about a 50/50 chance for your trash to actually be picked up. read more

I'm writing only as a counter to the previous review listed here. I have used Curbside's services for approximately four years, and they have been the easiest, most professional, and courteous utility company I have ever worked with. They have never missed a scheduled pick up day, and they have made special trips when requested for removal of large items (such as appliances). I recognize that the previous reviewer had special circumstances (the long driveway) that may have complicated her experience, but it is my hope that this review will show that Curbside has provided excellent service for many in this area with more "traditional" trash pick up needs. read more

routine problems with these folks over 10 year period. finally, their truck came into my driveway to get the can on 8/8, drove over the ground, and hit/destroyed my mailbox. refused to even come out and look at the damage even though i made it clear that i was here, first truck came, no damage, second truck came and did this damage within a one hour period...because i didn't actually see the truck hit the box. screamed at me mercilessly as i tried to get jesse to come out and look in a phone conversation, with many irrelevant insults interrupting everything i tried to say. refused to even come out and look and then cancelled my contract. read more

I have been a very satisfied customer since 2005. Staff on trucks and in office are very professional and courteous. Our neighborhood is always left clean on pick up day, never debris of any sort left behind. I highly recommend this company for refuse pick up, and recycling. read more

I have been now been using curbside for over a year and have to say they are awesome! I am not the best customer and still they have gone above and beyond. Sometimes I run my garbage out after they have come but if I can catch them in the neighborhood they'll still go back and get it. Sometimes I forget to pay and they have to call me and since I don't use debit or credit cards they have helped me come up with some very creative ways to get my money to them. With every contact, they have always been sincerely friendly and easy to deal with. read more

We have had Curbside Waste for just over a year and have had nothing but issues. There are at least 8 different companies that provide garbage service in our city and Curbside seems to be the only one that cannot figure out how to do it correctly. More often than not our cans are left tipped over and garbage is left on the ground after Curbside has collected our trash. Garbage service in our neighborood starts around 7am and all other garbage collectors are done picking up cans by noon, not Curbside. Most days our cans are not picked up until after 5pm. Before switching to Curbside we had another large local company for 4 years and never had a single issue. They put the cans down correctly or righted them if they were tipped, picked up any trash left in the road and were always willing to grab any small extra items that we had left next to our cans. Again, not Curbside. While other garbage collectors are friendly and helpful, the folks at Curbside seems to be more interested in blasting in and out of the neighborhood as fast as possible than actually being a part of the community and delivering service that residents can count on. Even with multiple issues with Curbside and actually filing a few formal complaints with their less than helpful customer service department, we are still stuck in our contract for almost two more years... That is, unless we want to pay a ridiculous cancellation fee. Sadly, every week is a reminder that we should have stuck with our previous garbage service and never switched to Curbside. If someone from Curbside comes to your house asking if you would like to switch, please, for the sake of your sanity, don't do it! They will probably say they are cheaper, but chances are that your current provider or a more reliable one will match that price. They will probably also say that they are greener, yeah, most garbage companies are actually as green as they possibly can be so that's a bluff as well. For now we will begrudgingly continue to roll our cans to the street each week and hope that our garbage is actually picked up in a timely and efficient manner. As soon as that contract is up though, we are done! read more
