They took this trip out of town because my family member wasn't achieving effective results, guidance or follow up with the surgeon in her area. She also regularly receives specialty care at UW but again, wanted to see Hubert Lee because his reviews painted him in a wonderful light. He was such the polar opposite of his reviews that, in their words, they 'felt like they got catfished by a doctor'. They were early for their appointment, my niece is an advocate for her senior citizen mother, they were polite and Hubert Lee's body language and choice of words spoke to both my senior citizen family member and RN daughter like they were completely wasting his time, acted as if they were weird for going out of their town for care which is common practice and the reason people pay high prices for flexible insurance. DPM Hubert Lee rolled his eyes, huffed and puffed, stared outside the window on multiple occasions not listening while my elderly family member was speaking to him, tapped his feet in annoyance and seemed annoyed by everything. Their words 'the entire visit from entry to exit was as if he couldn't get out of our visit fast enough'. Since so many of his other patients have had excellent experiences - this highly suggests he either discriminated against my senior citizen mother due to her age, was annoyed by them being female (sexism) or is racist. Or this man pays for some business promotion and PR firm that falsely inflates his positive reviews and ratings. They went on Mothers Day weekend hoping for a better experience as she's heartbroken with all the pain and loss of function in her feet. I can't imagine all his positive reviews are genuine and my healthcare provider family member said people should really stay away from someone that treats patients this poorly at all but especially in front of their own adult child. Hubert Lee either had the worst day of his life and has no self control or he deeply hates his job or specific types of people - none of this is a good sign

The orthotic Dr. Grabowski made for me are definitely superior. He actually still hand-crafts them instead of having you stand on a scanner. He also made some modifications just for my situation that make big difference, like a cut out in the base of the orthotic around the inside of my heel that acts as a cushion for my heel. He is also very knowledgeable about other foot issues, and has a great "bedside" manner.

In hindsight, dealing with Dr. Lilja was one of THE most destructive times of my life, health-wise. He treated the small wound on my foot as if I had diabetes, which I didn't, but which resulted in him keeping the wound too moist -- which just made it larger and larger and LARGER! Finally, he asked me if I'd ever thought of having it CAUTERIZED! If he thought I needed that, why didn't he tell me months and months earlier? When I asked for a referral for that, they told me I NEEDED TO MAKE ANOTHER $300 appointment JUST for the referral. When I did, Dr. Grabowski looked at the wound and within 30 seconds, referred me to another doctor. 30 SECONDS. And then months later I get a COLLECTION notice, because they were too stupid to handle my insurance properly. Medicaid covered everything, as they always did with other, more competent, caring doctors, so I never should've been billed in the first place. It's a NIGHTMARE that I'm STILL paying for...as they made my wound so much worse.

I saw Dr Young for a broken toe X-ray and help for bi lateral plantar fasciitis. I had extreme…read moreneuropathy in both feet, something that hadn't happened the last time I had plantar fasciitis. Dr Young gave me a splint & some info on orthotics but couldn't explain the neuropathy other than diet and lifestyle choices, thinking I might be pre-diabetic, although I have a low sugar diet. The neuropathy was intense and the idea that it could be a new unrelated condition was upsetting. I went home and kept trying. Google informed me that about 20% of all plantar fasciitis is due to Baxter's Entrapment, a type of plantar that results in full-on neuropathy. Dr Young never talked about that at all, does he know about it? After 5 months of daily therapy, including acupuncture, my plantar fasciitis has healed and the neuropathy has gone.

The first podiatrist failed to properly diagnose my foot issue. The second podiatrist (very well-known and highly rated in Issaquah), at least realized that the issue had to do with the sesamoid, but did not fully diagnose the problem, and the orthotics he ordered were junk, despite the high price. They fell apart on me in a couple of months, and when I had them sent back for repair, they lasted 2 weeks. That office charged me over $700 for that junk, and did not properly charge my insurance, leaving me responsible for the entire bill. They negotiated down to $450, but I got in touch with my insurance company myself and got them to pay for it (and their cost was a little over $300 btw). That second doctor also recommended hyaluronic acid, which I'm glad I turned down (there's is little scientific evidence for it for my particular foot issue, and it requires annual re-application). Dr. Jones, on the other hand, immediately diagnose the issue and ordered the best orthotics I've ever had. Most of my sesamoid-related pain is already gone. He also helped me out with plantar fasciitis. This guy knows his stuff! He also properly handled everything with my insurance, and I've never had to wait even a minute to be seen at his office. He took time to hear me out and to address all of my concerns. What a great experience! I wish I had seen him 5 years ago!
