Curran's is definitely smaller than Edwards but not gonna lie, I definitely prefer it over any other orchard in town. it's small but not too small- cute gift shop, so many options for food, cute and fun area for kids and the staff is always so friendly. such a cute place and I miss their cider donuts already.

Like many others, it too was a Pandemic wedding that was to be held in 2020 and was different, difficult, taxing on my husband and my budget and frankly blew it up as many vendors were paid deposits in 2020. Let's be honest though the Pandemic hit everyone not just the bride and groom like other reviewers state. The vendors sufferer still, from florists, musicians, photographers, caterers, etc. We signed a contract and we ALL know what this means. So, this beautiful venue not only honored this contract 18 months later, they did it beautifully. We are still getting RAVE REVIEWS 20 days after the wedding which was August 6 (original date was July 24, 2020) and this from single men from Chicago, couples from Kansas...the service the food, oh the food one of the most mentioned items of the wedding weeks after mind you. The venue was immaculate the grounds and the communication all so above expectations that people are still chatting. The florist, Event Floral had the place decorated so Royale, the coordinator on grounds and ours didn't skip a beat. Our dinner staff were delightful. This is a top notch wedding and event venue that is highly recommended and it's deplorable that when people don't get their way they try to leave unhappy reviews. This pandemic has hit everyone and together we can work this out and become better...although I'm unsure how this venue can improve. Kudos on the splendid customer service from The Pavilion, Henrici's, and Orchard Ridge Farms together with the entire staff. ~The Days

Something for everyone. On top of all that there are stalls from local farmers and sellers of flowers, honey, jewelry, baked goods, clothing, and plenty of other goodies, as well as local businesses and groups with games and information about their services. It's not a huge venue so on packed days parking may take you a few blocks away but it is a nice walk. Also sometimes seating can be tricky to find if you need to sit to eat, so if you do and you see a spot, don't let it pass you by! There is even a water feature the kiddos play in which was pretty cute to watch. Overall a fun way to spend a few hours on Fridays, getting a wide variety of food and drinks and listening to local musicians. Definitely worth a stop if you happen to be in the area on a Friday night in the warmer months.

There are people selling homemade crafts, produce, meats and cheeses, beer (yes, beer! Carlyle's brewing company has a table there and some local distributor as well), food and entertainment! From what I gathered, the booths change through out the season; some are only there for certain days while others for the entire show. That can be good or bad. If you find a place you like they may not be there the next week, but there may be something you like more! Plus the entertainment changes every week. This week while there we bought beer, a necklace and earrings for my wife, candied nuts, beer, peaches, pet odor eliminate candles, beer, sweet corn, Bleu cheese, a 5 gallon bucket, beer (not a 5 gallon bucket of beer!) some food and just had a good time. We even were able to take our son over to the permanent cooling off fountain the city has where he and the other kids can play in it while the parents watched. It was a good time. We killed 2 hours here just hanging out. Parking is a little difficult. There is a lot of public parking, but it was full by the time we arrived and ended up having to park in the public lot over by the Metro Center. This isn't a bad walk, nice scenic view crossing the State Street bridge over the mighty Rock River. If you go, bring cash. Some places might take cards or checks, but it seemed mostly to be a cash only arrangement.

Altho the brick street may be a bit challenging for someone with difficulty getting around, it all around the Woodstock square(park) on the street. What I like about it as far as farmers markets go, it all seems to be local vendors. Local as within a 60 or so mile radius. I also like that there's more than fruits and veggies. There was a pierogis vendor, a taco or quesadilla vendor, and a bakery vendor. There's honey, soaps, (which are very monitoring and smell good) as well as very fresh breads and of course lots of veggie and fruit(apples in Fall) choices. I also like that there's a Tues and Sat with Tuesday obviously being less crowded. Usually parking can be found easily if you are not there at too peak of times and it's not too big or small that it feels crowded and takes forever to get in and out of, like some. As I said it's my favorite.
