It will leave you craving more and returning for more, always. In addition to all the fresh produce (which varies based on season) they also sell different flavored donuts like apple cider donuts, available in lemon and strawberry flavors, apple cider slushies, muffins, etc. Their store is cute and sells some fun food related items, cute gifts, and farm inspired decor as well. This place is great for younger kids and adults, but older kids and teens may lack things to do aside from picking apples. There are a good variety of apples. The outdoor activities are very cute for small people. There are a few live animals, some things to climb on, a small maze. I like this location for the gluten free items they offer. I appreciate that about them very much. Their gluten free muffins are probably the best ones I've ever tasted. The store is great if you like cute holiday gifts and things for your kitchen. They have indoor bathrooms and tables inside to eat snacks at and avoid the bees for a moment. All in all it's a great place. read more

Such a wonderful place for younger children! Our kids (all under 5) played for hours despite it being a fairly small place. Went during the week and it was low key and small enough to keep an eye on the kids without having to chase them everywhere. There was a small maze, two tunnels, old tractors, large hay bales to climb on, corn hole, and cute animals include wandering chickens and a patient old dog. Even the pines next to the animal shed allowed for a fun play place. Nice clean picnic tables to eat at. Didn't try their hot food, but bought some delicious donuts along with some other treats. We visited this farm today and it was the cutest place for kids. It's free and very family friendly. They have goats and chickens that you can feed. They also had a couple of other chickens running around the farm along with the family's black labs. The inside shop is adorable with great apple cider and donuts. Froze my toes off but my heart was warm from the hospitality of this place. Mr. Curran was great with the kids and they all had a blast. The animals, maze, piles of hay and apple picking was perfect size for our little Kindergartener! Not too big and not too small. We tried the chili, pulled pork, baked potato, donuts and hot cider. Best little apple orchard around. Been going there for several decades. They have wonderful lower pesticides than Edwards' apples, THE BEST APPLE CIDER in the entire USA, and great apple donuts, and, next to the Elegant Farmer in Elkhorn, the best and freshest homemade apple pies you will find anywhere. Took a day trip out to rockford to visit the boyfriend's mom and I made him take me to this apple orchard. It was a rainy day so we couldn't pick apples but we sure did buy stuff. The shop is pretty small but definitely had plenty of apples for sale. I purchased a bag of honey crisp apples because their website stated they were delicious this season and it was true. Also grabbed a gallon of cider, some apple butter and a fresh made donut! Donuts are made fresh there. I actually watched the donuts being made. The staff was pretty friendly and the shop was clean. They also had a mini animal farm and some other attractions but I did not take part in anything else because of the rain. If I was in the area I would definitely go back to check out more of the farm. read more

The middle aged cashier was rude to me and my wife. I asked how old the donuts she just handed us were. She said 30m. I kindly told her that I've had two-day-old donuts fresher than these. I'm, by no means, a donut connoisseur...but, these were just nasty. So bad, in fact, we are a family of 6...ordered half a dozen...we left 4 on the counter as we left. Uneaten... Once a year I enjoy taking my kids to get donuts at the orchard. This year we went back to Curran's. I requested a dozen warm donuts. The middle aged cashier looked at me as if I asked for an organ transplant on the spot. She went on about how they are 425 degrees and she can't serve them that hot. Clearly, she wasn't listening to my request. Having worked a cash register in my first job years ago I'm always polite to folks dealing with the public. She said the next batch would be out in 20-30 minutes. I waited. Upon coming back to register she said the ones they had were as warm as they will get. They were room temperature. As I have a gluten issue, I don't eat flour. However, Apple donuts once a year are my guilt pleasure. It shouldn't be too much to get warm donuts (not 425 or 225 or even 125 degrees). Warm. In summary I wasted a half hour for the same thing I wound up with anyways. Had my kids not been with me I would have left. I guess I go to Edwards West next year. read more

Every year my wife, son and I go to pick apples here, and every year we have a blast. It is usually rainy, cold and wonderful as we slog through the dirt road along the rows of apple trees to the back of the orchard where we start to work our way back. We have a system because by the time we get through a couple of rows, our half peck bag is almost full and heavy. This is a great experience with your family and can lead to many a pie and baked apple treats in the following weeks. They have a little petting zoo for the kids, a hay maze and the worlds coolest idea, an apple sling where you launch over-ripe giant apples into a field to watch them explode with super-grossness. The gift shop is chock full of treats, and there is a counter where you can get fresh baked apple items and cider donuts. This is A really nice Orchard it cost way less then the other orchard and it seems better quality the apples were huge I couldnt believe how big they were. I loved all the animals they had outside goats, chicken,pigs, sheep and 2 white turkeys. Inside it smells so good from the cider donuts Upstairs they had some homemake soaps in soy candles. They even have A house for the bees you can really see the bees going down a pipe into this glass house it was worth the trip out here. read more
