When our son was 5 month old, on Christmas day he became sick with a 104 temp and we were able to reach Dr. Washington by phone on Christmas day. That is virtually unheard of this day and age. She is no nonsense, yet very personable, incredibly funny, and is excellent with kids. Oh, and indeed she has excellent diagnostic and clinical abilities. Our son ASKS for her whenever he gets sick (even knowing he may get a shot), & other kids are the same way. I would guess probably 75% of her patients drive up to her clinic from central Arkansas (Jax, Shwd, LRAFB, Cabot, etc.). Yes, and the billing office is great too! Very helpful with our irritating flex spending account benefit provider who often wants additional info. They are very nice & have even called me back after sending info to ensure it was received.

Sherwood telehealth service was terrible. Canceled our Sunday Father's Day appointments because…read morethe telehealth NP would not accept my wife who had a cat bite and just needed antibiotics. We eventually found out the NP was insisting she needed a tetanus shot so refused our appointments. We were nearing the end of the 48 hr timeframe within which a person needs to take antibiotics. NP didn't care. Was willing to endanger my wife. Tetanus shot was absolutely not needed but antibiotics absolutely were. So we had to pay an extra $80 ($150 vs $70) plus travel about 45 minutes to Searcy hurrying to get there at our scheduled time only to wait about another hour until we actually saw the NP who said exactly what we already knew - wife needed the exact antibiotic we expected, no tetanus shot, and he needed to call in the Rx so we could get it in time before pharmacy closed and get a meal somewhere because it needs to be taken with food. So extra hours, frustration, and expense because of the incompetence and lack of concern of the telehealth employee. Glad we could eventually get the service we needed that same day. Front desk lady was nice! Place was clean and comfortable. Other staff member who helped was okay but seemed like she didn't want to be there any more than we did.

Customer service in Unity Health Hospital in Searcy is the worse I've experienced in 30+ years. 30+…read moreyears ago hospitals treated patients as if they were doing you a favor by taking care of you. Then over the years hospital healthcare service improved and patients were treated like a valued "customer". Well Unity in Searcy didn't get the memo because they still treat patients as if they're doing you a favor. My wife was admitted to Tower 2, 3rd floor on October 14, 2024. The good news is the doctors are fine and their health problem diagnosis and treatment is fine. My complaint is with customer care while in the room. More specifically my complaint is their delayed response to answering the room call light. Their response is always slow and even none existent on one occasion. The day shift wasn't too bad. I would not have taken time to write the review based on the day shift. The night shift was the problem. I was told by several staff members that the delays are due to being short handed. That is no excuse. A specific example is, I pushed the call light, the call was answered. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to show up and then I walked over to ask if there was someone that can help my wife. Ten minutes may not sound like a long time to wait but my wife really needed help and based on previous experience I thought it was best to walk down the hall and ask for help. All three of the ladies sitting in the nurses station said they could help but they didn't know I called. I told them I spoke to someone and asked if they had seen the message. They said they don't take messages. They communicate via word of mouth (obviously not very efficiently). At this point they are available to help, know I need help, but didn't do anything. They just sat there. The process is obviously broken because three people were sitting in the nurses station, per their own admission were able to help, but didn't know we needed help. Someone needs to address this obvious flaw in their process and address the workers attitude. I'm from Baton Rouge and have been spoiled by excellent customer service in Baton Rouge hospitals. I believe the difference is, there is competition in larger cities like Baton Rouge and Little Rock but Unity has no local competition therefore no urgency to improve customer care. I hate confrontation but it helped. The staff was much more responsive and courteous after the confrontation and after speaking with the floor director.

Complete leg amputation with open wound in severe pain.. wait in the lobby for 3 hours until you leave ama because no one has been called back in that 3 hour time span. You will get nothing accomplished here. One star for this emergency department is really way too many stars. ​
