This is my 3rd time booking an event with Curtis Knight and my 1st time for a corporate event. As always, the process is so easy! Everything is straight forward on the website for pricing. No hidden costs! Also, Curtis is quick to get back to any questions you have and in no time my event was booked! Paying for my event was also hassle free because I could use the online planner and payment system with our corporate credit card, so I never had to worry about cutting checks and mailing them. This was the easiest part of planning for our company holiday party! Mark Cherone was our CKE Team Member and he was AMAZING! I selected him as the DJ for our event because I had used him before for my wedding last fall and we also saw him DJ my sister-in-law's wedding a few years ago too. He is fabulous and really knows how to meet all of your needs! During my wedding, we had a huge dance crowd and Mark worked out great for that event. However, I was a little nervous for my company party because I knew our employees are not big dancers, but it worked out great! Mark selected music that had a good beat and he kept it at a nice sound level so you could enjoy the music and still hold a conversation with someone. He even had a great suggestion for the raffles we had....we did a DANCE OFF! Our employees had so many laughs watching this and it really got everyone involved. We were so pleased that Mark suggested this. We have received numerous compliments already about how they loved the music and wanted to know the name/company the DJ worked for. I could not recommend Mark enough. I plan on using him many more times in the future! As I mentioned above, Mark also was the DJ for my wedding which was great because we have so many friends that love to dance and we nonstop danced all night! However, the employees at my company are not big dancers and I was wondering how that was going to work out. Mark is such an amazing DJ that he is able to work the room with both types of groups: those that dance and those that don't. He can keep the dancing going with all of our friends/family at our wedding or he can play great music that sits well in the background while you are trying to have conversation amongst co-workers. It takes a phenomenal DJ to be able to work both sides like Mark is able to do. I can't thank him enough for all he did both the night of our wedding and also last Friday night at my company party! Peter and I had the best experiences working with Curtis and Anna! From our first meeting, we knew we were in the best hands possible! From the details of the evening, to knowing our venue like the back of their hand, to the jokes and fun we shared in our meetings; we honestly couldn't have asked for a more professional duo to help plan the logistics so thoroughly. Curtis and Anna are so incredibly personable and amazing. Every meeting, interaction, email correspondence; they were on top of EVERYTHING! It was so easy for Peter and I to see that they LOVE their job so much, and they put their all into every single tiny detail and piece of the wedding that they are responsible for. Honestly, I feel like Peter and I built a relationship with them, and I'm not too sure too many people can say that about the DJs and/or bands they have at their weddings. We were at a wedding several years back and that Curtis and Anna DJ'd. Peter and I were trying to think back to what made that wedding so unbelievably special and memorable, and when we figured it out, we realized it was the energy and excitement that Curtis and Anna brought to the wedding. They pumped family and friends up about the union of two of our closest friends, and the excitement and energy they put forth was visceral- everyone on the dance floor could feel the energy that the two of them had for the married couple. Instantly, we knew we HAD to book them! Sure enough we did and honestly, I couldn't have imagined our wedding reception being any more perfect thanks to Anna and Curtis. Family members and friends post-wedding commented on how awesome the DJ was, and how absolutely FUN the reception was, and that was all thanks to Curtis and Anna! They weren't just bodies behind a set of speakers, they were personalities that family and friends got to know and could have fun around. Here is an anecdote my friend told me from the evening: "Alex was so amped up after your DJ told the story of how you and Peter met; all of a sudden Thunderstruck started playing, and there was some hesitation before you guys walked through the doors- and Alex turns to me and says "MY HEART IS BEATING SO FAST!" Curtis Knight Entertainment (CKE) has outstanding DJs and so much more. For our son's Bar Mitzvah, we hired Curtis and Anna, the 2 owners for the reception. They went above and beyond in service, communication, listening, and production. They are very knowledgeable about what works and also very willing to hear and follow through with what you want. Every time I called or emailed, a response was prompt and comprehensive. We met twice together and they got to know us. We had 32 13 year olds and 64 adults and everyone is still complementing the music, the energy, and the atmosphere. One friend said, "I haven't danced this much in years" and 13 year old told his mother that he "couldn't remember the last time [he] had that much fun"! The kids played games during the adult cocktail hour and the music was just what we'd requested during dinner so everyone could talk and hear one another. After dinner, the dance floor was filled with both the kids and the adults. Curtis took photographs during the reception and then put them up on the 2 large screens they'd brought. Before the big day, they'd asked me to electronically send some photographs and these were put up as people walked into the event. Many people have mentioned how much they enjoyed seeing photos of family and friends in the beginning and what a nice festive tone it set for the evening. Curtis and Anna also brought a videographer and Steve was tremendous. Unobtrusive, yet caught wonderful footage. We were also so impressed that we received the photographs within just a few days. Nothing but rave reviews for Curtis Knight Entertainment, and especially for Mike D. My husband and I used CKE for our wedding a few weeks ago, and had a fabulous experience working with Curtis and Mike. Having a web page to planour reception and request songs made everything simple and fun. When we met with Curtis and Mike, we were treated extremely courteously and were never pressured into using their services, or upgrading our package. Even when we were going for a budget-friendly package, we were given extremely good service. Curtis answered our many email questions promptly, and even thanked us for our business. We hit it off instantly with our DJ, Mike. He clearly understood what kind of wedding reception we were looking for, and gave us a flawless reception. All of our family and friends raved about him! Although we didn't purchase any lighting upgrades, he had colored light fixtures waiting for us at the reception because he 'just happened to have them in his trunk'. How awesome is that? The icing on the cake came after our wedding, when Curtis sent us videos of a few particularly memorable moments of our reception that Mike had just happened to capture. We didn't have a videographer, and we will cherish those videos forever. We booked DJ Mark Cherone from Curtis Knight Entertainment after reading all of the really good reviews on yelp and the knot. We knew Mark was the one after our first meeting. He was very helpful getting all the basics set up and let us fill in all the details on their online planner as we had time. He was never once pushy about getting things done right away. We had a few last minute changes (as in the night before) to the bridal party introduction order and reception order that he took care of with ease. When it came to the reception, he was super organized, very professional and accommodated all of our requests. He started off by organizing the entire bridal party for introductions and made sure he was saying everyone's names correctly. He had everyone pumped up for intros and had the dance floor rockin' all night long. Throughout the night he came to us a few times asking us to let him know when we were ready to do things such as cut the cake etc but was never pushy and let us do everything at our own pace. He took all of our music requests immediately and literally had everyone on the dance floor all night. We could not be any happier with Mark. We would give him 10 stars if we could. When my daughter who was getting married in Vermont wanted to hire a DJ from the Boston area, my first reaction was no way. Really, how much better could this DJ be than if we hired one closer to Vermont. WOW! I am so glad I listened to my daughter and hired Curtis and Anna from Curtis Knight Dj's. They were amazing! The wedding was on a Saturday in Oct and they came up to Vermont on Friday to check out the venue and to create a plan for Saturday's event. Curtis and Anna came to the welcome party on Friday night to get a feel for the crowd they would be entertaining on Sat. They Mastered it.....Every possible situation was covered. Back up equipment, two set ups - one for outside and one for inside incase of rain.. they thought of everything..The music was amazing, from the music on the arrival of guests to the selection for the horse and carriages to the entrance dances (ask what the bride did while in line waiting to be introduced - you won't belive it). Since they were at the welcome party the night before they knew exaclty how much of each type of music to play. My husband and I were married in November of 2013. Every part of our experience in working with Curtis Knight Entertainment was just great! Curtis is so kind, warm and funny. From my first time to talking to him over the phone, to our meeting with Curtis and Anna to lay out the details of our event to the assignment of Mark Cherone as our DJ, to our wedding, everything was just so easy and strait foward. Mark was also just a great DJ. He's a really nice guy and we got so many comments during and after the wedding about how the music and the flow of the evening was nice and classy. What I also liked about Mark was that he tried to understand what type of couple that we were. Some clients may be looking for more of a party feel to their wedding where as we wanted a nice, classy evening where people could hear themselves talk but then also dance and have fun on the dance floor. We had our Annual Christmas party on December 13, 2013 at Herb Chambers Honda of Burlington. We hired Curtis Knight Entertainment. Curtis, Anna and Alexis made our party such a sucess. Anna. Curtis, and Alexis were awesome, Anna played great music , and went above and beyond to announce times when entertaiment was going to start and end she interacted with the children along with assisting Santa Anna called out each childs name and handed the presents to Santa while Curtis took pictures of each child receiving their gift. If it wasn't for Anna's help I'm sure it would have taken a lot longer. Curtis did a great job of taking pictures and capturing precious moments of the children and families. This was the first year that we had the photo booth which included props. Alexis was great at the photo booth she made it so personal by dressing up she also assisted on how to work the photo booth each person in the party was given a picture and 1 was put in a photo album the pictures also had our company name on it which was great. As a scrapbooker, I absolutely LOVE images that show the party - the scene, the decorations and what the entire experience was all about! This organization and René Rancourt has made my best friend's wedding the BEST wedding, anyone I know, has ever gone to. At least that's the comments I continue to receive. The boyfriends that were "dragged" as dates for the bride's long lost friends couldn't stop thanking me for what they describe as, "The best night of my life!" Both Bride and Groom were immensly surprised with the stealth choreography between René and the DJ. Even though I knew what was about to happen, my jaw was on the floor! We used Curtis and Anna as our DJs and Curtis was our JP for our wedding. We can not say enough great things about these two amazing people. First we were impressed by their vast knowledge of songs, and after spending about 5 minutes with them , they seemed to know our personalities and how we wanted the tone of the wedding to be set, and then all of their creative juices started to flow!!! I can honestly say that after our initial meeting with them, for the first time during the entire wedding planning process I felt "at ease", like I could breathe. They didn't want to take a down payment that night, they told us to go home and talk about it, which I thought was great, there was absolutely NO pressure from them to do anything that we didn't want to do. Every time, I thought of something else and contacted either Anna or Curtis, I had a response within the hour! At all hours of the night too!!! My husband's 50th birthday celebration needed to be perfect because he is a great, fun guy who is very generous to his friends & family. Since he is a huge Bruins fan, I knew I wanted Rene Rancourt to be a part of his celebration. I searched Rene Rancourt & that's how I found Curtis Knight Ent. I'm glad I did! Curtis was very engaging over the phone. I ended up not only booking Rene but also a photo booth & DJ as well! I used CKE to book the one and only Rene Rancourt for my wedding. I think it was probably the best decision I've ever made... besides marrying my husband, I guess! Rene was a surprise guest and my fiancé didn't know anything about it. It was so hard keeping it a secret from him for months as he is a HUGE Bruins fan and his entire season ticket holder section was there in attendance. Rene was not only on-time, but showed up early and then patiently waited until exactly the right time. When he came out, everyone totally freaked out! Rene came in, had some great and hilarious commentary, sang the national anthem like a boss (naturally) and then stayed nearly an hour after so everyone could take pictures and try on his ring. It was the talk of the evening and SO awesome. Curtis was super-prompt and fun to work with. We used Curtis Knight Entertainment for our company Holiday/retirement party and though it was last minute, CKE came through BIG TIME. I was disappointed that I would not be able to show Mike Wile (the CKE DJ that hosted my 50th bday bash) that I could throw a party and no one ends up at the hospital - but there was nothing disappointing about his 'replacement'. I'm sorry that Mike was sick and hope he recovers quickly but even the last minute replacement was seamless from our end. In my business I compare my team to a group of swans. The clients view should always be of the graceful swans gliding effortlessly through the water. But my partners and I know that if you look under water, we are often paddling like crazy. That was our experience with CKE. I know that last replacement threw them for a curve, but they never let us see under the water. Truly as good as it gets! C.K. should be the first call for all entertainment / party needs. I used C.K. to video tape a benefit party for my mother who was recently diagnosed with cancer. I now have a wonderful movie to show future generations of my family. It was a marvelous night and C.K. Entertainment captured it all to watch for years to come. Very professional staff for all levels of entertainment. It was such a relief to talk to Curtis. I was reassured that they had all the appropriate, up to date equipment and only the most competent people would be running it. The staff was very punctual, respectful and willing to make my night special. it wasn't hard to see they had much experience with these types of parties knowing where to be at the right time. We hired a Curtis Knight DJ for our wedding reception last November and couldn't be happier with our choice. We met with our DJ at Curtis' office to go over ideas- my husband and I really didn't have many songs picked out (such as entrance songs, FOB dance, etc) and Marc asked us many questions to get an idea of our taste and styles. From there, he played samples and helped us make the right choices. He made it so simple to get the songs right for our reception. He also clearly had a lot of wedding experience and had good tips that we would never have thought of. I also love that they have a website. That may sound odd, but many DJ's and other wedding vendors don't have good/interactive websites- which is so important! Most importantly, the dance floor was packed the whole evening and the crowd couldn't have been happier. Many people even commented on the quality of the DJ. I was married 9 days ago. My husband and I contacted Curtis Knight over a year before to discuss options for DJ's. Curtis was instantly welcoming and helpful! He is a great guy and is always willing to work out anything you need to make your day wonderful. I have been to one of there weddings before and had a great time, so Curtis suggested the same DJ- Christian. Christian was very helpful from the start helping us plan out the right songs and plan the reception just how we envisioned. The night was wonderful and I never left the dance floor. The experience of working with your office to book the event was effortless! Curtis was very accommodating and went "above and beyond" to be sure we had everything in order. Our experience working with our CKE team members was amazing! Both Mark and Eamon were fabulous!!! I cannot say enough good things about both of them! They made sure my daughter was having a great time. Our CKE team members did more than a great job. They were very attentive to Brittanie and what she wanted. Mark made sure he played every song on Brittanie's request list, he played games and help guide us as to what should be happening (cutting the cake, Britt's dance with her Dad, etc.).
