This is also my review on wedding wire. Scott is excellent. Our wedding was 8/1/15 at Newton Marriott. It's no secret that musical entertainment is going to be the number one factor in determining whether your guests have fun. We went with Scott after he was recommended to us. We met with multiple DJs and have been to countless weddings in the Greater Boston area and ultimately went with Scott. He had the party going all night. He also met with us multiple times prior to the wedding to make sure he got all of our feedback on the music we wanted. Unlike some DJs, he didn't inject himself or his ego into the night to pump himself or his business up. He makes sure the night is all about the wedding couple. I think what we liked the most was that he blended music from all decades to ensure that guests of all ages made it to the dance floor. Bonus: Scott let us check him out at a venue that he was playing at before we booked him so we could ensure we were going with a great DJ. Do your homework and meet with as many DJs and bands as possible to get an idea for what you want. But you would be doing yourself a great disservice to not include Scott in the list of people you meet with, He will deliver a better performance and a price that is much better than the competition. Scott was absolutely perfect for our wedding, and he more than any other aspect of it made me want to jump online to review as he deserves all the recommendations he gets. Extremely professional, stayed in touch with our venue throughout the planning to make sure all the prep was in place without even bothering us about it. We'd told him in our first meeting that we didn't want any sort of 'entertainer' or big character taking over, and he was exactly what we wanted. Great music that had people dancing all night and never felt forced or overly cheesey, not telling a bunch of jokes or making it about him, which I've seen other DJs do. Allowed us to have as much or as little influence on the music selections as we wanted which was also great, we gave him a few important things to play (and a couple not to play,..) but left the majority up to him and that worked really well. Scott was amazing for our wedding!! We were originally going to have our wedding in October of 2020 but with the pandemic we rescheduled for November of 2021. During the whole process of having to change dates, Scott was responsive and supportive. In the beginning we only booked him for our reception but realized a few months before the wedding we would need someone for the ceremony and cocktail hour. He was very accommodating and gave a extremely fair add on price for the extra time. The day of he was more than I could ever imagine! Our wedding was Disney themed and he listened to all our requests with no judgement. I am not someone who likes to dance, but I was out on the dance floor almost the whole reception!! The music was just what we were looking for and was very accommodating to my sensory needs. We also booked the magic mirror photobooth as a surprise for the guests and it was MAGICAL. Scott was one of the very first vendors we booked for our wedding. He was so high-energy and so enthusiastic right from the beginning, even as we were trying to navigate wedding planning in Covid. Scott is so much fun and it is clear he has tons of experience - he knows how to keep the evening running perfectly. He is open to any and all requests but is also flexible and will add in his own thoughts/songs according to your requests. We really appreciated how he went totally above and beyond including coordinating with other vendors, doing multiple site visits (we had to change venues a few times due to Covid guidelines), and just maintaining the most positive and upbeat attitude as we were stressed with Covid guidelines changing our plans so many times. Scott Sica was the DJ of our dreams. My husband and I have eclectic tastes in music (pop punk meets showtunes meets Disney) and music is so important to us and our relationship. Scott was able to seamlessly integrate all of our favorite things while mixing in some more traditional dance music for our guests. Scott was fun and personable to work with. From the first meeting, he made my fiancé and I feel comfortable to work with him as his personality fit both of my fiancé and I. Amazing DJ experience for my daughters sweet 16th. The Music was great and Scott went above and beyond by structuring an event schedule which included handing out dance props such as glow wands and sunglasses. Which the kids LOVED.
