Meg has been a joy to work with - from getting us comfortable with the camera during the engagement session to being SO patient with us as we worked on our formal album - she's become more of a friend than a hired photographer! They both knew exactly how to deal with the 2 little kids in our wedding party and were able to wrangle the bridal party together and get some fantastic shots. I thought I had scheduled in enough time for photos, but with the walk-through and people being late due to the rain, we didn't get all the photos you typically get (posed shots of just me, funny shots of the bridal party, etc.). However, they got the shots that mattered and over a year later, I still love looking at them! (See the wedding shot of me in my profile on here for an example of her work!) Not only does Meg do fantastic work (and is fantastic to work with!), but she comes in WAY cheaper than other photographers and in this case - you get more than what you pay for. Meg was the photographer for our engagement session and wedding. My mom's advice..."the only two…read morethings you need to get right...a lovely dress and a very good photographer". We decided not to video our wedding. So we had to make darned sure that the photographer was really good. Meg was golden! We had a lot of fun with her and Doug during the engagement session...and the pictures were amazing! We knew then that the wedding pictures were going to be real nice too. Meg was on top of things before the wedding, making sure we had an indoor shooting location, since we had a lovely summer this year with plenty of rain! Incidentaly since we found (a long story) and decided on an indoor location...the wedding day was the only bright and beautiful day in like 3 weeks! For the wedding, she was so well prepared...she even had scissors and a whole of of other stuff in her car...just in case her clients needed it during the wedding! She has always been on time for appointments, is always smiling and happy (goes a long way in maintaining stress levels) and PATIENT! We had 4 kids in the wedding party..and she and Emily (her 2nd photographer for the wedding) were so good with the kids. She was kind and patient with our baby and the hour flew by! Our baby had a great time! We originally hired Kate to do our newborn photos last year (April 2020), and unbeknownst to us...or anyone, they ended up being canceled because of the pandemic. It was a really hard time for us to be in a pandemic, with a newborn, as new parents, while isolated. Missing out on our newborn photos was a small but nonetheless heartbreaking loss for me. Kate was so graceful and kind, she offered alternatives and came to shoot us (from afar) outside at our home...those photos will be forever memorable. I sent them to a friend who had already booked her own newborn photo shoot and she said she regretted putting down a deposit with another photographer because she loved Nicole's style! We don't take a lot of photos and are pretty camera-shy, but Nicole was very helpful and gently guided us on what to do and made us feel free to try out different things.
