I had been informed that I was having a head gasket issue and Madden Auto would be a fantastic place to take it for the fix. I was delighted and had my car towed to Madden with hope. Madden Auto agreed that the head gasket was the issue and therefore did their best to fix that. My car, being incredibly stubborn, foiled all of Madden's attempts. I am pretty sure that this car somewhat traumatized both me and Madden Auto Repair for life! Numerous issues continued to appear and were almost always completely outside of our control making this project seem impossible. Until, Madden Auto made the decision that changed my life, and they bought my car a 'new' used engine. They informed me that not only had they made this decision, but also that they would be helping me with the cost because of all the difficulty. Madden Auto charged me an unbelievably fair rate, far less than I could have received anywhere else. I cried and hugged Vicki tightly as I received my car keys. Madden Auto was incredibly fair, honest, and kind and genuinely gave me one of the biggest gifts I have ever received. I truly want everyone to be aware of this amazing shop and their incredible work. As someone from a completely different state and a young college student, I could have been easily taken advantage of. My 30-year-old car has 273K miles of wear and tear on any original parts, so the job turned out to be more than simply replacing the pads. The quoted estimate was $1500 for the pads, brake calipers, drums, brake rotors, hardware kits, fluid, and labor. I had seen my car on a lift before taking it to Advantage Auto, and after inspecting the wheels, I knew the brake job was going to be involved (which is part of the reason I didn't want to do it myself). Jason loaned me a car for the day, which I greatly appreciated. AA worked from 9:00 till around 5:30 (they had delays in receiving parts from across town), and got me out of there the same day. My final price of $1300 was lower than the estimated $1500, as they didn't charge me for all the replacement parts. The brakes have been working as needed over the last month. Was it a lot of money? Yes. Did I get what I paid for? Yes. Would I go back? Yes.

Total $860 - long story short - 4 return visits because light kept coming on while they said nothing was wrong. After waiting for almost 4 hours, I received my final bill, totaling in at $270. When I asked about the price change I was met with a condescending attitude, and told I was in the wrong, and that the first bill I received meant nothing. One day later, after paying $250 for one tire, it went completely flat. The tire was torn up on the inside. Again, met with extremely condescending and rude attitude. I will not be coming back to this establishment ever again.
