I had been informed that I was having a head gasket issue and Madden Auto would be a fantastic place to take it for the fix. I was delighted and had my car towed to Madden with hope. Madden Auto agreed that the head gasket was the issue and therefore did their best to fix that. My car, being incredibly stubborn, foiled all of Madden's attempts. I am pretty sure that this car somewhat traumatized both me and Madden Auto Repair for life! Numerous issues continued to appear and were almost always completely outside of our control making this project seem impossible. Until, Madden Auto made the decision that changed my life, and they bought my car a 'new' used engine. They informed me that not only had they made this decision, but also that they would be helping me with the cost because of all the difficulty. Madden Auto charged me an unbelievably fair rate, far less than I could have received anywhere else. I cried and hugged Vicki tightly as I received my car keys. Madden Auto was incredibly fair, honest, and kind and genuinely gave me one of the biggest gifts I have ever received. I truly want everyone to be aware of this amazing shop and their incredible work. As someone from a completely different state and a young college student, I could have been easily taken advantage of. Madden, however, took care of me like family and I would be completely lost without them. This shop is the epitome of honest, kind and truly a gem. If you are needing anything, I would ABSOLUTELY suggest taking your car to the wonderful trustworthy hands of Madden Auto Repair.

While both Trey and his manager conducted their negotiation on behalf of the dealer, they were cordial, professional and fair in their dealings with me. I understand that the livelihood of all depend on Patriot getting the most money for their sale, and offering the least for my trade-in, we all knew each other's position on the transaction, and eventually made an acceptable deal. I insisted on using my bank for financing, but after a thorough review, Patriot gave me a second chance to handle the financing themselves, and I ended up far better off than I would have been otherwise. I was so pleased with everything, I even let them talk me into a 3 year service agreement! I'll have to drive to Chandler for service, but I am happy all around with my experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this dealership was one of the worst…read morecustomer service experiences I've ever had. Over the course of more than nine weeks, my vehicle was in and out of the dealership for transmission issues, and although the transmission was eventually replaced, the entire process was handled terribly. Communication was virtually nonexistent. I had to repeatedly call just to get basic updates, and every time I spoke with someone, I was given a different explanation or told that yet another random part needed to be replaced. It quickly became obvious that no one seemed to know what was actually going on with my vehicle, and no one made any effort to keep me informed. Unfortunately, getting my vehicle back wasn't the end of the ordeal. Because it was still having transmission problems, I paid out of my own pocket to have it inspected by a transmission specialist. Their findings were alarming: the transmission was leaking, the seals were badly corroded, and the transmission fluid was completely empty. This was on a transmission the dealership had just installed. To make matters worse, the rental vehicle the dealership provided while my car was being repaired had its own issues. During the time I had it, the rental needed an oil change, so I took it in for service. After the oil change, the drain plug or seal had not been properly secured. By the time I made it to work--over an hour away--the rental had leaked out nearly all of its oil. I had to stop and buy oil myself just so I could safely make it back home and return the rental to the dealership. It was unbelievable that even the loaner vehicle experienced a preventable problem because of improper service. I immediately contacted the dealership and explained the situation. I reminded them that I commute more than an hour each day for work and had unknowingly been driving a vehicle with essentially no transmission fluid because of their workmanship. When I brought it back, I was told replacing the seal "isn't something they do." That explanation made absolutely no sense considering they had just installed the refurbished transmission. Even worse, no one apologized, acknowledged the inconvenience, or showed any concern that I had to spend my own money to diagnose problems that should have been caught before the vehicle was ever returned to me. As if that wasn't enough, my vehicle was also damaged while it was in the dealership's possession. It had been backed into something hard enough that the rear bumper had to be replaced. I wasn't informed about the damage--I discovered it myself when I went to the body shop. Instead of immediately taking responsibility, I was told they "didn't know it was there," which is extremely difficult to believe. The lack of honesty was just as disappointing as the damage itself. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a business responds when they make them. Throughout this entire experience, I was met with poor communication, inconsistent explanations, subpar workmanship, a complete lack of transparency, and zero accountability. Returning a vehicle with a leaking transmission and no transmission fluid isn't a minor oversight--it could have resulted in catastrophic transmission failure or left me stranded during my daily commute. Yet there was no apology, no ownership, and no urgency to make things right. While I appreciate that the transmission was eventually replaced, that does not excuse everything that followed. Customers should never have to beg for updates, pay out of pocket to verify repairs, discover damage to their own vehicle, fight to have legitimate concerns taken seriously, or have more problems created while driving the dealership's own rental vehicle. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. I genuinely hope they improve their communication, workmanship, quality control, and accountability because no customer should have to endure a nine-week experience like this simply to have their vehicle repaired.
