Went over the weekend to celebrate an accomplishment in my friend's life. From the get go I felt something was off. The bouncer had an attitude and kept asking me questions like someone that looked like me had done some crazy shit not too long ago. Anyways we finally get in and we get a table, the waitress hadn't even been over to our table and the dancers were already coming up to us asking if we wanted dances. I'm okay with them asking I know it's their job but let us get situate, let us order drinks, let us catch up, and don't get angry if we say no to you just move it along, we aren't on your schedule if I decide to get a dance it will be when I'm ready for it! We order our drinks the waitress was nice and she put drink napkins on the table. as soon as she left we got bombarded by dancers again and we noticed they were getting mad when we said no to them, at this point we haven't even gotten our drinks yet. Midway through our drinks they start bombarding us again and at this point we can feel that they are pissed off at us. One poor soul was so mad we didn't want a dance from her that she started talking shit and would walk by our table and yell out "bitch" at us. We got a second round and this time three girls come over, two of them sit on friends laps but I didn't let the third one sit in mine. She asked where the liquor was I offered her my tequila shot but that wasn't good enough for her, she wanted whiskey. I told her I'm not buying you a shot of whiskey but you can have my tequila. And have at least fifty years of experience going to strip bars. She has no tattoos. If that is what you prefer, chose another girl. Many are heavily tattooed. Negatives are the following. The free hamburger & fries that comes with a drink isn't that big or juicy. Beer selection is rather limited. I was ripped off once in the Champagne Room many years ago. You would think fancy, upscale places like this one are on the pricey side. But you can make your experience at Curves reasonably affordable if you do it right. First of all, there's no cover before 6pm or after midnight. If you really want to go in between those hours you can always rip out an ad from the Tucson Weekly, the local alt newspaper and use it to get in for free, if you don't mind walking up to the bouncer with a greasy pennysaver. That's what the kids these days call a "life hack." Plus the drink specials are really good. Every day wells and draft beer are two-for-one up till 7pm. The regular pours on draft are $7 for a 10oz so you're essentially getting 20oz for the same price. And cans/bottles are $4.50 during that same time. But the main draw here is the food. The prices are fantastic. The regular menu has burgers and a side of fries for $4.50. And the size of the burgers were pretty good. The price goes up a dollar if you get a fancier one. But the entrees are all under ten bucks! And that doesn't even include the 50 cent wings. There's no limit on how many of those you can get! The wings were a bit on the small side but at that price you can get twice as many as your normal order and fill up. Be aware that they don't do tabs at the bar so you either have to pay with cash or they charge $20 on your card per transaction and give you the cash difference back. There are also some excellent food deals on top of all this. Every Friday during the day they have 99 cent burgers and after midnight on Fridays and Saturdays they have a free taco bar. How can you beat free late night tacos on weekends? I was overall very impressed with this place. This may be my new favorite restaurant in town! Yep. Can't think of anything else to say about this regular degular restaurant. Even though there's enough space to dance inside the building this is not allowed, you will be asked to leave if you don't remain seated. The chairs look old and appear to be covered in semen, which is visible under the black lights. The cocktails are watered down and mostly consist of ice, that's kind of ridiculous for $9 a pop if you ask me. When you order a drink they come out in pairs so I had two beers and my wife had two whiskeys. By the time I got to my 2nd Guinness it was hot. Not cool.
