Went over the weekend to celebrate an accomplishment in my friend's life. From the get go I felt something was off. You would think fancy, upscale places like this one are on the pricey side. But you can make your experience at Curves reasonably affordable if you do it right. First of all, there's no cover before 6pm or after midnight. If you really want to go in between those hours you can always rip out an ad from the Tucson Weekly, the local alt newspaper and use it to get in for free, if you don't mind walking up to the bouncer with a greasy pennysaver. That's what the kids these days call a "life hack." Plus the drink specials are really good. Every day wells and draft beer are two-for-one up till 7pm. The regular pours on draft are $7 for a 10oz so you're essentially getting 20oz for the same price. And cans/bottles are $4.50 during that same time. But the main draw here is the food. The prices are fantastic. The regular menu has burgers and a side of fries for $4.50. And the size of the burgers were pretty good. The price goes up a dollar if you get a fancier one. But the entrees are all under ten bucks! And that doesn't even include the 50 cent wings. There's no limit on how many of those you can get! The wings were a bit on the small side but at that price you can get twice as many as your normal order and fill up. Be aware that they don't do tabs at the bar so you either have to pay with cash or they charge $20 on your card per transaction and give you the cash difference back. There are also some excellent food deals on top of all this. Every Friday during the day they have 99 cent burgers and after midnight on Fridays and Saturdays they have a free taco bar. How can you beat free late night tacos on weekends? I was overall very impressed with this place. This may be my new favorite restaurant in town! Yep. Can't think of anything else to say about this regular degular restaurant. Even though there's enough space to dance inside the building this is not allowed, you will be asked to leave if you don't remain seated. The chairs look old and appear to be covered in semen, which is visible under the black lights.
