My boat cover tore in a few spots while towing, Michelle reinforced the areas and had it ready to go the next day.

We enjoyed the boat, and were surprised how fast it went for its small size. It was cool checking out all the different coves! Would highly recommend this tour!

Omg! This was so much FUN!!! We went this past summer, in July. There were only, 4 of us, or…read more2-couples. I don't go boating often and was a bit nervous. In fact, not much an outdoors type except easy hiking. My bf, is ex-military and currently quasi-military, so he is much more 'comfortable' in activities like this. I wished I remembered his name but he made this easy, comfortable and was there to assist. He explained, safety features, foremost. He gives, you a safety vest and explains about it. They text you the disclosures and you upload your signatures. If you couldn't do that, he provided another way, in their kiosk office, next to boats. The meeting place is at their kiosk office. The ride was memorable! We did a nice slow ride through the channel UNTIL we got to the open lake. We stopped and he went through safety items and rules of the lake. When we had the 'opening up' of the throttle, that was scary and fun! Just a tip for newbies: Don't go behind a boats wake or waves! The ride is choppier!!! We went towards some rock formations and he explained the history. The lake was beautiful! Just gorgeous being ON the lake versus just seeing it on land! For some reason, it wasn't a busy morning lake day or maybe the early boat ride was just perfect timing because the lake was ours!! No lake traffic! It's like driving in a highway with no traffic!! This was worth the money and time! This was a fun experience on Lake Havasu! Safe. Enjoyable! We were glad we did it! We were inexperienced boat riders and we did it or rather my bf was able to drive boat. Just hang on!! I almost lost my iPhone! Thank God, IT FELL IN THE BOAT! Yikes! Fun fun on Lake Havasu with Rubba Duck Safari!

We reserved and paid for a 24' Tritoon with a 250 HP engine in advance for our family vacation…read more Just before our trip, we were informed that the boat was unavailable due to mechanical issues. The only options offered were a 20' Tritoon with 150 HP for the first day and a 24' Tritoon with 150 HP for the second day. This was a significant downgrade in both size and performance from what we reserved, especially considering we had a large group and specifically selected the larger, more powerful boat for that reason. To make matters worse, we were expected to switch boats halfway through our vacation, and the only adjustment offered was the normal price difference between the boats--not any additional accommodation for the inconvenience or the fact that they could not provide what we booked. Mechanical problems happen, and I understand that. What disappointed me was how the situation was handled. If you're renting for a special occasion or family vacation, I would recommend having a backup plan or confirming that the specific boat you reserved will actually be available. Owners response to this review: Thank you for your kind review. Its so nice that you have an understanding. That boat was booked everyday this week thru sunday, all those guests were understanding and were open for the change except you and you want to leave us a bad review for something out of our control. What, are we supposed to give you the boat for free? We can only do so much. Like all boat rental companies in this town we are all small business/family owned. We did what we could with such short notice and try to help you. We did not force you to take a different boat, we only were giving you options of what we had and could do. We have been in business for 19 years and there are only 2 other boat rental companies in town that have been around that long, all the others come and go after a couple of years. Now that you want to be extremely rude to us and give us a bad review, the rental is under (my husbands name) name, so he has call us and email us to cancel. GOOD LUCK to you. To be extremely clear, we would NEVER ask for a free boat. What would have been appreciated is some type of accomodation. The tube rental is $50, maybe throw in that for free. To be honest ANY type of offer would have been appreciated, instead of, too bad so sad, you get nothing you signed up for and you should just be totally cool with that. I honestly thought about deleting the review but then woke up to this nonsense.

    - Disappointing Experience & Questionable Charges…read more We rented a pontoon boat from Sandbar Powersports for two days, and the experience ended very poorly. When we returned the boat, we were told the propeller was damaged. I've owned a boat and worked with prop repair shops before, so I know minor dings like this typically cost around $150-$200 to fix. However, we were charged $350, which felt excessive--especially since rental companies usually get better pricing. To make matters worse, staff couldn't keep their story straight. One person said the prop needed to be replaced, then another said it was just a repair. That inconsistency didn't sit right. They also charged sales tax on the repair, which I don't believe is applicable. It wasn't about the $27--it was the principle. I even called local prop shops afterward and confirmed pricing was much lower than what I was charged. From the beginning, I had concerns. During check-out, they pointed out every small scratch on a boat that already had significant wear (over 1,300 hours). It felt like I was being set up for a charge. I understand paying for damage--but this felt more like price gouging than a fair resolution. Not how you treat customers. I won't be back.

Extremely disappointing experience -- would not recommend…read more My family and I are experienced boaters. We grew up going to Lake Havasu, owned our own pontoon for many years, and have rented boats from other companies without ever experiencing anything like this. Unfortunately, our experience with Nautical Watersports was extremely disappointing. When we picked up the pontoon, two people from our party were present. The employees were friendly and seemed very relaxed. We were even told not to worry about damaging the seats because many of the seams were already severely torn and damaged. Based on that interaction, we had no reason to expect the issues that came later. The first issue was the fuel. The employee specifically told us that we only needed to put gas in the boat if we were cruising the lake and going up to Topock. At no point were we told that the boat needed to be returned with a full tank. If that is their policy, it should have been clearly communicated during pickup rather than being buried in the contract. We put $40 of gas into the boat shortly before returning it because the fuel level was low. We also returned the boat early. Nobody at drop-off mentioned that we would be charged $90 to fill the remainder of the tank. Had we been told, we absolutely would have gone to a much cheaper gas station ourselves. Instead, we were later charged $90 for fuel. The big issue, however, was the propeller. When we picked up the boat we specifically noticed that the prop was already severely damaged. When we returned the boat, we were accused of damaging it and told we would be charged $240 for the repair. Despite the prop already being damaged prior to us ever taking the boat out, they completely dismissed our concerns. We were ultimately charged $270, not the $240 we were originally told, for damage we did not cause. And here's the part that really says everything about this company: While we were actually using their boat, there were legitimate safety issues that could have seriously injured someone. The Bimini came completely loose and slammed into my mother. The pin holding the Bimini broke, and instead of acknowledging that this was a maintenance issue that should have been caught during inspection and servicing of the vessel, we were literally told that the pin breaking was "an act of God." Never once did they ask if everyone was okay. The front door also would not latch properly and slammed open onto someone sitting next to it. These aren't cosmetic complaints. These are safety issues on a vessel being rented to the public. Unfortunately, when we brought these concerns up, the employees and owner seemed far more interested in charging us for a prop we had documented as already damaged than addressing the potential major safety issues with the boat. We are not inexperienced renters who don't know how to operate or care for a boat. We have years of boating experience and have rented pontoons from other companies many times. We know what normal wear and tear looks like, and we know how to take care of a boat. This experience left us feeling that we were taken advantage of and that our concerns were simply ignored. The owner is much more concerned with scamming people than legit safety concerns with the vessels. I would never recommend Nautical Watersports to friends, family, or anyone else looking to rent a boat on Havasu. There are plenty of other rental companies where you can spend your day on the water without worrying about being charged for pre-existing damage or dealing with poorly maintained safety equipment.
