I highly recommend this place!! The employees are INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly- and funny!…read moreI called around to a few other San Diego embroidery spots and either the customer service wasn't as great or the prices were astronomical or their machines were broken or they were commercial and wouldn't take my small project. I walked in to get a couple shirts embroidered but had no idea about font, color, etc. they helped me troubleshoot what I needed and printed out templates so i could actually see what the words would like like before they stitched them on. Turnaround time is great as well. Will post a follow up when I receive the shirts back.

Oh how I was wrong. needed 3 shirts to be embroidered after some chatting with staff about cost, turnaround time, etc. I was quoted at $50 + $20 per shirt, and a 2 day turnaround time. Ok, cool. Drop my stuff off, a week goes by with no contact, when finally I receive an invoice via email basically saying "once you pay us we will start work". Seeing as how I expected my shirts to be done 5 days prior, this wasn't great news. I send an email about the delay and got a quick reply from the owner. I'll spare anyone reading this the details, but it quickly devolved to the point where I was being gaslit about the size of my order (the owner says I brought 2 shirts, when in reality I brought 3. When I confronted the owner on this they doubled down, saying I'm wrong and they are right) and being accused of having "bad energy" and "I hope you have a better day, you need it" followed by heart emojis and other such nonsense. The next day, after having obviously not done business with KNB, I go to pick up my order and the guy behind the counter had 3 shirts waiting for me to pick up and take to a business run by adults. I could have accepted the delay without much complaint if I had been communicated with by a professional, but instead I felt like I was arguing with a high schooler about the simple facts of my order. For anyone who's made it this far: maybe this person was just having a bad day and isn't normally like this, but there are a ton of screen printers in San Diego, why risk it? P.S. I didn't even go into when the owner passive aggressively insulted the size of my order, saying that "maybe you'll be happier taking your 2 shirts to t-shirt mart"

ORIGINAL HEM (4 stars)…read more - Affordable pricing - About 1week turn around - Quality job - Pay at pick-up Over the phone I was quoted, $15 for alteration and $18 for "hem". Location is easy to find but street parking can be challenging. Upon arrival, you sign the sign-in sheet with name and number. I brought in a $110 pair of jeans needing alteration. I haven't worn baggy clothes since the 90s. But it's "in trend" again and didn't want the bottom of my pants dragging on the floor. They have a tiny corner they made into a "dressing" area and they did the measuring for me. It needed to be shortened but to keep the original bottoms in which they called "hem". Hem was vague and I had to communicate "original bottoms/hem" in the event someone re-reads "hem" incorrectly. She then puts on the receipt $15 which is regular alteration price and I had again to verify "this is for original bottoms" and she said yes and I had to re-correct her on her own pricing to $18 so there is no miscommunication of what service I need done and what I'm paying for. She couldn't log my service into the computer because it was down so she wrote me a paper order. A week later, I lost that paper order assumed they have a copy of that because I got the pink slip which is the carbon copy of the original. She didn't. They never logged my order in whenever their computer came back on. They didn't remember me. I had to explain what was altered, tried to show them I signed the log-in sheet with my name and number (seems useless, looks like they don't even archive that), and had to describe the pair of jeans. Luckily they found it but I think that was a bit disorderly. I checked the quality and it was great. Original bottoms aka hem was achieved! Will be back for more alterations on my baggy clothes. Until the next review...
