I highly recommend this place!! The employees are INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly- and funny! I called around to a few other San Diego embroidery spots and either the customer service wasn't as great or the prices were astronomical or their machines were broken or they were commercial and wouldn't take my small project. I walked in to get a couple shirts embroidered but had no idea about font, color, etc. they helped me troubleshoot what I needed and printed out templates so i could actually see what the words would like like before they stitched them on. I saw all the positive reviews for these guys, plus it's local, so figured this would be an easy transaction. Oh how I was wrong. needed 3 shirts to be embroidered after some chatting with staff about cost, turnaround time, etc. I was quoted at $50 + $20 per shirt, and a 2 day turnaround time. Ok, cool. Drop my stuff off, a week goes by with no contact, when finally I receive an invoice via email basically saying "once you pay us we will start work". Seeing as how I expected my shirts to be done 5 days prior, this wasn't great news. I send an email about the delay and got a quick reply from the owner. I'll spare anyone reading this the details, but it quickly devolved to the point where I was being gaslit about the size of my order (the owner says I brought 2 shirts, when in reality I brought 3. When I confronted the owner on this they doubled down, saying I'm wrong and they are right) and being accused of having "bad energy" and "I hope you have a better day, you need it" followed by heart emojis and other such nonsense. The next day, after having obviously not done business with KNB, I go to pick up my order and the guy behind the counter had 3 shirts waiting for me to pick up and take to a business run by adults. I could have accepted the delay without much complaint if I had been communicated with by a professional, but instead I felt like I was arguing with a high schooler about the simple facts of my order. For anyone who's made it this far: maybe this person was just having a bad day and isn't normally like this, but there are a ton of screen printers in San Diego, why risk it? P.S. I didn't even go into when the owner passive aggressively insulted the size of my order, saying that "maybe you'll be happier taking your 2 shirts to t-shirt mart" read more

Love the team at KNB! They took care of all our Little League hats that draw plenty attention! I also brought our jerseys in to get names on the back and the price was reasonable. They went above and beyond - finished the work before opening day even though opening day was postponed this year due to rain, they insisted on completing the job in 2 days! The place is a bit easy to miss on a crowded street but once you get there, you are welcomed by friendly staff who are also working! I can see why people might write a bad review since the final product depends on what the client chooses, designs or communicates. So if you are not specific about what you want and do not visualize what you choose, then you might hate the final product. But this isn't the business' fault. Personally, I had a great experience. They were patient with me as I went through all their fonts for over an hour. I returned the next day and took about 2 hours until I finally just went with it. I was nervous because I couldn't visualize how it would come out. The owner was super sweet and even suggested I go home and go over all the fonts. Eventually I found the font I wanted. They did not have it so they went as far as to download it just for me. Everything came out fine. My advise to all of you is to be specific and clear. They will produce what you want but make sure both of you are on the same page. read more

The proof was texted to me as two photos merged together, so only the bottom picture displayed on my phone. We found KnB Printing through Yelp and saw all the great reviews so we decided to give them a try. A part of our company's mission is to provide quality products to our customers but unfortunately the work we received from KnB did not align with our mission. We had two designs/projects which required single color embroidery on hats with 3D puff effect. We supplied the blank snapbacks, a brand they have used for clients. Tony was great. He provided excellent customer service and he was very professional. The cost to digitize was $40 per design. We loved the fact that they provided a sample sew out which included our design with the 3D puff effect on fabric. Everything checked out. We made sure our design dimensions would not be a problem since it was within the max size requirement (2.25" x 5"). They began production for the first design on July 22, 2016 for a total of 49 units. While they were working on the first design, we had them digitize the second design. Our first design had a quick turnaround. They were ready for pick up the following week Thursday July 29, 2016 along with the sample sew out for our second design. Our team reviewed the finished snapbacks and noticed several issues. Some just looked too sloppy and rushed. 1. Some snapbacks had a strange arc on the letter "R". 2. Some snapbacks did not look as clean as the others. It appeared as if the machine got stuck on certain areas applying multiple stitching awhile other areas looked loose and were missed. 3. Some of our trucker hats were melted/burned during their heating process. We informed Tony of these issues and KnB agreed to repair them. We had 24 of the hats go back for their repair process on August 2, 2016. Our team was concerned and hesitant to have KnB work on our second design. We had KnB create another sew out sample of our second design without the 3D puff assuming we might have a better success rate if we removed the 3D effect. On August 12, 2016 came by to pick up the sample sew out for the second design and also asked for an update on our repairs. I was told that they might be done the following Thursday August 18, 2016. August 18 passed and did not hear from KnB. I sent an email on August 30th. Got a response on September 2 stating that they were extremely busy and the person doing the embroidery will be coming in Monday (Labor Day - September 5) to finish our hats. Got an email Tuesday September, 6, 2016 and picked up our repaired snapbacks and we were offered 25% off our next project but we have decided not to use KnB any longer. The overall repair process took a little over a month. The repair did fix most of the snapbacks for instance the letter "R" issue while there are still a couple snapbacks that doesn't look as clean. Because of the repair, you can see the holes from the original embroidery. In regards to our trucker hats that melted, they weren't able to replace them. They offered to credit us the cost of the embroidery for the damaged trucker hats but we would eat up the cost of the damaged merchandise. Since we're no longer having them fulfill our second design I insisted on a refund instead of credit. Haven't seen the refund or heard from KnB regarding this. In short, KnB is not for us. A bit disappointed that it didn't work out and our snapbacks lack quality that we provide our customers. read more

These guys are great! I found KNB on Yelp several months back when my company was looking to switch vendors for our company shirts. Our old vendor would get our orders wrong every time, and they were always delayed. Switching to KNB was the greatest choice! Kirston is super-responsive and her company delivers quick service. We have plain t-shirts silkscreened through KNB, as well as embroidery on our company polo shirts. They were extremely easy to work with when I needed the files for our logo recreated and had the artproofs back to me shortly after I sent a PDF version over to them. After checking out many places and others telling me to do vinyl on a backpack or they could not get the job done in 5 days, KNB said sure can and recommended no vinyl, just embroidery (this is what I wanted in the first place anyways.) I walked in Monday morning, gentleman helped me, picked out a font (the guy was very patient and waited while I sorted through them all), paid and was told it would be done by Friday.
