Here, I brought in a small item, and without hesitation, the Receptionist contacted a Subject Matter Expert for it. JAKE rocks... ask for him if you go here for any Metal Work!! This review is late in posting as I meant to do it last year after my second wonderful experience with this company. I am a contractor in the Austin area with 30 yrs in business. I have two experiences to share. In the winter of '21 we were finalizing a a kitchen remodel in Round Rock and had a single custom kitchen cabinet that needed some metal perforated panels cut to specific size. I figured I would need to leave the panels with them for at least a couple days before they would be ready for pick up. Not this time. Jake and I reviewed what I needed and he decided to do it right away for me. And for a very reasonable price. I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience and very happy as he saved me time and money. Plus, the pieces were cut EXACTLY to dimension and fit the design as planned. Thank you Jake!!! Second experience was late last summer regarding a Sunroom kit one of my customers purchased who had asked if we could assemble/install it at the back of her house. Not typically what I do but decided to take it on to help her out. The Sunroom was to be installed on a deck and the specs of the location made the Sunroom too wide. Every alteration required was easy to do onsite but there was a steel wall flashing piece that needed to be either precisely altered or a new one made to the new size. I brought the piece to Custom Sheetmetal with the new length needed. The very next day the piece was completed and ready for pickup. I expected a bit of rough workmanship due to the design. Not with Custom Sheetmetal. The alteration was perfect!!! After I spray painted it white to match you couldn't tell the difference between the altered piece and the factory made ones. I needed work (cut out 4 1/2 inch holes in my armor plating) for my Jeep's rear quarter panels and stopped by on the off chance they could be assistance. Jake looked at the armor went through options with me and provided a bid. I dropped it off first thing in the morning and it was completed by noon. The work was clean, perfect and presentable even when it didn't have to due to being covered up by rubber gasket where it wouldnt show. The worst customer service I've encountered in years of dealing with construction suppliers. Their arrogance is as bad as it can get. Don't ever think that talking to the owner is going to get any better than talking to Amanda he is probably worst that she is. Yes is the first time I order that specific piece and I needed some help from them. If you don't know exactly what you want 100% don't expect any good service from this company. Called and asked for some lintels for a one of our job sites. I needed some guidance and making sure that what we had ordered as the right things before they produced it, so I asked if they could just show do a quick sketch to make sure we were on the same page about it. His answer was "I cant do this if you want you need to drive here. I explained that I could not leave work, he said well dont order and started going off on my till i hanged up the phone on him. This is just the end of it but since day one that we tried to order this it was nothing but bad attitude. So after this incident I looked up other companies in the same area, I approached them with the same information and asking the same questions as requesting the same things ALL of them happily helped me and not only that their prices where less than half of what Custom Sheet Metal wanted to charge us. read more

Years ago, a business was forged in the fires of freedom and, on the anvil of the free market, it was hammered into the shape of America. I've now been a customer only twice, but both times I was treated far better than I could have expected considering that they are, in fact, the only game in town. Add to that the fact that they were both small orders. But they never made me feel like a dispensible customer. They went above and beyond what I needed. Most businesses in this situation would have slapped it together and charged double for the annoyance of a small job. Not Custom. They made the piece in front of me and actually had to be convinced by me that it was exact enough before they would consider it complete. And then, when it was time to pay... let's just say I was shocked. In a good way. I am not sure how many good things you can say about a business but this one is top of the list. As we were unpacking the Christmas tree we saw somehow during the year one of the handymen must have step on the bag the tree was stored in and sheered off one of the support arms on the stand. I went on yelp and found this company on a mid Saturday afternoon and Ron answered the phone. He stayed and waited for us while we drove over to his place and expertly welding the arm back on. I was so appreciative I asked him how much for the repair and he would not take any money. Not only did he stay and wait while we got from our house to the place of business and did a first class fix job he wouldn't take any money.
