Not only that, he takes time to make recommendations based on future projects he's not yet contracted for. He first installed our 16x16 foot cedar plank pressure treated deck, paying close attention to how this deck would be part of a larger project. He made recommendations such as installing shorter steps on one side to make a natural walkway from opposite sides, to designing the stairs that lead to our firepit area in such a way that it's GORGEOUS. He heard my dream of having a sunket firepit and brought it to life! He made recommendations on size according to budget and even hunted down the exact type and color gravel we envisioned. I had them do some work for me several years ago and they did a good job…read more So, when I needed another job done, I called on them. That was a big mistake. I have no idea what has happened to the company since my first experience, but this wasn't what I expected. When I checked on their progress the first day, there were several issues that were quite obvious, so I had to point those out to them the next day. Then, they cut the bottom of my gate fence far too short than necessary to fit a paver underneath. It was very unsightly and below the standards of a very strict HOA. They promised to come back in three days to fix the gate and asked for the rest of the payment for the project. Being trusting, I paid them. That too, was a mistake. From then on, they either made excuses or didn't bother to respond to my many emails and phone calls. Finally, after threats of legal action and mention of recordings on outdoor cameras of them promising to come back and fix the gate, they finally came back about 1 1/2 months later and repaired the gate. Fast forward to March 19th. I noticed the mortar used for the stones was separating and/or breaking apart in several areas. So, I first contacted Love for Lawns by email and notified them of the problem, because the workmanship is still under the 1-year warranty. In response, on March 20th, they told me they would put me on their "warranty schedule". That never happened and they never responded to any of my calls and emails after that. After a Google Review, the last email I received from them was on May 19th, stating "I will schedule the repair for next week". Again, I have not heard from them since. I tried to be patient and probably gave them more chances than most would before I took to Google Review and Yelp to provide reviews. I finally resorted to sending them a 'Final Notice' certified letter dated June 3rd, giving them 10 days to respond or I would pursue legal/regulatory options. Still no response as of yet. So, here I am.
