Jeff and his crew did a great job installing solar panels on my home. His sales guy (Mike) talked through a number of options, with many follow up calls/emails to answer my questions. I also got 2 bids from other companies where this bid cost less and was for better equipment. The crew installed the racks and 27 LG 350 panels (with Enphase microinverters) in about 2 days (usually half days), they were very professional and even answered any of my questions fully, took care of all the permits and TEP interactions, and upon system turn on Jeff himself spent a few hours with me walking through the website to get solar readings on my equipment along with discussing all the ins and outs of understanding the readings (now and in the future and what to watch for). The system has been operating for ~2 months now and I just got my first full TEP bill with solar producing most of my electricity (~90%) where my electric bill effectively was reduced in Sept by ~$250 (and this was without any Fall/Spring credits since just turned on). Jeff and his team and hard working professionals with extensive experience in solar systems. Communication was A+ throughout the process, including obtaining HOA approvals, permits, working with the utility company, getting the parts and installation. We had a big systems with 55 panels and full panel replacement, and the team work early every day until late afternoon to keep us on schedule. All inspections passed on first attempt and Jeff was accessible and reachable through the whole process. I believe the price was very competitive using the top brands and components. We didn't even look for a second bid. My only regret is not meeting Jeff sooner and getting solar a few years ago. I'm already looking forward to batteries and a few additions in a few years. read more

It took me a while to write this review.I owe it to the owner of company Jeff.Before we decided to go with Custom Solar,we had gotten quotes and interviewed half of dozen of competitors including big guys and small ones.We felt the most comfortable with Custom Solar.Process was straightforward but somehow slow,because of all involved steps.When system was up and running we had a little glitch which was resolved by Jeff himself (installers were to blame).Over a few months we have encountered one outage which was caused by new firmware for inverter.Again Jeff saved a day.Since than system is performing as it should.We are making our own electricity.Good bye high TEP bill. Excellent! The installation was correctly sized for our historical energy use. When we added a plug-in hybrid vehicle two years later and improved the energy efficiency of our home, we were still able to satisfy 95% of our energy needs. We are extremely pleased with after the sale response. When there was a minor fitting that had become loose two years after completion of the installation, Jeff the owner personally came over and fixed it. I felt so confident about this business that I subsequently recommended it to four other neighbors who expressed an interest in solar. Jeff & his team installed a solar hot water heater and new control box in early 2015, for about half the price of the other bids I got. They did a quick and efficient job! Now, in mid 2016 the pump to the solar panel started leaking. Jeff sent a tech around quickly and he fixed it under warranty. Excellent service! read more
