The office indeed had not reached out. My time is valuable and communication is expected. Come to find out- booking for this company is handled by an AI "assistant" named "Dane." Nope. Buyer beware. First of all, I have owned a number of rental properties. Electricity issues are rare and you need a professional. The microwave kept tripping the breaker. The microwave was only 5 years old so I didn't suspect it was causing the problem since I've had microwaves over the years that last 10-20 years. Volt came out and charged me almost $1,000 dollars to assess and supposedly fix the issue. (It was $959, just looked at my checking acct). He also told me he likely needed to come back out again and do a more thorough assessment of the electricity which wouid be another $1500-$2500 since they "could not guarantee the issue would be resolved long term". I declined to agree to this and now realize I was being set up. The breaker started tripping again that very week. After thinking it through, I wondered if it could be the microwave itself. I called another company, Modern Electric out of Green Valley. They literally took less than 10 minutes to evaluate the problem--it was simply the microwave. They charged me $125.00 for the visit. I'm so fuming mad at being treated so dishonestly by Volt Electric. There should be a way to turn them in for this dishonesty and I might just do that to the registrar of contractors. I am not a person to leave bad reviews, but this is a serious breach of ethics by this company. read more

Volt Vikings visited our mobile home and quoted $1345 to install a ceiling fan we had purchased. Yes, that's right - $1,345! Today, we had it installed for $170. It took the electrician 1 hour to install the fan. Shame on you Volt Vikings... read more

To be clear, the Technician that came out (Joey) and completed the work deserves a 5-Star. He was very polite, professional and showed up on time. He was also left the work area very clean and even patched up some exterior stucco that was affected as result of pulling out a broken junction box. My issues stem with the rest of the process. I just needed a small, simple junction box replaced (quotes at $450). While the initial appointment was easy to set up through yelp, the guy that arrived worked VERY hard to upsell me on upgrading my entire electrical system (quoted at $55,000). After being very clear that I just wanted the initial job done (plus my house is only 8 years old) he continued to push a $55,000 project and even said he would email me the bid after I declined multiple times. I understand why companies upsell, but I did not get the sense that he was prioritizing my priority. When I called back to schedule the actual work to be done, I dealt with an AI assistant named David and took a long time to get to a real person. The AI assistant ended up scheduling another inspection, rather than install appointment. I finally connected with a real person (who seemed to be from a call center out of the country, although I could be wrong). They did eventually fix the appointment but it was still a lot of work to get it scheduled. Joey was great and completed the job... but the upfront service and communication was frustrating enough that I won't be using them again. read more

An excellent company. We just had Rich come out and install two NEMA 14-50 (Hubbell) outlets in our garage. The job required quite a bit of conduit, and Rich did a superb job. The end result was a really clean, tight installation. We are very pleased. Rich was pleasant and explained details thoroughly. Yippee! I found electricians that I like! It's my lucky day. I had the tag team duo of Richard/Jess who were fun, helpful, easy going and obviously got the job done efficiently. They were open to me learning and being part of the fan installations, hot circuit, etc. which I really appreciated. It's nice to know you have a company you can count on. This is a family business and you can tell-in a good way. When you call you are greeted by a friendly voice who wants to help. I am a community manager here in Tucson and a retired electrician from NY. They were recommended to me and I have never been more pleased with their work and their prices. They give appointments and times and show up when they say. The young women who answers the phone(sorry forgot your name) is pleasant to speak with and a good addition to this company. I even had Jesse and Joey at my home to install a fixture on a 12 foot vaulted ceiling. They clean up after themselves and were knowledgeable about their work. I would not use anyone else! read more

Extremely pleased with United Electric, who we hired for a series of kitchen and bathroom lighting improvements - under-cabinet kitchen lighting, installation of wall sconces, new bathroom vanity lights, and a couple of other minor upgrades. We are thrilled with the results and really enjoyed working with both James and Ryan, the two electricians. They did a great job. James even figured out how to get the little cabinet to the left of our sink wired up for the under-cabinet lights. We were almost ready to give it up but he figured a way to run the wire unobtrusively, and we're really glad he did. James is really easy to work with and has a great eye for detail. Ryan was a pleasure to work with as well. In addition, they cleaned up after themselves very well, patched up places they had to do wall cut-outs, and things look great. Most importantly, we're really happy with the results. While the under-cabinet lights are the star of the show, the bathroom vanity lights look great, the sconces are great, and they figured out a vexing issue with what had been a non-functional outlet wired incorrectly previously. Now it works! We would definitely use United Electric again. And we will. You should, too. read more

To avoid hassles and disappointment, we always research businesses before hiring them. United Electric had glowing recommendations everywhere we looked, and they have not disappointed. We've now used them for three updates and have been very happy each time. In the most recent project, they installed a new light over an island, moved a can light that matched others in the kitchen from another area of the house plus added it to the switch with the others, installed a new solo can light where we removed the other, and added a new outlet for a beverage fridge. Every team member we've encountered is reliable, polite, and efficient. They also respect your property and clean any debris/dust from the work area. We've recommended them to family and friends, and we definitely will hire them for any future needs. read more

'Received good service from United Electric, with one caveat; thus one star removed. I called on a Monday to have my new hot tub wired to a 220v outlet I had installed months before. It's a very simple job that I could have done myself, but 220 volts around water made me think twice! I was quoted a minimum of $80 to around $120 tops and the tech would be out four days later. Fred arrived right on time, but had no wire or conduit to do the job. Hmmm... Why would anyone assume that a "regular Joe residential customer" would have such things lying around? And I was never asked about this. No worries though. Fred just went to our nearby Ace Hardware, soon returned with what was needed, and quickly did an excellent job wiring the spa. Sadly, when the invoice arrived, it was more than twice what I was quoted! I must assume that I was charged double due to the tech's failure to come prepared? Ultimately, my take is that there was just a misunderstanding when I placed the service order. It happens. The final price was fair and the work was good. I do recommend this company. read more

While selling our house recently, we had to get them out to look at some things. They did another top notch job for us. They are very honest and get right to the heart of the problem. Not recommended. Needed a new bathroom fan. Instead of installing one about the same size, they installed a much smaller, cheaper and noisier one. As a result a lot of drywall work needed to be done of course at my expense. Overall I have a worse fan and a bigger expense. Instead of finding something to work for my house. They used the only fan they carry and install. Convenient for them not so great for me. read more

These guys were great! They showed up early to the appt we scheduled and fixed my whole list of issues in a good amount of time. I felt they charged me appropriately, and I feel I can say that because another company came to my house to "fix" a few issues and charged me almost the same for doing nothing. Adam helped us diagnose and fix a huge problem with some complex under-shelf halogen lighting. We thought it would cost thousands to have new shelves made with new lighting, but he tracked-down existing LED fixtures and installed them perfectly. I would absolutely refer this company to a friend. They are super responsive, reliable and respectful. I have recently hired them for a service call and so far have been thoroughly impressed with the communication and level of customer care I have experienced. I work with a lighting company that requires service calls to previous locations that have experienced power outages, surges, ect. And we look for good contractors that are reliable and have an easy line of communication, this is one of my favorites so far. If you need work done, you can count on them. read more

James and his associate were here on time; listened to what we wanted. He went back to the shop, was able to get the part, installed it, and we were in "business" again. Day 1 - I hired United Electric for some small lighting jobs at my home. On day one, they installed a new electric outlet (above another and fishing the line), Changed out a faulty GFI electrical outlet to a standard outlet, and moved one light about a foot. I did not watch the time very closely but the Electrician and his assistant say they were here for 6 hours! I got a bill for $594. I have been wiring with electricians for many years and these jobs should have taken 2 hours at the most. Day 2 - I had not yet gotten the bill from United Electric, so I had the electrician and the apprentice back. They switched the housing of two square can lights to a regular lighting receptor. They also added a new lighting receptor (ready for light installation) right near the other cans that were changed out. They charged $400. I am horrified that they did 6 small jobs and charged $1000!!!! This job should have been $400 total. Even my dad, who came over later thought it was double what the price should have been. This is my first review EVER! I felt so ripped off, that I had to post. read more
