Failed to stand behind their work…read more Had multiple issues throughout the construction phase that were pointed out and never taken care of . Horrible construction management. Having serious issues with our foundation cracking and leaking even with a rubber membrane. Not to mention it was poured 6" too short in height. We paid to have the foundation scan to find out that there was not enough. Rebar used to stabilize the foundation. Refuse to take care of the problem. We had to have one of the cracks (which leaks and allows water to come in, )fixed for over $5000 and now I have another crack that we're going to have to pay over $5000 to take care of. I've been working with contractors for over 38 years professionally and I've never not been able to work out a situation as a team. Would not recommend them!!!!!!

A few days later we got the quote. It was astronomical. We wanted to work with this store, so we called to ask why it was so high. This was not our first quote. I would not leave a one-star review for just a slightly higher price. This was a full 140% of what everyone else charges for the same exact product. As crazy as that is, even that wouldn't merit one star. The one-star review is for the snow job we got when asking why materials were so high. We were told this was the "landed price" and that other places probably charge shipping. Well, no...in fact shipping was free from other places. We pointed this out, and he said "Well, if that's the case, send me a quote from somewhere else in writing, and I'll have to have a talk with the sales guys." Posting this so any future customers make sure to shop around before accepting a quote. I'd hate to think if we were less informed and just accepted the job because we liked the guy. It was literally thousands more just for materials. Their labor, which they subcontract, was super high too. Disappointed since we wanted to work with them. Not a lot of good options in the Capital Region.

They moved my contents in front of vents to cover filthy floor verse clening them. Their employee left a flashlight in my furnace. The house filled with smoke, almost 40 min. I was left homeless. Catamount REFUSED to put me, a DISABLED lady in a hotel. Dan, (owner) refused to file an insurance claim. He promised to take care of it. LIES He seems so nice. Fooled me! wouldn't clean my dirty covered clothes, blankets or replace filthy food. I had to sleep on a bench & chair. I BEGGED FOR HELP. I have ALL of this conversation in text & will show anyone that asks! I told Deborah NOT to pack my TENS of THOUSANDS of $$$$ worth of Jewelry. She did anyway! I told her NOT to pack specific rooms unless I was on video with her. She did it anyway. She also went through ALL of my personal drawers, cabinets & properly without my consent. Being disabled, I wasn't able to get there 2 days. I feel violated. This is in text, proving what I'm saying. It's not ok. U see, she wanted to pack quick when I wasn't there so she didn't have to clean. Everything was thrown in boxes. Nothing was wrapped. They kept blowing me off for other jobs.i didn't matter. It took them FIFTEEN MONTHS to finish my house. I had to pay rent & utilities over there & couldn't live there because after they finally cleaned up the flashlight incident, Deborah had packed every. Heavy boxes 5 feet high! I couldn't get those down. The pain of sleeping on a bench with my disability was excruciating. I would cry to the manager Deborah. Beg for accommodations. I would have taken an air mattress. They offered NOTHING & though this was their fault from the flashlight. I was living there fine with the soot. If Catamount filled an insurance claim, I would have been taken care of immediately. Are you ready for the kicker? Then, someone, NOT ME, FRADULENTLY SIGNED MY NAME on the completion forms. He was granted over $9,440 of my $20,000 insurance money. The adjuster Steve Mendrek allowed the claim to go through WITHOUT my initials on this bogus form. Plus it was so obviously a fraudulent signature. I believe Steve let I go through before he even had this fake completion form! Dan put fake dated of forms. Luckily, I have texts from Dan proving otherwise. When I told Dan (owner) he needed to clean the basement & rethink the $$$ amount of my money he took or I'm going to social media & BBB, He told me he did clean everything & to not threaten him! I said "I would never threaten you. I have over 200 photos, videos & boxes of my contents with soot on them. It speaks for itself. Plus broken items. 4 of ur employees can attest to how my house & contents was still covered in soot. I'm simply asking for you to rethink that number. You are taking HALF of my Insurance $$$." He was rude again. That was it. I've been so stressed. I landed in the hospital 3 times. Also had 2 see a therapist for the first time in my life. I've had panic attacks. Chest pains. Pain on the upper rt side of my head causing a short bout of the right side of my face to droop. Please contact me if Catamount Response has also done you wrong. I'm a Christian woman & only want what's right. I for justice. God is on my side. I've posted some random texts & pics that will corroborate my review. The boxes that look full of junk, is how my contents were packed under Debs watch. CHECK this out!!!! DEB leaves a vmail that she's sending guys to moms for me to sign off on that house. Even though I hadn't seen it.WE donknow if it's clean." Deb screams I SAY IT IS! I held out for abt 3 wks for Dan to come to that house & see those boxes. He came, yelled & Scared me. Then wrapped boxes in lvng rm only. My bedroom & upstairs rooms were never addressed. When I saw them, everything had soot on it. In the end, on 3/24/23 Dan sent a Payment form for me to sign, where he will get paid directly. I did. However that was the only form. He stopped communicating with me practically immediately. Certainly stopped doing any & everything he had agreed to do for this JOB. Then as I said earlier, fraudulently took almost HALF of my Insurance monies. It's in the air if my Google review on Catamount Response has been somehow removed or not. I know Yelp will keep it up! WANT A REAL EYE OPENER?! In the middle of his work, we had a leak, and James discovered the source as coming from a dormer. He fixed it and replace all the siding perfectly. The leak is gone. James is polite, timely and responsive. If he has to change his schedule due to weather, he calls. He cleans up each day very neatly, a big plus! And his skills go beyond carpentry. His prices are fair and his work is high quality. We recommend him highly and will use him again.
