My fingernails are ruined. I asked for the dip polish to be taken off to let my nails rest, did not want to have new dip set, and the lady used a drill to take polish off! I assumed she knew what she was doing, but I could tell when my nail bed got hot that it was ruining my nails. So disappointed. I have had several bad experiences there, but kept going back because there aren't a lot of better choices, but when you actually have your nails damaged, I just felt like I needed to make a review. Just waiting now for the damage to fully grow out. There is a sunken half moon shape now on all my nails. This was two months ago. See the photo. Don't chance it. I will add to the list of people who wrote the worse pedicure EVER!!! took an elderly friend and plopped down a lot of money.for a pathetic pedicure. They did a rush job my elderly friend toenails, my toes were cut so short that they actually still hurt. The polish job was so poor I had to ask someone else to do it. i walked in and they had me pick my color, i then asked if they could do a simple french tip and they said yes and told me where to sit, i was sitting there for maybe 10-15 minutes and then the guy came and drilled the top cot and polish off my nails and left the rest of the nails on, then he said give her a minute and she'll be right with you and walks off, then 45 minutes go by and im still sitting there and he's sitting over there on his phone, i looked at my phone to see what time it was and realized i had to leave i had already been there for an hour. Unless you call ahead or get lucky to get Jenny or Kevin you will probably leave feeling ignored with a strange color on your nails and bleeding cuticles. The owners don't take any interest in customers. Everyone seems overworked, mad or tired. The decor and supplies are old and tired as well. They don't invest in matching color sets or jelly pedicure baths. Do yourself a favor and make the drive to Kaufman for a modern experience if you can afford the extra time. read more

I would love to say this place is amazing, but I can't. It is just ok. Granted the options at the lake are limited and usually you wait to get a seat, it was just ok. On the positive side I was able to walk in this morning and be seen immediately. They had a huge color selection and the massage chair worked. I had a deluxe pedicure and dip mani. I will admit the leg massage was solid and the paint job is solid as well. However, I want more attention to my feet to get ever single piece of dead skin off of them. Same for my hands. It was ok, yet I would have appreciated more TLC on my hands. $30 for a dip mani and $40 for the pedi. read more

I got my nails done a week ago and two popped off. I went back in today and got them fixed. No biggie, right? Wrong. They look distinctly different and when I asked for a fill in, to even them out, I was told I had to pay. I was very satisfied beforehand but now I'm just disappointed. I have went to Cute Nails in Gun Barell Tx. 5 different times, ABOUT TIME, I AM DONE! they are rude and arrogant, anything I've tried to ask about my services, they are very rude or ignored me and have replied two different times that they know what they are doing. They are also ignoring distancing, I have took two different people with me, one they upgraded the type of service we requested without making it plane what they were doing, which was my nephew who could not understand what they were saying, he said the female doing his was flirting with him, the other person I took was argued with and had to get a different person to do her pedicure. I wish I could give them a zero-star review. I went in on New Year's Eve so Monday the 31st to get my nails done. My boyfriend's sister-in-law recommend me this place but she said she had not been in a while due to her pregnancy. Anyways, I go in and ask to get a manicure and was told it would be a couple minutes before they got to me. I patiently sat down and waited for my turn it was about 35 minutes later when he finally sat me down and said someone would be getting to me soon. I was sitting next to a little girl that was getting her nails done and was almost finished. The man doing her nails told me I was next in line so I nodded and replied, "okay." After he finished her nails there were two other little girls that walked up to him and asked if he could fix their broken nails that fell off. I eventually hear the mom behind me at the counter asking someone about helping her as well with the same issue, she then came over to the guy fixing her daughters nails and asked for her nails to be done. The man tells her we are busy but then points to another lady saying she could do the woman's nails. Finally, after the one little girl gets her nails fixed, I was TOLD to MOVE over very rudely by this man. He started out by asking what I wanted, I replied fake acrylic nails with gel on top. He began to put on the fake nails which was done very quickly, then he files them down which hurt he eventually gets to my pinkie nail and is using just a regular hand filer and catches the fake nail on the file which causes it to slip and grab a hold of my real nail ripping it off almost completely!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I had a picture to put on here and may even try to get them taken off just so I can take a picture of them for this review because the gold is still under my nails!!!!!!!! I turned red in my face and yelled "That was my real nail!" I pulled my hand back and almost started to cry. He then tells me "Oh sorry, I will put glue and another fake nail on to stop it from hurting." Are you kidding me!!?? Eventually, I calm down and at this point I just want him to finish so I can leave. He then puts the first layer of the nails on(the pink acrylic part) after that he filed those down which he hurt me again! Still not trying to be gentle and I was saying ouch over and over again but it seemed like he did not care at all. We finally get to the gel part of the nails and this part was the worst I got gold glitter, he puts it on and it begins to slide off my nail after the third coat of polish and so when I am sticking my hand under the UV lights to dry the polish is sticking onto my skin. He had to file some nails down and do it again because they were so bad. The aftermath when I got into my car was, I had bumps and ridges on my nails. And I spent 45 dollars on what?! Oh, and just so I would shut my mouth they gave me free lotion. Other things I wanted to mention: -A girl came back in after her pedicure to say that there were ants on her sisters' leg during her pedicure near the back wall. -The man doing my nails was the manager, Henry. -And I had to go to another nail salon right afterwards to get them basically redone. Which was City Nails(BEST NAIL SALON EVER) the manager, Andy was the nicest guy ever telling me he was sorry to hear about my experience at cute nails. I told him I have been getting my nails done for a long time now and that cute nails were the WORST experience of my life! read more

Said it was fine. It was very very sloppy. The girl even cut my cuticles TWICE. Maybe it's an okay salon for this small town but $60 for a pedicure and manicure is NOT worth the sloppy service. Since she didn't have time to stay she left, & after I saw them I COULD NOT let them get away with this RIP OFF. We went back up there after doing our scheduled plans & tried to simply get a refund. They REFUSED to refund the money, tried to fix the nails when we couldn't understand why they weren't done right in the first place. My cousin didn't want them fixed at all because she had been cut multiple times as well so I refused. THEN the female "owner" gets involved who I must say is a CUNT. She tried to force my cousin to sit down, I told her not to touch her and to simply just give us our money back. They then refused to refund unless they could take the nails OFF. I refused to let them butcher her hands anymore & the female had the NERVE to put her hands on me telling me to calm down. Take your business ANYWHERE else it's honestly not worth it to be treat with such disrespect & to have such a shit establishment with horrible owners. I do not know his name but the guy with the highlights did my friends nails he sighed and rolled his eyes when she told him how she wanted her nails shaped and still didn't shape it right, slapped her hand multiple time because she needed to "relax" her hand, they don't have their nail license on display like they should, and to top it all off they charged her $30 when she has always only ever paid $25 at this place every other time she's been here. They also cut my cuticle and made me bleed which I have provided a picture of. This is by far the worst experience we've had here and will not be returning. read more

I could get my nails done in a variety of cities across the USA however, I choose to wait untill I come back to GBC because Henry and his staff care about my satisfaction. His wife is sweet and his son even convinces me to try new things...and my nails are always fierce. I have worn acrylics for 13 years, and 3 of those years worked as a state sanitation inspector. I never have to remind them to sanitize at Cute Nail, and believe me with my background and knowledge of Salon Sanitation requirements I sure would speak up. Anyone who wears nails knows getting the viscosity, length and thickness for your lifestyle takes a few weeks. All sets break, polish chips, they're not ever perfect at first. Mine even crack and lift some weeks based on my lifestyle and habits. You have to get to know your nail tech and they've got to get to know you. So- to you with the negative reviews I urge you to try them again. They will always be nice and do their best. Their shop is clean. They provide good services at a reasonable price. Oh, one more thing. Go for the solar powder. It's worth the extra few dollars. read more

My daughter and I went yesterday for pedi's and she got her nails dipped. Both of her colors were wrong and the lady who did her nails was aggressive with the way she wanted my daughter to hold her hand (she's gotten her nails done for years and it's never been a problem). The nail tech was very rude and rolled her eyes constantly, sighed loudly at my daughter. Besides the wrong color on my daughter's toes (the nail tech who actually did the nails wasn't the one who pulled the color), the two men who did our toes were very nice. We have been there before, and had better service. Even with the wrong colors, I would have returned to this place, but I have little tolerance for rudeness. read more

First visit and I won't go back. I should have cancelled my appointment as soon I saw how dirty the front glass door and windows were. Looked like they had not been cleaned in a very long time. The guy who did my pedi did not even cut my toenails. One toenail was smeared and not repaired. The lady who did my nails - I got a french gel - did not even put the top coat on one hand - something I did not realize until I got home. My mani lasted less than a week and a gel usually lasts 3 weeks for me. I was very disappointed in the service and how dirty the shop was. I do not recommend this shop. I tried this place out for the first time the other day because my normal place was closed. I called to make an appt for the next day and was put with the larger man that sits at the desk to the right of the door. i asked for an acrylic fill with the same color i already had on. he immediately started chopping off my tips with the nail clippers while also chopping off my real nails underneath, which caused them to immediately start bleeding excessively. he went to soak off the acrylic i already had on and saw that my nails were bleeding and said "oh this is gonna burn" and proceeded to soak them in acetone. after gluing the new tips on he proceeded to dump the pink powder on top of my nails instead of packing on the powder with the wet brush like i asked for. my nails turned out uneven and bumpy. i got charged for a full set when i specifically went in there for a fill. he not only did the exact opposite of what i asked for, but really hurt my fingers which were sore and bloody for the next few days after. i won't be coming back to this place. read more

Never again! I recently moved to Mabank and needed to find a place to get a gel manicure. My local friends suggested this place, but told me only to go to Henry or Paul. I called and made an appointment with Henry. I showed up and told them I had an appointment with Henry, they all looked at me a little weird, but I thought nothing of it. A lady asked me to pick my color and started soaking the gel off my nails, I figured she was helping out while Henry finished with his previous appointment, it's perfectly normal at other places also. They have pretty awesome little containers that go on your individual fingers to soak off the gel polish. Then she used the nail file DRILL to remove the rest of my gel polish, this is really when I sat there in horror and mourned my healthy nails, I should have gotten up at this point and left. I did not. She might have known how to apply regular nail polish, but she had absolutely no clue how to handle gel polish. She had to re-do two of my nails. Never once did she ask me if I wanted an extended manicure, which I'm thankful for, as all I wanted at this point, was to leave. My nails look like I tried to do them at home. I have polish all over my hands, the top coat of gel is all over my cuticles, the nail polish is uneven and the polish is already starting to crack on the ends. Maybe my experience would have been different had they actually adhered to my scheduled appointment with Henry, but as it was, I will NEVER go back to this place. Kept messing up and when I got home I think I could have done a better job after I noticed all the imperfections. Today I went because VIP nails had a long wait... I had a great experience with VIP before. I decided to give cute nails a 2nd chance since it was just my nails. Omg... this lady took an hour to do them. It was just a dip with no tips ( not able to have long nails at work) I was there an hour and she puts top coat on and walks away and never comes back. Finally after pisst off after waiting so long I get up to pay and guy who gives me my bills tells me I need to rinse hands off with oil. Sorry my gal left me and didn't tell me crap. I was so pisst off with my experience I will not go back. Gorgeous inside. Very relaxing and prices are reasonable. I like that they actually show you a menu of services so you know what you're getting and the prices. I also liked that the tools for the pedicure was in pre- packaged wrappers that they open in front of you, so you know the items are clean and sanitized. I will definitely be going back! :) read more
