FIVE STARS…read more I hired Peter to do some extensive work on my Cabin in the Western Catskills (Near Walton NY) and from the our initial conversations it was crystal that this man was really smart, a problem solver, creative and really knowledgeable about all things contracting. He attentively listened to my vision for creating a cabin that fused simple minimalism with modern appeals and amenities. He asked many questions and then set out to execute that vision with elevation by elevation brainstorm sessions. Once I knew that we were on the same page with respect to the vision for the cabin then Peter brought in his crew to make it happen. They went through this place like a contracting tsunami, working diligently everyday to get the job done. The project began with prepping for the buildings power wash which meant removing many items from the building that the previous owner had installed like satellite dishes, decorative animals and planters. After that was done Peter did a beautiful job of power washing the exterior during a serious rainstorm. He was like a machine!!! I have never seen anything like it before. It was 58 degrees outside (chilly) and torrentially raining while he did the job which took all day but he did not stop until he was satisfied with the quality of his work. After it all, it is clear that he holds himself and the quality of his work to the highest standards possible. He also shared his ideas for various aspects and stages of the project development that made the original vision even better than originally planned. For example, we were looking to add a splash of color around that house and had settled on a red front door but with Peter's input we changed course and painted parts of the porch red instead. That pivot mades the front of the house look fantastic and modern like Louboutin Shoes!!! Peter is a mastermind and I could go on and on about how great of a job that he did on our cabin but I'll let the photos do all the talking. I would like to also say that Finish Line Contractors were extremely responsive to my calls, scheduling, and were incredibly reliable. They were also so trustworthy that we gave him access to the house even when we weren't onsite so that he could get the work done on time. In the end, I feel very fortunate to have Finish Line Contractors do my renovation. They made the final result better than the original vision. I plan to use them for another build in the spring because the initial experience was so great. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a talented, honest, hardworking visionary contractor that gets the job done right.

And just when I thought it couldn't get better Willy and the crew showed up and got to work setting up heavy tarp to protect our landscaping before starting tear off. The cooperation of Shawn and the great drone pictures throughout the project was amazing. And they finalized the project with a sweep of the yard picking up every single screw/nail and left nothing behind. Then the beginning of June they showed up to my house at 7am with no call, no notice nothing. A guy was sitting in my driveway, didn't come knock on the door. Then exited his vehicle grabbed a ladder & put it on the side of my house right where my bedroom window is, where my wife was getting dressed for work. My wife was beyond upset, I called the office to explain to them what happened & all I got was we are sorry it won't happen again. obviously it won't happen again, you guys are gonna do the work & leave you won't be back. Then the Forman for the job texted me & said he was busy getting materials for the job & apologized for not communicating that his guys were showing up. But a phone call takes two seconds. if you had a minute to text me you could have called me to let me know your crew was showing up. Once the job was completed they sent the invoice immediately & it said I had 30 days to pay. I called the office to yet again explain how frustrated I am with my experience & how this is gonna reflect my bill. to no avail, I got "oh a company wide email was sent out to explain this can't happen". After all that I got called & texted 4 times each asking when I was gonna pay. Yet again I thought I had 30 days to pay. All in all invoice was paid & I will not do business with you again beyond unprofessional.

The gentleman they sent up to help was absolutely talented and kind. But the owner, Jeremy, was not amenable to fixing the entire problem. He allowed the contractor a certain amount of time to work, but the original issue remains. I'm disappointed in how Jeremy handled a situation that should have been done correctly to begin with.

Of course, that doesn't include any plywood that may be needed, so by the end of the job the final cost was $26,000.00. So now the shingles are torn off and the project starts at around 10 AM A crew of none English speaking feverishly start the job. They continue working (men and women) until almost dark. The next day we got a good look at the final job and noticed the most horrible, unprofessional, uneven "Valley" one would could possible have. I contacted JSK and told them I wanted them to fix it. Jeremy Sager (owner) said that there was nothing wrong with it at first, but after a heated discussion, he said that it was our fault because the roof rafters at that location were sagging and it would cost us another $5,000. to remedy the problem. My question to him was, if they knew the roof rafters were sagging, then why not tell us before they covered them up. The whole experience with Jeremy Sager was very unsettling and his behavior was that of a very spoiled and undisciplined Child. This opinion of him has been shared by many professional businesses who know of him. Stay away from JKS Construction/roofing Co.

I cannot say enough good things about the barn, the communication, the work ethic and the staff! They paid great attention to ensuring access was maintained for our neighbors on our one lane road and were respectful of our property. The barn itself is well constructed of high quality materials. Minor concerns we had were addressed quickly and professionally. In addition, the price was significantly less than other vendors for a superior product! Highly recommend!

Kauffman built it on a #2 stone pad that I had prepared at a very reasonable cost I gave Kauffman some requirements for the building so that it matched the other houses on my property. I wanted a screened in porch on the front and although they had never done that , they agreed to do it . They showed up prior to the due date at 7:00 AM with the building parts and carted them down a steep embankment next to the Susquehanna river. A group of true craftsman put the building together in 7 hours to my exact specifications.
