As a retired nail tech of 38 years, I can honestly say Kayla gave me THE BEST pedicure I've ever had! First of all, the online booking process was very easy and the menu and pricing were clearly explained, as were all salon policies from late arrival to last minute cancellations. Walking in to the spa I noticed immediately that it is scrupulously clean, very beautifully decorated, lovely retail displays, well lighted and smelled great. Was immediately greeted by the front desk, checked in and offered a beverage. I asked for water which was brought to me in a glass with ice! Kayla was very professional, was very thorough, great attention to detail, fabulous massage and perfectly applied polish. All of her tools were either clean or new and disposable (as required by state board) The pedicure area is beautiful as well. The music wasn't too loud, no employees talking with each other, no loud TV, just peaceful and calm, which is a refreshing change from a walk-in type salon. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town to visit family and will be sending my mom here for her nails and pedis as well. And before you say "they are too expensive", I have paid $80 for a subpar service in walk-in McNails salons that left me with cut & bleeding cuticles, unevenly filed nails, poorly applied polish and zero cuticle clean up or smoothing of heels and soles. I am not one to complain about a service even though my name may trend otherwise but this one got to me. I got gel polish here Saturday morning and by the evening the polish had teared. Obviously, I can't do anything until Monday morning since they're closed Sunday so I endured my polish peeling little-by-little throughout the weekend. I called first thing Monday morning which I was offered to reschedule but due to my work and already planned upcoming weekend plans there was no availability for me. They offered to follow up and they did and asked for pictures. Without hesitation I sent them over which is when I was offered a, "We will gladly add a $15 credit to your account for a polish change the next time you come in." What do you mean for my next visit? I paid $120 for this and you think I'll be returning? What a joke. If you're going to offer luxurious service, please provide luxurious product and customer service. Luckily, they agreed to refund the card for the $15. I guess I'll just have to pay out of pocket to remove their mistakes. Lesson learn and I hope you learn from mine as well. P.S. My nail tech friend just let me know uncured gel (as seen in the picture) is dangerous and can cause an allergic reaction. Yay for me! She asked if my hair was clean and then she dry cut my hair, turning me away from the mirror; not giving me the cut I requested and was out the door in 20 minutes. They took my gift certificate of $65 when all I received was the $42 hair cut (which was way over priced). If I could give 0 stars I would. Never ever will I return. read more

I was very specific with what I wanted and for what I received, I felt I could have achieved the same effect if not better, with a box color from Walmart. The stylist was nice, but the skill wasn't there. I also left with the purple toner all in both earlobes and while the back of my hair was styled, the front wasn't. It was as if we hit the 2.5 hour time and she just stopped. She said I could book another appointment and we could try again. I won't be back and would not recommend. The only reason I'm giving a one star is because of the ridiculous price increases on nail services. They want to charge extra for EVERYTHING. If you want the acrylic nails longer than your fingertip, EXTRA! What person gets acrylic nails that aren't past their fingertips? They finally got a good nail tech and then suddenly start to price gouge on all nail services. They don't even have a lot of choices when it comes to nail polish and polish for designs, but they will be sure to charge extra for it! Will be taking my business elsewhere to get the same services for much less. read more

I am a snowbird and needed a root color. Their menu, as they call it, listed it at $61.00. I was charged $20 extra because I was new to the salon. I am not a resident of Yuma but I am here often to visit my parents who live here. Needless to say needed to get my hair colored roots were showing and a trim. Salon was very nice and relaxing. I was able to book my appointment online. The stylist who did my hair was nice and did a perfect job matching my color. First time here and I definitely will be back when in Yuma. It used to be a great place before the new management, she's not about customer service or keeping clients happy as this place was before. I went from having a membership and going there often, to canceling membership and no longer going there. Used to be my happy place and one stop shop but new owner was very rude during a service I was not happy about and I had to pay 280 dlls for something that was done on my hair, that I said to the cashier and hair stylist I did not like. All it was offered to me was toning. I used to buy services for my family but not anymore. It really sucks. I used to be an elite membership holder, I used to come here often (at least once a month), I did say to the hairstylist I did not like and I tried not to be rude. I was still charged for it, I did go to a toner appointment but I was showed how my hair would look like and I did not agreed to that. I'm not trying to bring down a local business, when I used to come here daily I spent a lot of Money on several services. I'm sorry but it's about how rude the new manager/owner was on the phone with me. You don't ask or tell your clientele "I don't know what you want" that's all about, the lack of customer service now... I am a big supporter of local business but not when I'm treating in a rude manner and poorly when I expressed my concerns from the beginning before I pay. Also, they started making unsolicited appts on their own not just to me but other customers. Horrible customer service, I tried to reschedule twice due to a busy lifestyle and car issues and school appointments the second time I had a kid's school emergency and had to cancel 30hrs before the appointment was not even warned about my bank getting charged 50$ for cancellation they right away took it. no warning not even a minute passed and BOOM they charged it to my card no excuses. Service requested was a haircut, all one length, for my daughter, which is very pricey because of her long, thick hair, so our expectation is excellent quality. Her hair was cut and styled/curled nicely, so no need to wash and restyle for a couple of days. After washing, some seriously crooked strands were clearly visible (needless to say EMBARRASSING!!) on her back which was surprising! Telephoned and requested stylist fix the crooked strands. After being put on hold briefly I was told to come in before 10am and same stylist would get it fixed. Upon arrival, without even looking at her hair, I was asked if I or my daughter cut her hair ourselves, which of course not! Then basically was accused of cutting it ourselves since it had been more than their "1-day policy" and told there would be a charge for a whole new haircut! Didn't realize a LOTUS salon haircut would need to be inspected so closely afterward because the expectation is excellent quality. Terribly disappointed and offended, especially after being told to come in and it would be fixed. We went to another stylist for better service and better quality. NEVER returning to Lotus, but they do not seem to care. read more
