This business is listed as a booking agency in a list I bought on the internet. I called this morning to explore the possibility of enlisting their services as a booking agency. This very aggressive and unprofessional male voice on the line told me that the company has closed down its booking agency. I asked him if he was willing to share the reason for closing down the booking agency. He immediately started screaming at me, talking over me, telling me that I am rude to ask him why the booking agency closed down and called me an ass hole and a jerk. He then hung up the phone on me. I hope for the business sake this person is not a manager of the business sake. Although I identified myself, he did not identify himself. I hope he is more professional in handling customers. Steve was the DJ for our wedding last weekend, and he was awesome throughout every step of the process. Cutting Edge Entertainment, and especially Richie Abrams, provided a phenomenal experience for us and people are honestly still talking about what an exceptional job he did as our DJ and MC at our wedding on Valentine's Day. He elevated the experience for everyone involved in a way that completely exceeded expectations and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to take their event to the next level. Melissa and I took the drive out to Cutting Edge's location after reading positive reviews on the usual sites for those planning a wedding. I had looked over their website and was interested in some of their blogs on various musical topics Our intital plan was to hire a live band, but after weeks of watching YouTube videos, we realized that anything that wasn't incredibly corny was going to be outside of our budget. We did truly believe, however that the most important factors going into the wedding were food, booze and music. Everything else would work itself out. Fortunately we went with Cescaphe Event Group at Tendenza so the first two were no problem buts thats another five star review for another day. To be perfectly honest, my fiancee was a little apprehensive when we first arrived to meet with Richie. She felt the place had a little bit too much of an immature vibe. There were movie posters, video games, a room to play Rock Band and an inexplicable framed picture of Justin Guarini (I later found out he used to work there). Her fears were almost immediately assuaged once we met the crew and sat down with Richie to talk shop. Our personal approach to the wedding was to be as hands off as possible. I love music and I am definately very opinionated about it, but I understand my own limitations in terms of the right approach for a party. Also, we felt like we were in the price range for a premium DJ and if I wanted to design my own playlist, I would just plug in an Ipod. You don't go out to a fancy meal and then go tell the chef how to cook it. We felt the same way about the DJ and it was completely the right way to go. We talked very casually with Richie about our interests so he could get a feel for us and our taste. He told us some of the things he was firm about (line dancing, heavy metal, hardcore rap) as well as suggestions that his extensive experience had provided him on how to make the night flow well. We were dead set on some, but after listening to his advice, we slightly tweaked certain things like entrance music, song selection, etc. and he was absolutely right on all fronts. We left our two planning meetings with Richie feeling very confident and he.... totally... delivered. Night of the wedding and everything is... well, just like you would expect, a total blur. Cescaphe hit all the perfect notes on their end and Richie was the icing on the cake. He MC'd like a boss. He made people laugh, he made people cry. He knew when to hit all the right cues. He really paid attention to the conversations we had and from time to time during the dinner and making the rounds, I would catch songs that I had discussed with him way prior and didn't really expect to hear. And of course, the most important part is the dance floor. It rocked every second of the evening. I have never (an SO MANY of my guests have said this as well) been to a wedding that had a dance floor bumping for as much of the night as ours was. Our wedding was adults only but spread very much from people in their mid 20s all the way to people pushing 90 and I'll be honest, there were all dancing all night! My 80 year old grandmother said she hasn't danced that much in her life. He played the classics, he played the hits and even though he may have lingered one beat too long on the oldies (because the old folks wouldn't stop dancing), one suggestion from a bridesmaid and he switched it up to the high school beats that had all of my friends in a circle singing and dancing to the songs we grew up with. I know this is a long review, but there really is so much to be said about the level of professionalism, class, expertise, knowledge, approachability and just downright fun that Richie and the team at Cutting Edge bring to the table. There is no doubt at all that they will be my first choice for my music needs in the future and it should be yours too. read more

My family hired Cutting Edge for my sister's Bat Mitzvah, which was themed "Club Alexa". Their preparation began long before the day of the event. After thoroughly discussing our ideas, they went to work. Craig and the crew did an amazing job incorporating our personal requests with their creative flair. In addition to the decorations set-up by the party planner, Cutting Edge added some extra electronics to take the party to another level. They set-up large screens around the room to display fun graphics to match the music. And let me add that the music was amazing! Their company offers so much more than just DJ entertainment. We decided to add a live music combo to the mix with an awesome drummer. We wanted the night to start with a bang, so we requested they pay extra attention to the family entrances. Working with the theme, they pre-taped a video with my sister in the opening scene of a rap video outside a club. Our guests were pumped watching it and by the time my sister walked in (arm in arm with the dancers) everyone was roaring. They did a great job keeping everyone entertained during the party. Their professional dancers got everyone out of their seats and onto the dance floor. Craig and the other MCs scattered games with great prizes throughout the night. There were tons of give-away's and other great surprises; there was never a dull moment. Sky's the limit with Cutting Edge. If you have an idea, run it by the crew and they will make it happen. We were so lucky to have found Richie as our DJ. We had an italian and indian fusion wedding, which required music from both sides. We were very concerned that this would be difficult to pull off. However, Richie worked very hard to accommodate all of our needs, and it showed. He did an amazing job and our wedding night was perfect!! We had an exceptional experience working with Richie. There are so many things to figure out and deal with when planning a wedding and some of it can be a bit stressful, but working with Richie was a very smooth, easy and enjoyable part of our process. He gave us plenty of time and attention up front to help us plan songs for various parts of the wedding (procession, father/daughter dance songs, etc.), and gave us great suggestions when we asked for them, as well as was very interested in what kinds of music we would want (and not want) at the reception. On the day of we never had to worry or think once in regards to the music. He arrived with an assistant (as planned), he coordinated the pre-ceremony music & ceremony procession music flawlessly (in a separate space from the reception), his microphones for the ceremony worked seamlessly. Then for the reception everything went great with introductions/toasts/etc, and he made special announcements for things we wanted the guests to know about. As for the dancing, everyone kept raving about how much they enjoyed the music and loved the songs he picked. It was a hit with our younger and older guests. In fact several guests told us he was the "best wedding DJ" they had ever seen! The dance songs he played were a nice blend of songs we had discussed previously and songs that fit with the crowd and the music we enjoy. Our wedding was pretty compact in 5 hours from start to finish for the Ceremony and Reception and Richie did a great job making sure the timing and flow were moving along with our timeline. He was always very polite, fun, easy to talk with and very professional. I cannot recommend him enough. The other nice thing about Cutting Edge is that if a DJ were to be sick on your date you would have a backup with one of the other DJs. If we had to do it all again we would absolutely go with Richie again, and are recommending him to our friends and coworkers who get engaged. read more

Richie thinks of everything - there are so many little details about planning wedding music that we never would have thought of on our own, and Richie covered every detail with us. He was incredibly professional, and we instantly clicked with him and felt at ease. We knew we could trust him to make our wedding a blast. We had so much fun in our prep meeting with him, listening to all kinds of music and making our choices for the wedding. He never rushed us or pushed us into making song decisions that we didn't like, but he was also very helpful in making suggestions and providing helpful ideas. We had no worries going into the day - we knew that Richie would be a great MC who would have everything running smoothly. When we made a major change on the fly to move our first dance outside, Richie was totally cool about it all, and it all went off without a hitch. He does a great job of getting everyone on the dance floor, and he worked very well with all of our other vendors (most of which he had worked with quite a bit in the past).
