Simon demonstrated an incredible ability to read the crowd, play the perfect mix of songs, and keep the dance floor packed all evening. Simon's skill in curating a diverse and engaging playlist was impressive. He managed to blend a variety of genres seamlessly, ensuring that there was something for everyone. What truly set Simon apart was his ability to work with the crowd. He had an intuitive sense of what would keep guests on their feet and engaged. The dance floor was never empty, and it was clear that Simon has a knack for gauging the mood and adjusting the music accordingly. Beyond his musical prowess, Simon was professional and personable. He was easy to communicate with, took the time to understand our preferences, and ensured that our vision for the night was realized. We also added Barbara on drums and Zach on saxophone to the team and they were both amazing too! Their addition of live music to Simon's tracks added a level of energy that made our wedding unforgettable. So many of our guests said that our wedding was the most fun wedding they have ever been to, and it is in large part because of how awesome Simon, Barbara, and Zach were. We can't recommend them enough.

All of my Polish family had the best time even our friends who don't speak a word of Polish were out on the dance floor loving every song. His transitions between Polish hits and American wedding favorites were seamless, keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed the entire night. Simon played for five straight hours without a single dull moment -- not one song had an empty dance floor! He also perfectly handled our Polish traditional toasts after the ceremony and did such a great job pronouncing the Polish words -- it meant so much to our family. Our ceremony music was flawless, especially my groom's walk-in song! Simon timed it perfectly, and it truly gave us chills. We first loved him when he DJed our friends' wedding, and we feel so lucky to have had him for ours. Thank you, Simon, for making our wedding day unforgettable. You brought our vision to life and made the night one giant celebration of love, culture, and fun. Highly, highly recommend!!!

We worked with Scratch Weddings for our Labor Day wedding at the suggestion of a friend. While I…read morehave a lot of professional DJ friends, we specifically wanted a wedding DJ so our friends could relax and because they have experience navigating the particular wedding format -- as well as the ability to send a back-up if your chosen DJ is out sick. They were very communicative about the process, the rates were fair and they helped us selected our DJ. We are a queer couple (LGBTQ -- they vendor was gay/lesbian/queer-friendly FYI). We worked with DJ Lady FX who was wonderful and looked fabulous on our big day. The vendor uses a platform where you can create all your own playlists for you type a folks out there who want to be hands on with the music (which we were!). We wanted a lot of 90s gay ballads and oldies and not much modern music and they were totally great about meeting our needs. Leading up to the event, we went over the particulars which was very helpful. The DJ was able to provide mics during the ceremony and make all pertinent announcements. They even made sure they could pronounce everyone's name properly. They were very sensitive to our requests about when to use pronouns/titles and when not to (Mrs. vs no title). Which we really appreciated!! Our only complaint is that we notified the contact at the vendor about a specific clip from my late father to be played during the ceremony which we were told would not be an issue but that didn't get communicated to the DJ so we had to move it until the reception which wasn't what we had planned for. In the end, it wasn't a significant issue and overall we were very pleased with our DJ and vendor. We would also recommend them to any brides shopping for a fair deal and good quality DJ.

I booked our wedding date through Mariela, though we mostly worked with Liz throughout the planning process. The spreadsheet that they gave us was really helpful as a guide to think about specific songs we needed to choose. We were able to give them a sampling of our favorite music, so that they had a good idea of what to play. Liz worked with our caterer to make sure we had all the proper equiptment - especially after we changed the room set-up by adding a tent to the back porch of our venue. We had a choice of 4 DJs originally and we decided to go with DJ Qlassick after watching some videos on the Scratch website. A little before the wedding, we were able to schedule a conference call with Liz and DJ Qlassick to go over everything - name pronunciation, song lists, must-plays, and do-not-plays. We went through the night's timeline and were even able to send DJ Qlassick some songs, via Dropbox, that aren't acyual songs -- different clips from video games and things like that that some of the groomsmen wanted as their intro music. DJ Qlassick arrived early on our wedding day to get set up and he helped get the party started! The music was just what we had asked for and everyone had a wonderful time dancing.

I gave him a…read moresong list a few months before and told him I wanted old school hip hop and R&B which is music from the 80's and 90's. It was my 50th birthday and while I was getting dressed I could hear the music and was very disappointed. I told my coordinator please tell him to play the music I gave him. To his credit, he changed the music choice but not to what I gave him. By the way, my dad complained about the music too. He said the first 2 hours no one was dancing because no one knew the music he was playing. My dad said that he and two other people asked him to change the music. He never even scratched the turntables which is a normal practice when DJs play old school hip hop. He just played music from his computer and made a few announcements. At one point, I even had to ask him to play one of my favorite songs by Meek Mills which again was on my song list (I'm a true Philly girl at heart) There were several times I even glanced up at the booth and he was sitting chilling talking to his colleague who worked the photo booth. After the party and everything settled down, I looked over my song list and noticed that he only played 4 songs from my list of 30 songs. I reached out to him and shared this information with him along with my original playlist, and his response was, I played most of the songs, and when you were on the dance floor I played the songs you liked, and I kept people on the dance floor. First of all, I only danced 3 times and that was with me asking him to play 2 of those songs. As far as keeping people on the dance floor that was the last hour or two of my 5 hour party. I was paying the bill and it was my birthday celebration, so all of my songs should have been played. I was really looking forward to him coming and expected much more from him, especially for what he charged me (over $2000 including photo booth) Maybe I just caught him on a bad day, but I was very disappointed.

It alleviated some of our stress knowing that we had one less thing to worry about having our DJ secured for our new date. Their website was so organized and helped us to put in all of our requests and create our wedding timeline. Steve, our DJ, called us to discuss all the details and make sure that he knew everything we wanted so that he could make our day perfect! And it did turn out perfect! Steve was fantastic. He knew how to read the room and play what the crowd was enjoying while also sticking to a lot of our requested songs. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. Steve had everyone on the dance floor from our 25 year old friends to my 87 year old grandmother (who I haven't seen dance in years!). We got so many compliments on the music and how much fun our wedding was!! I highly recommend Soundfactor for anyone looking to have a perfect wedding reception.

They're not comparable to the other DJ's that I've looked at. We were assigned Cole as our DJ for our wedding and he did nothing short of an amazing job! He was lively, followed the itinerary exactly without confusion, and played awesome music that appealed to everyone. He also did our ceremony. Originally we were going to go with a live band but for a fraction of the price they offered ceremonies in their package and I don't regret it. There were no mess ups whatsoever and he made our night run so smoothly. DJ's are so important to weddings - they set the mood for the most part and people rely on them for a good time. I can assure you that was achieved with Cole. My guests had come up to me afterwards saying how great he was. My husband and I also had our guests light sparklers. We ran through a tunnel that they did for us and at the end of the tunnel I was surprised that Cole had set up his speakers was playing one of my favorite songs (not planned by any means). I had notified him that we were doing a sparkler event to cap off the night but I had NO idea that he would be outside playing music for us. It was the perfect ending to our wedding day. Please look no further for a DJ. I cannot speak any highly enough of these guys. This company is awesome and Cole is a fantastic DJ. I'm so glad he was a part of our wedding day.

Leading up to the wedding, Johnny met with us a few times and really took the time to understand our music taste and the vibe we wanted to create. He asked thoughtful questions about our genre and artist preferences, what we wanted played during dinner, how to handle the key moments and peak dance hours, and even made sure to go over our "do not play" list. We walked away from those meetings feeling completely confident that we were aligned--and it truly showed on the big day. We had so many guests come up to us during and after the wedding asking where we found him and complimenting how great he was. He created such a fun, seamless experience for everyone, and we're so grateful. My initial call was about a year in advance of our wedding with John Alexander and that went smoothly. I stressed how important the emceeing portion was to me and he ensured me that DJ Nick would be a great fit. I watched DJ Nick's intro videos and loved him so I proceeded with booking. I received an automated email in June that I'd be hearing from my DJ soon, but didn't so then followed up on June 22nd with no response. I then texted John June 25th. Again, no response. We were only 2.5 weeks away from the wedding and had a holiday weekend between so I sent another text the following day to follow up. Finally he responded and said my DJ would call me next week. My DJ did not call. I had to send him another text the following week letting him know my DJ did not call. I told him that instead of waiting on the call I booked a meeting on their online calendar. At that time he just sent me "DJ Khoa" with his telephone number and zero context. This is a week out from my wedding that he tells me we have a different DJ than we booked. it wasn't until I call him and say "What happend with DJ Nick?" that he tells me that Nick had some things come up. It just seems like the owner of a company should be a little more proactive in letting clients know about when an issue arises rather than having a client reach out 4 times and then finding out a week before her wedding that it's a different DJ with a completely different emceeing style. DJ Khoa did a fine job and it's no shade to him but it was not what i was looking for for my wedding. Overall i would avoid Eclipse at all costs and not do business with John Alexander.
