I've been going to Nora Apothecary for about five years to get harder to find supplements prescribed by integrative health professionals. Their retail section carries an extensive selection of specific lines of supplements, specifically Pure, Thorne, Solgar, Designs for Health, Integrative Therapeutics, Metagenics, and Ortho Molecular Products. They also carry some OTC pet products. But their primary function is as a compounding pharmacy, one of only a handful in town and 2 or maybe 3 on the north side. There are two pharmacists who work there, and one in particular, the owner Tony, is super friendly. I won't name names, but the technicians can be hit or miss in terms of their knowledge and customer service. I've never waited more than 5-10 min even when I didn't call in a refill first, but obviously it would be best to do so. I have cross-referenced prices between Nora Apothecary and another leading compounding pharmacy. They are more or less similar and can be less than prices charged by one health care professional who carried much of what he prescribed in his office, which was one reason I started going there to begin with. Given that they are a fixture on the north side, quick and friendly, I will continue coming to Nora Apothecary.

I asked him his name because I wanted to make sure I had it when I report him to the State Board of Pharmacy and to CVS corporate. As a response he took the insulin away from me that was for my son, who had run out of supply today. He said he wasn't CVS and didn't have to give me the insulin and forced me to apologize. I will never patronize the CityWayCVS again and if I can help it, any CVS which is hard due to their monopoly on the market. Completely uncalled for and unprofessional.

When I tried to purchase my Allergy medication she informed me I was denied, handed me a receipt, and told me to leave. I left and found out online that if I purchased 15 24-hour tablets I would pass the 30-day limit on Pseudophedrine. I found out that if I bought 20 12-hour tablets instead I wouldn't be over the limit. It wasn't exactly what I wanted but it was good enough to relieve my allergy symptoms for the time being. I waited in a long line again and explained to the same pharmacist what I found out. She looked at me like I was a criminal, and told me she couldn't help me because I was already denied once. I asked her if I could go to another pharmacy and get what I needed. She didn't know. I went to a cvs later that day and was politely helped to get what I needed.
