This is a compounding pharmacy which is an added bonus. Larger places like Walgreens and CVS are not. The staff all seem to enjoy their job. Great atmosphere. Times when they don't carry something if you ask they will order it for you and usually get it in the following day at prices cheaper than Walmart in most cases. As far as prescriptions go you can not beat their prices. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a more personalized professional experience from their pharmacy.

Make sure you know when the store closes when going in because this store does NOT practice NORMAL…read moreclosing safety procedures and will most definitely lock you in the store, and then you'll set the alarm off and have to call 911 because you're terrified you'll get shot at if you didn't let them know what's really happening. Then you'll be told the store manager doesn't feel like getting out of bed at the time, so they'll review the footage in the morning, but if any part of the "story" I was telling was incorrect, I'd be charged for breaking and entering, robbery, obtaining property by false pretenses, etc. Nevermind the fact that you're in a panic attack and have PTSD so the whole situation has your nerves tore up. If you can avoid this store at all costs, you should. ALSO, they'll even sell you someone else's prescription even though you handed over your license to get your own medication. The staff is ALWAYS rude. If there's one thing you can count on, it's that the staff here will always act like it's an inconvenience to them that you'd like to purchase items from this store. It's bad. The entire store needs an overhaul; get rid of all the employees, including all managers, all pharmacy employees too EXCEPT FOR ONE LADY, the sweet, sweet elder African American lady that works in the pharmacy. She's GOLD compared to the rest of us staff throughout the entire store. There's a whole laundry list of problems with this store that I have documentation for every single incident that I will be following up on with corporate.

First try the calf high stockings would not stay up. Second try the stockings were not sheer and to heavy. First time there was not an hassle with the return label. Second try I was told I had been given a one time courtesy and this time $6.95 for the postage on the return. When I complained, the agent said she would go ahead and issue a full refund for the very last time. Keep in mind that I had just spent $125 on a new order going back to the knee high 15-20 compression. BEWARE!

The sub was prepared by taking the same sub bread, laying cheese down, and then placing 4 meatballs down that are either sitting in a pan with sauce or are heated in a microwave with sauce, but those are definitely frozen meatballs. They then wrap it up and that's it. The bread is served cold and the cheese isn't melted in some places. Its not what I would consider a hot sub. I really had high hopes of having crunchy hot bread, with some melted cheese pull when I bite into it. I also didn't care for the sauce. It has too much Italian seasoning in it, taking away from the marinara and overall taste. The place is a small take out only establishment that is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely return for cold cut subs and pizza. For the price, it's a great value.

It was also, and still may be, one of the popular gas stations and convenience stores for High Point Central High School students. I know it was during the time I was a student there. I'd regularly see my classmates at Smitty's or go there with them. In high school, I used to go to Smitty's to fill up my parents' cars and use their credit cards to pay for gas. I always wondered if the cashiers inside would question me about using credit cards that weren't mine, but they never did. This was back in the days when pumps didn't have credit card readers on them. Also, IIRC, this was a Union 76 gas station then (late 90s), but the convenience store was still Smitty's. Today and for years now, the gas station is an "E Stop" (eSTOP) which I've never seen anywhere else. This is a small station with eight pumps. Despite the bigger-name gas stations and convenience stores that have come and gone on the catty-corner properties (e.g. BP, Sheetz) Smitty's has persevered.
