This pick up area, at the front of the store, is a hoax. Real pick up is at the back of the store.

made the mistake of ordering something online from Walmart and having it delivered to my local store. Instead of being at the front of the store, pick up was at the back of the store. It took 10 minutes in line for the associate who was blowing up balloons to help me. She couldn't scan my receipt code from the Walmart app that it was designed for; so I had to hand my iPhone to the associate so she could punch the numbers in one at a time! Then when she retrieved my box it had already been opened! I will never EVER shop Walmart online again! Walmart has a whole lot to learn about customer service, and customer retention! Walmart also has a hoax pick up area for online orders at the front of the store. Real pick up is at the back.

I received taped up, slit open cookies. There were two gaping cuts that were not even covered.

II would not recommend the grocery pick up at the Asheboro location. Placing the order online was the only good part of the process. Everything else was bad. I do not live near this location, but work a few miles out and they had the cookies I wanted to try, so I decided to go after work. First, I went to pick up my order while I was in Asheboro, but not near the store. I called and received a recording about closing for Christmas. I went into the store and located the kiosk, scanned my bar code and waited. I tried to ask the lady that was handling self-checkout about how long it would be after I and another lady had been waiting (I had been over ten minutes) as the instructions stated. She turned her back to us. Then, we noticed the small television above us with the hours listed (8-8). This was not stated in any emails or on the signage that was more prominent. So, I had to return. I returned the following day during my lunch break and received my order after waiting about seven minutes. The bags were tied and they handed them to me through the open window and I left. I brought the bags home that evening and I received one bag of taped up, slit open cookies. There were two gaping cuts that were not even covered. I was not pleased with this at all and called to let them know I would not accept them and expected an exchange. The woman on the phone asked if I wanted a refund or exchange and I explained I wanted the same cookies and read the name of them to her. She assured me that I would have the cookies waiting for me within the hour, but I told her I would not be coming until the following day after work. I went to pick up my cookies, returning the ones that were defective. I waited seven minutes after calling to have someone come and tell me that they did not have the exact type of cookies, but could substitute them or receive a refund. I did not want to wait for a refund, so I substituted them for a bag of cookies that would have cost me less. I had to wait another six minutes for them to bring them out to me. This experience wasted a lot of my time and gas and most were not even nice. (The one girl who came out to tell me that they did not have the cookie type in stock was nice and even apologetic, but she was the only one who had any customer service skills.) I was definitely NOT pleased with this. I do have a recommendation, for anyone living near Thomasville. I have used this service there several times and they are always polite - and even though they never messed up on my order, when they made substitutions that I had allowed, they used items that cost more for no extra cost. They are also super quick - I have never waited over five minutes there. So, not all Wal-Mart stores are bad. I have not had many good experiences with the Asheboro store and usually avoid it, if possible. I thought that the pick-up would be different, but obviously not. (In Asheboro, Lowes Foods To Go in Asheboro is awesome! They are fast, friendly, and almost always throw in a little something extra.) Bottom line: If you order pick up from the Asheboro Wal-Mart location, check your items BEFORE you leave.

It also has Books-A-Million, which has decent coffee and plenty of books and magazines. It's really the only place in Asheboro aside from the library with that many books. Those are about all the good things I can say about the mall these days. Randolph Mall would be a Great Place for a zombie movie, because frankly, there's nobody in it. Unfortunately, this place seems to be going out of business fast. I asked one shop owner after noticing all the closed stores and he said he was moving soon too because the mall not only refuses to lower his rent, but brings less and less clientele in every month or so. The Book Store, Department Stores, Cinema, and Chick-fil-A are really the only things Randolph Mall has anymore. I walked through it last week and it was just one big vacuity. Very depressing. The barista at the bookstore even seemed overwhelmed with 2 or 3 customers in line, so I just wondered off to scan titles. I remember when I was a kid and going to this mall was a real outing. On Halloween, the pet store, Family Pets', gave out free goldfish, and in Boy Scout's we'd race our Pinewood Derby cars in the food court. We would get phone calls weekly for the jewelry store there because it was one digit off of my parent's ground line. Now even that place is out of business. It's sad to see a dying Asheboro landmark, but I guess even the pyramids at Giza have graffiti. I hope they can get their act together and evolve with the times. Asheboro is a good-sized city, it is in a good location and you have plenty of empty stores- now the only thing you have to do is sell the retail spaces and pull people in.

They renovated this mall. It is now beautiful and lots of customers come now…read more The women's bathroom at Dunhams needs to be kept cleaned and needs renovating. The floor in Dunhams could be replaced. Belk's bathrooms need to be renovated also.

I found a wonderful hooded cardigan to help keep me toasty on the chilly fall evenings in NC and I found a dress and pj's for my grandson. They were quite busy- so there was a line at checkout, that's normal for any Ross location. Best places for me to find dresses!

Honestly, not a lot to see, but we did go to Ross. Both of us found several items we liked, and I decided against trying mine on. However, my guy wanted to try his on. The back dressing room was closed, and only two were available up front, where there was a line of four-five people waiting. When I got to the register where "Cassey" was working, I asked about the back dressing room, and she smuggly told me it was closed. Really? I had just left the area, so I kinda figured that out. I also inquired about the restrooms. Again, Cassey proudly announced they're locked. Really? I said this is a disservice to your customers. If I have to walk all the way to the register and ask Miss Cassey to find someone to unlock the door and stand for ten minutes waiting, only to have to walk back to the register and ask again, is nonsense!!! Ross - consider the handicap and the mother with 3 wailing babies or heaven forbids a senior who needs a restroom immediately. It was such an unpleasant experience at Ross and Cassey, you definitely need to be trained and have a little sensitivity for people who are waiting.
