The absolute best pharmacy. Everyone who works there is so helpful and nice. They always have my meds and are just wonderful at communication. When I went to self checkout an item that requires a birthdate to be inputted, I asked the cashier to ok it because I know that is the required procedure. He wasn't doing anything at the time and he came over and said I could enter my birthdate and immediately left. He was wrong because after I scanned my item, the system then asked for verification of my birthdate. By this time, the cashier was helping someone and he saw me waiting for help. I expected him to help me after he finished with the customer, but instead, he made me wait until he had checked out all the customers in line. Then he took a drink from his water bottle and came over without even apologizing for his mistake and for making me wait several minutes. read more

I see why they have a low rating. The manager is INCOMPETENT. I'm out of state so I had to do a little extra. Fine. I had to go to the ER and they prescribed 2 medications for my throat. So it hurts to swallow anything, haven't slept more than 2 hours for the past 3 nights. She filled out paperwork for 1 prescription instead of 2. WHY would she do that. I need 2, technically I need 3 but if they can't handle 2 that are emergencies why bother with extras. Why not just take care of me to get me out of here. I've called my insurance 9 times to confirm they sent what was needed. This pharmacy just says they didn't receive things. It's to many people back there to not be on point. They called her on 3 way and she acted like it was a problem to take the code that she needed to process my prescription since yesterday. Really had an attitude. I went to the ER yesterday morning and now have meds needed. A day after. My whole family complains that they have to come here. I didn't believe it. It's not like this on the west coast. YALL HAVE PEOPLES LIVES IN YOUR HANDS, WHEN IT COMES TO MEDICINE. DO BETTER. The manager there is a liar. She said she had to look through the faxed paperwork to get codes when I heard my insurance give it to her. So strange to have a manager position and play with peoples health. I just moved to this area and had one of the best CVS's where I lived. Going to the Aston CVS has been a nightmare. This store is probably the worst CVS I have ever experienced. Going to the pharmacy has been a nightmare they are slow and incompetent. The pharmacist will never do an override with the insurance and just let people runout of medicine. It would be nice to get a phone call about a medicine that was denied by the pharmacy but never once did they contacted me. I ended up switching to the Rite Aid down the street and couldn't be happier read more

There's always an issue with getting refills from the doctor, sometimes getting notified of refills and oftentimes not. I'd say 7 out 10 time the pharmacy person on the phone is rude, not willing to do one step further and rushes me off the phone. I've experienced more help and courtesy at the window. I miss living closer to the Media CVS, never had a problem with them. read more

I wish there was a negative star for this place . Once again they were even rude to the nurse at children's hospital . My daughter has a lung disease and is on timed medicine that she needs to be able to breath . They wait until the last possible day and then say they're busy . The last 4 times I've been here to pick up prescriptions for my kids, they haven't been ready. Doctors office had called things in hours before and still not ready. They allow you to wait but have no chairs because they reserve them for vaccination patients. Just overall extremely inconvenient read more

Like a previous reviewer I came in with my 25 % off coupon. It's in a location in Aston where you can hit all the stores on your list in one long line so CVS was a stop. Snagged deals on personal care products and Makeup for my daughter at college. As Karen F mentioned the staff are helpful. A nice younger man checked me out today and he was awesome as well as personable. When I checked out I got another $4 off total bill coupon so back to shop i went. May not be a lot because I only shop for 2 but I saved $21 today. That's enough for takeout dinner some night soon. read more

A passport photo has strict requirements. For example, the length of the face can be no longer than 1.375 inches. Because I thought it would be easy and quick, I came here to get the job done. I enjoyed my interaction with the staff members, but after I got home I discovered the length of my face was 1.625 inches. That wasn't going to work. I went back there. They took my photo again. The new photo has some slight shadowing, which is not allowed. The images were also not quite centered, which is another requirement. Hopefully the passport processor who handles my renewal will be in a good mood. Fingers crossed. In conclusion: the bottom line is you cannot trust them to produce a photo that meets the exact U.S. passport photo requirements. You have to verify they are doing the job the right way. read more

I am finally quitting on the CVS at 5020 Pennell Rd, Aston (next to Urgent Care). The hours that the pharmacy is open are lousy. Also, they close at lunch time DAILY - the time when most of us can run out to pick up our scripts. They spend 10 minutes searching through multiple bins for your scripts EVERY TIME. Are the bins random? There has got to be a better way. I almost always run into a problem. Today, I went to pick up a script. I called in advance and got the recording that it was available until May 24. The counter person looked for it. Not there. Then told me that the prescriber's license had run out and I would have to get another doc to write my script. I am like....why didn't anyone call me? I got the message that it was here, so I came to get it. So, after I left, I called to find out the prescriber's name (there are several providers at the same office). I get the message that my script is ready for me to pick up. I stayed on the line to speak to a person. 10 minute wait ???. Person answers. I could barely hear the person and they were NOT personable. Don't go to work if you can't be personable. I asked to speak to someone in charge. I am assuming it was the pharmacist - who was personable, but cannot give me a reason as to why no one called me when I called in the script and why no one called me when the problem was fixed. This was my last experience with this place. Wish me luck with my next CVS. read more

This is by far the worst CVS ever. Utterly bad customer service. Ridiculously long waits. No courtesy to return calls or help with prescription refills. Stupidest updates around hours of operation. I wish I can give zero stars. read more

Another one of my go-to CVS's... It's in a good location for me and they typically have what I need... Like Karen F. said, there really is usually only one person at the counter, which can get kind of annoying if there's a line. Cause you know there are other cashiers somewhere on the premises... But overall - not a bad place to stop and pick up a few things. read more

Upgrading to 4 stars based on FANTASTIC Customer service by both the pharmacist/pharmacy tech (lady in the back) and the nice young lad out front. DD & I came here with a 25% EVERYTHING in the store (excluding sale items - which excluded alot) and literally took a cart (a CART - sho does tha?) and loaded up with Advil, Vitamins, Hair dye, Cosmetics, Cleaning products, all sorts of stuff. We snagged a great deal. And the 2 aforementioned CVS staffers helped us find it all. And the nice young lad up front even processed a return of one item a few hours later when I realized I bought something we didn't need. Wow. My mid is changed on this location. Just moved around here a month ago, and trying to get use to the new area. My other CVS was 24 hrs. so it made for a lesser wait times for just about anything you went for. Maybe its me but it seems the pharmacy techs are very stressed out and seem rushed all the time. Just being new I don't know if this is normal for this store or just this time of year ? Went to get Coricidin HPB, 20 tablets. The display said $6.99, which I thought was a little high. I went to the front counter and it rang up at $9.99. I explained to the clerk that it was listed at $6.99 on the shelf, but she acted like she couldn't do anything about it. Maybe she thought I was lying. I didn't buy it but instead went to the Aston Giant (2 minutes away) and bought it for $6.29! So word to the wise about their pricing system. read more

I can't believe I am even taking my time to write a review about a pharmacy but I'v been burned by this place so many times. Every time I come here what should be a two minute trip ends up taking 20 minutes because of the incompetence of the pharmacy staff. I get that the area is super populated and there are lots of perscriptions to be filled, but the staff are usually not very friendly and always tooling around instead of assisting customers. I have brought perscriptions there to be filled and come to pick them up and they will ell me they never filled it because it was out of stock. They never even bother calling me to tell me so I end up driving there only to find out that they don't have what I need. Also, their paper receipts are excessively long. I don't want any of your dumb catalinas on the back of the receipt. The receipts are so long that I could wrap them around the world twice. Such a waste of paper, and thus the world's precious resources. This CVS is a no go. read more

very friendly people. the pharmacy is awesome and helped me with an issue i was having with insurance. the older male pharmacist was extremely nice and took care of me until the issue was fixed. the blond at the register was wonderful and was easy on the eyes. she reminded me to use my cvs card which at other stores do not and i miss out on rewards. the front store staff was very courteous also. the young girl on the register wrote me rainchecks that i asked for on items that were out of stock and made sure i knew how they worked. if you ask where an item is 9/10 times they will walk you to it which is very appreciated. i shop here all the time now and love seeing the employees that are there regularly. awesome store, great prices, fast service. read more
