Not a fan of the pharmacy here... I wish it were better since it is so close to home (cry). However, I do like to come here to pick up certain things that I might need in the middle of the night, since it is open 24 hours (unlike the other CVS down the road on wisconsin). They also have random items... need a screwdriver? Or a coaxial cable? It's late at night and you really need it? Lol, this is the place! Parking is usually pretty good so while I would not come here for prescriptions, definitely keep this place in mind when you need a quick fix for something (esp late at night)! read more

Excellent service. The manager helped me personally- I was trying to use a coupon with a significant deduction and the self checkout was not accepting the coupon. He accepted the coupon and got me in and out very quickly. read more

Last night I made an appointment for a routine health care procedure at the Minute Clinic in this CVS pharmacy. The appointment was for 11:20 am, and as requested I arrived about 20 minutes early so I could check in properly. I was finally seen at about 12:27--over an hour late. The nurse-practitioner began the administrative work of asking for my insurance, medical history, and medications following the script on her computer. The process was so slow that I told her I was becoming "very grumpy" about the long wait despite my appointment and about the slowness of the administrative process. Finally I said that it would be better simply to cancel the entire transaction. I wasted a total of two hours by the time I left this CVS. It is unlikely that I will ever go back to a Minute Clinic at a CVS pharmacy. read more

I have consistently had bad experience with this store. I wish the corporate CVS office in Maryland or Montgomery County officials could do something about its fraudulent practices. The store consistently misleads customers about product prices. Almost on every visit, I end up paying more for my purchases than the store made me believe I would with the price information displayed. A common scenario is that a product is displayed a full price on the shelf and there is no sales or clearance tag associated with it, but when you actually buy it at the register, it does not take a discount coupon for full-priced products and you end up paying a full price. This is wrong advertising, and this is outrageous. When you ask to clarify this, the man who is referred to as "manager" by the store's staff, F....d, appears and declares that the product is on sale, or on clearance, or has been "displaced," etc. When he says the product is on sale and you point it out to him that there is no sales information on the shelf (and he sees it with his own eyes on the shelf), he takes the product to the price check machine and shows you triumphantly that the sales price is indicated there. I'd like to remind F...d that customers must be able to inform themselves about a product's price where it is displayed, and the store is not absolved from the responsibility to indicate product prices correctly on the shelf. The last time I was in this situation, the "manager" didn't even care to apologize. With this kind of attitude, the store leaves a bad impression and never fails to spoil the mood, even though the cashier staff are nice. read more

Horrible customer service. Last visit to this store. Checked inventory online before driving there for an OTC natural allergy and sinus nasal spray, it showed available. They didn't have it - I went to the pharmacist who told me to just use Afrin. These two medications could not be more different, one is an all natural rinse and the other is an addictive decongestant. A pharmacist should know this, then I asked them to do an inventory check and they could not. Then I went to ask a manager to inventory check CVS before I go to another one, couldn't get anyone to help me. Cashier ignored like she didn't hear twice. All I said was "excuse me, can you point me to a manager". Waste of my time and I drove there because it showed in inventory. read more

While the pharmacy department is nice, it is not efficient at all. I gave them my prescription and insurance card on a Thursday. Friday they called me to say that they'd have my prescription ready in the next few hours. A few hours later, they called to say they didn't have any of the medicine in stock and would have my prescription ready on Monday. Monday after work, I wait in line with the rest of the customers picking up their prescription after work. My prescription isn't ready, but they're going to expedite it. I wait for about 30 minutes, quietly reading my book. A lady also waiting for about as long gets up and tells them she's been waiting a while and if they'd check if her prescription is ready. Lo and behold it is; no one bothered to announce it though. She would still be waiting there if she didn't ask them to look. So I also stand up, thinking mine has also been filled, but no one bothered to tell me. I'm not so lucky; the pharmacists has just started the process of calling my insurance company, and they're not answering. So not only have I waited 4 days for my prescription, I also won't be able to get them before Thanksgiving travel. To continue my rant, of the twenty or so customers who went to pick up their prescriptions, less than half walked away without any issues. Everyone else was basically told that they did something wrong. If more than half of your customers were told that prescriptions were ready, and they're not, that's CVS's issue, not the customers. I will not be getting any prescription ever filled at this CVS again. The competitors in the area are much more efficient and customer-service friendly. read more

I've been using this CVS since it opened, well over ten years. I would say they generally have really good service. They get busy now and then, and there have been a few mixups, but there have been even more times when someone went out of their way to make things right or alerted me if something needs attention. I often use the drive up pharmacy window and there is almost never a wait. I'm almost always helped in just a couple of minutes. Nice job, CVS - four + stars. read more

Pharmacists here are AWFUL. Rude, horrible customer service. I asked for Allegra D 24-hour, she brings be back the generic. I told her I wanted brand name and she brings me a box of 5 without even asking how many I wanted. When I tell her I want the 10 or 15-ct box, she starts huffing around like I've greatly inconvenienced her. Then their computer system wouldn't read my coupon. When I objected to her ringing it up without it, instead of just apologizing and typing in a discount (which I know they have the ability to do), she calls over her manager instead of dealing with it herself. The manager was equally rude and unable to provide basic customer service. I will never go to this branch of CVS again. read more

The staff are quite rude and take a lot longer than seems necessary. If you can, go somewhere else.

This is one of my FAVORITE CVS branches around! The staff is always super friendly and they always have the make-up I want (and I normally get extra bucks with my purchases, too!). I live in Germantown and used to frequent a CVS closer to my house, but since starting a new job in Bethesda in May of 2016, this became my go-to for all of my needs. It is fully stocked, and if something is ever not available, I can always ask a staff member and they normally can retrieve it from the back for me. They really do go above and beyond! The Manager, Ludwin, is also very friendly and seems to be a hands on kind of manager, as I always see him working hard on the floor. Overall, I am impressed and will be coming here, instead of my other previous location. :) read more

Terribly rude. Ignored me as I stood at the counter for 5 minutes, and then when I went to pick up my meds, they were slow, and disorganized. I'm talking prescription bags on the floor. Do you want your prescriptions on the floor? I don't. Will take my business elsewhere. read more

Terrible experience. The young woman at the pharmacy counter would not take my health insurance card because it wasn't a "prescription card". Her very helpful suggestions? Call my insurance company or pay the full amount. I did call my insurance company and they straightened things with her over the phone quick. I didn't need a "prescription card", just someone at this pharmacy who knew her job. Avoid this costumer service black hole. read more

I'm another in what is evidently a long line of people who have received unconscionably bad service at the pharmacy. I went to pick up some sudafed and the system connecting to the DEA was 'down' so I went away empty handed. Now that isn't necessarily their fault, but an employee who wasn't even helping me made an unbelievably rude comment that completely disregarded the value of my time and frankly insulted me. Reading through the other posts here, I guess I'm not surprised, but add one more to the list. Stay away from this pharmacy if you can. read more

A contact who works in a doctor's office near this CVS tried subtly to warn me off taking my prescription here and I ignored her. My mistake! The pharmacy section has real problems. Maybe it's partly over-crowding because the good parking and convenient location attract a lot of customers -- one senses that, at least at peak hours, the staff never quite manage to catch up. Certainly when I was there a significant proportion of the patients seemed openly frustrated with the delays and/or lack of problem-solving assistance, while the staff appeared overwhelmed and unable to address issues or deal with patients with the consideration one would have hoped for. If you have an alternative CVS branch within reach, I'd say go there instead. read more
