Especially Tazita who is rude, condescending and borderline irrational when speaking with customers - the pharmacy never answers and requests you leave a voicemail, Tazita calls me w/o every listening to my voicemail requiring me to set all my belonging down in the front yard on my way into the house to read her the RX # after digging in my purse for the bottle despite me clearly stating th RX # twice in the voicemail I was made to leave while my kids are screaming...no apology, rude, condescending and irrational when asked simple questions (like answers had nothing to do with myquestions). This pharmacy has never failed me and that have always delivered my monthly prescription on time. I've been coming here for a very long time when I'm in the DC area. When I'm out of the country, I have always been able to count on the pharmacy team to mail my prescription to me, and it's always come through. The pharmacies that I had dealt with in the past haven't always been so consistent, which is why I switched to this one. They also have a couple of the products that I like, such as the Star ucks cold brew coffee and Red Bull orange flavor. This CVS pharmacy gets it right and I appreciate them. read more

I have found some of the pharmacy staff here to be pretty unhelpful, and, in one case, rude. Today, I got in line to pick up prescriptions at 1:30pm, and the woman behind the desk looked at me, and said "you know, we're closing right?" When I asked if I could pick up my prescription she replied "we're already closed." And put down the grate. Not even remotely apologetic. What the heck kind of pharmacy closes for half an hour in the middle of the day, and why be rude about it?! read more

I visited the minute clinic as I was feeling horrible the past few days. Priscilla made my uncomfortable experience of going to see the doctor pleasant. So I feel kinda silly that I didn't just check GoodRx for better places to shop for prescriptions but I did and realized this store charges three times the amount anywhere else. So for the sake of my nerves , I'll go elsewhere. That aside, the customer service here should be studied. I can't imagine how people who work in health care can be rude to customers who are trying to FILL HEALTH PRESCRIPTIONS. It's almost as though you're in their way when you're there. On the whole, it is a good store: responsive manager, well stocked, well lighted, and clean. The Minut Clinic is excellent and convenient. However, the service in the rest of the store is terrible. Today, the store was not busy but I had to ring six times with long intervals between to get someone to open a locked cabinet. While I was waiting, two other customers rang the same bell , so together we rang eight times. Then I had to wait in the checkout line while two male cashiers flirted with a woman and helped her decide which of her photographs was the best. I finally threw my purchases on the counter and made to leave. Only then did the man in charge tell the other guy to serve me. This is nothing new at this store--the counter crew is simply incapable of checking out quickly. I do not know if they have been told to be chatty or if they are just slow and stupid, but I get asked all sorts of unnecessary questions. Sometimes, I get told to go to the self checkout machines. I refuse to do so because those machines rob human beings of a job, salary, and health insurance. Because the pharmacy is good, or at least has chairs to sit in while you wait and wait and wait, and is better than pharmacies at other nearby CVS locations, so I put up with the lack of professionalism by the checkout staff at the front of the store. read more

The worst CVS I have every visited (3 times). First time received the wrong drug, second time gave me someone else's medication, third time billed an insurance that's not mine... Finally I went into the pharmacy (on the third visit I was in the drive thru) and told by the pharmacist in charge, "mistakes happen, we try and learn from them." REALLY?? I merely wanted ti ask a question about the types of Sudafed products and there were 4 people working there but 8 people in line to pickup prescriptions each seemingly taking 5+ minutes and I didn't think i should have to wait 40 minutes to talk about a non-prescription item. So amazing a sanctuary for all lovers of anything beautiful. The store had plenty of open and ready self check outs. There was also a wide selection of notebooks, pens, and aquifer all to make myself feel as if I am glowing. I chose to shop here with no regrets. If you need a good pen and paper, or if you like your hands to feel smooth this CVS is my go to. :) also I adore the round up donation. Very dissatisfied with both the pharmacy and minute clinic. They provide drive thru service for the pharmacy, however, I've waited several minutes and have even had to bang on the window before someone came to assist. I've also been turned away while waiting in line inside because the clock struck 1:30pm and it was time for their lunch break. It's like they've never heard of staggered breaks? Separately, I scheduled a test with the minute clinic. When I arrived, it actually ended up being just a discussion with the doctor, and I had to make a separate appointment with the lab for the actual testing...not sure what the initial appointment was even for. I was given basically zero guidance on how to proceed in making the subsequent appointment. Communication was very poor. After I had the labs done, CVS has basically held my results hostage. They are unable to set up my health dashboard online, so I'm unable to see my results. It is also IMPOSSIBLE to reach the minute clinic at this location, even when trying to return their call. read more

CVS has changed their system and it is not operating well at If you have prescriptions at CVS, then you can not rely on their phone system. If you call For a status on your prescription their automated system is highly highly unreliable. The system will tell you your prescription is ready then when you go to pick it up it is often not ready. In addition it is now impossible to even contact them via telephone. I have tried contacting them via phone and it was impossible on numerous occasions to get through to them. I have spent over an hour several times. It was not unusual to be hung up. The only way to get thru to them is by stopping by personally. Sadly, 2 years has gone by and nothing has improved. They are understaffed, and the management and overall system is deeply flawed. read more

I would give this pharmacy ZERO stars if that were an option. I tried using this pharmacy for at least 2 to 3 years and it is the absolutely WORST. AVOID this pharmacy. Every time I went back because that was the pharmacy my doctors had on file, I regretted it. Every time I went there was an issue. The staff and the pharmacists are disorganized and incompetent. When they screw things up, there is no customer service and they never apologize for their mistakes. They have lost prescriptions I prepaid for and the prescriptions are never ready even when the app says they are ready for pick up. I have transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy and will never go back. They are the WORST. read more

Although this CVS didn't offer the specific hair products I was seeking, the customer service from the employees was on a high mark. Of course, you can't go wrong with massive sales through out so I didn't waste a trip, the Extra Care App makes it easy to see what coupons are available. The Manager Idon, was stocking inventory & peeked over to offer assistance, as with Shaidia, at the Self Check Out, who was pleasantly waiting to lend a hand. Awful awful, awful pharmacy. Avoid at all costs! Refusal to look for a presciption faxed by my doctor that they "cannot see in the system" but that my doctor did send to them the day before (and I showed them the copy olf the prescription, fax and sent receipt), asks that the doctor resend his prescription which he did this morning, so I would get the prescriptions before my departure on a long trip today to Asia. Rush back to the pharmacy, arrive at 1.29 pm, a client is in front of me, 1.32 when I get to the counter, " sorry we are closed now from 1.30 to 2 pm announces the head pharmacist, and closes the curtain , so I do not end up gettiong my medicine despite m y pleading to allow 3 minutes off her lunch break so I would leave with the medication on this 2 month trip. Awful attitude, a prison guard in an artic prison in Russia would probably handle the situation better and with more courtesy. Customers, run, run away from that CVS, and find yourself another pharmacy! There is no reason such attitude should be tolerated by CVS management, and as long as this is the case in CVS sangamore, chose another pharmacy, it will be less stressful. read more

Completely understaffed but also the pharmacist often doens't know answers to important questions (e.g. does this medicine contain something I'm allergic to) and offers to call me rather than deal with it in person to get me to go away but never has or makes up wrong information because he's lazy (e.g. told me my prescriptions don't appear on the app for the last year because the app must be down, despite the app clearly showing my daughter's prescriptions and being up)... again offers to call me back since he doesn't want to deal with it, but never does. the lines are so bad that we've had to switch pharmacies as it takes hours to pick up a prescription. read more

When I went to pick my prescription, which had been phoned in five hours before by my doctor, they could not find it and kept bouncing me from line to line. Seriously the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Frequently doesn't have my medication in stock and tries to give me a different generic despite my doctor saying I need to have the specific medication, lines are often long because they don't staff the pickup line well, takes at least half an hour to answer the phone, they've lost my prescription at least once, and claimed I've picked it up when I didn't another time. I don't understand what their system is but it clearly doesn't work. It's the closest pharmacy to me, but after spending nearly an hour on hold today trying to get an answer of where my medication is, might be time for me to find another one. I'd rather travel a very long distance than deal with this ever again. read more

35 mins I waited in a three car deep drive thru. The tiny parking lot was full and after driving around for 5 mins I decided to get into the drive through to pick up my prescription. I've been a customer at this CVS pharmacy for 6 months. I've never written a review about a pharmacy before, but this pharmacy in particular has service that is incredibly abysmal, rude, and slow. One lady is consistently demeaning and condescending towards customers picking up their prescriptions, and she is especially impatient and confrontational with customers. I completely understand that talking with customers is a difficult job, but this dismissive and aggressive attitude is so inappropriate and unacceptable. I find it hard to believe that it is so difficult to speak to a customer with the bare minimum of courtesy and respect. I have filed a complaint with CVS and hope this pharmacist will be talked to about her attitude, and in the meantime I will be using a different CVS pharmacy branch (since although this pharmacist is by far the worst-behaving employee, the service here in general is slow and impolite). read more

Pharmacy department is friendly in person but with anonymity some of them are known to not meet customer service standards. When there was a clear disconnect between the pharmacy and my prescribing physician, they couldn't be bothered to let me know what was going on. They've doled out the wrong number of pills, rung up prescriptions wrong, and I've even seen them issue the wrong medicines at the pick-up window. I'm usually understanding about factoring in human error but the rate of occurrence seems seriously out of whack. If not for the Filipino pharmacist who is always super friendly and professional, I'd probably be rounding down to one star. Conservatively sized parking lot. Staff members often hover around the self-checkout stations. Both the OTC pharmacy and cosmetics/beauty sections seem less well-stocked than at other CVSes. Honestly the fact that it's a 24-hour pit stop is the only other thing I can praise; if I had a closer pharmacy alternative I'd be using it. =============== Fall 2012 update: Grocery aisle sales go fast. Beauty section now carrying Essie and Orly polishes, plus a limited few OPIs. I try to come during evenings to pick up scrips since I've only had positive experiences with like three of the pharm staff. I am a health care provider and formerly worked at the executive level at the FDA. I am appalled at the service and disservice provided by this pharmacy. My doctor called in an order and I went in the next day to pick up the med. There was no record of her having called. I checked the phone number she called and it was correct. So she called back and spoke with the pharmacist who said I would get a call when the medication was ready for pickup. That was 5 days ago and I never got a call. That's the poor service part of this review. Now for the disservice that this pharmacy provides to our community. While I was at the pharmacy during my visit, the clerk behind the counter had her mask pulled down below her nose. And then someone who works at that pharmacy passes within two feet of me on his way back to the pharmacy. I asked him if he could give me six feet of space and he responded that there was no room between me and the aisle in back of me. I asked him why he didn't use a different aisle with no one in it to get back to the pharmacy. He said that was a good idea and he would do so the next time. Are you kidding me? Two people who work at a pharmacy not abiding by County COVID protocol? It's impossible to get the County health department on the phone, although I will keep trying, but they need to pay this place a visit. I'll never step inside that store again.
