Sadly, most everything has gotten much worse in the past couple of years. I don't know why. Now there seems to be a problem every time I need a refill. The staff doesn't seem to communicate well with each other; I'll be texted something is out of stock and then be told it was filled the previous day. On one occasion I tried to refill my contact lens solution. It took two months of confusing back-and-forth of texts! They haven't been sending out meds when promised or send the wrong thing. They have been EXTRAORDINARILY patient with me and my AR balance; I'm low income and appreciated that. However they didn't give me an early warning about how high it had gotten, and then they confronted me about it in front of my mother with no regard to privacy. The man there (manager ?) has offered several times to go back through the charges and see if any can be reduced, but he hasn't yet. I would have changed pharmacies by now, except I'm moving soon so it's not worth it. I don't doubt that the staff and mgmt here cares about their patients and want to do right by them. I imagine things are falling apart on a communications level. No one has the time to follow up multiple times on every prescription , though, and their best intentions are clearly being drowned out by serious communication fails.

This really wonderful guy named James Pate runs what he calls a cost plus pharmacy. He looks up the actual cost of the prescription medicine and add $12 for his profit and that's it. That's all you pay. I realized that I have probably paid tens of thousands of dollars extra to Wallgreens Kroger's and CVS over the years. I could have kept that money. The last prescription I filled saved me about $150. I like my old pharmacies that I have used but I decided I could just take the $150 and give it to them if I was really that worried about it. I decided to keep the money for myself and take all my future business to Fairway pharmacy. No wonder those places have such fancy buildings, I've helped buy them. He doesn't take insurance and so this plan isn't for everybody, but if you're paying for your medicine, I recommend that you keep your dollars and let someone else line the pockets of the big guys.

Didn't really talk to any employees and the cashier was friendly enough. The only criticism I have is the disabled parking spots are on the far east end of the lot. That's completely away from everything and a long walk. The produce is on the far opposite end. Whoever designed the parking lot wasn't too bright. It was clean and well maintained, I have to give them that. There are random spots in the main parking area but few and occupied by people without placards or tags. I will come back here. A final thought, since it's not Roanoke city, they do not charge for plastic shopping bags.

I haven't had issues with her prescriptions, but I do have issues with the billing. Living a very busy life I don't have much time for paperwork and out of date payment options. Especially snail mail. Basically everything I pay is an ACH paid directly out of my checking account, or in this case, my mother's checking account. Everything else that comes in that is not a scheduled payment , like Dr bills, I pay on-line in the evening after work. I can't do that with this company. I have to write a check find a stamp get it to the mailbox (down the street) and mail it, knowing it takes a week or two to get to it's destination. Keep in mind it took almost two weeks to get the bill in the mail after they mailed it to me. So, it's going to be paid late every month. I don't like that. Please hire someone to create a website for your business and take payments online. Please make it convenient to give us the ability to pay on time. I know I can pay over the phone but you're closed when I have time to sit down to pay bills.

They've always been very kind to me. Also they double up as somewhat of an antique store selling things from greeting cards to little trinkets.
