I had the worst experience today with the cashier in the front of the store. She was rude and disrespectful to me. I was buying a valentine card and the price was very expensive, so I asked my son if he still wanted it and before I could tell her Yes she throw it in a box behind her, and I said to her "I want the card you did not give me chance to say yes or no". She said " I'm sorry , but it's not that serious". She left my mouth open. Updated: May 2024. If I could remove the previous one star, I would. Recently, my doctor had to question the staff's reading competency as they received a prescription that was back-ordered and instead of calling to inform us of this, they just did not engage with the request at all. Very trite, defensive, and unaccountable response to the doctor's office is a reminder of why we left this pharmacy in the first place. Also, there is a fairly new pharmacist/staff member who is very rude, dismissive, and overall off-putting. She does not necessarily reflect the majority demographic of the neighborhood and this is important given her demeanor, attitude, and lack of cultural responsiveness is of concern. Overall, the staff is pretty nice and though I have seen improvements in the overall efficiency of the store, the pharmacy has a long way to go---it is unethical to have information regarding back ordered medication and not inform the patient. We have since transferred our medication to the Walgreens nearby. Original Review: 2021 CVS management and headquarters needs to address it's lack of training and professionalism among their pharmacy staff, Not only does their lack of training impact customer confidentiality, it sets a very low precedent for customer service at CVS. I have picked up my mother's medication at this pharmacy for over 10 years. On January 15th, 2021 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and noon, an incident occurred where two female staff members, one Latina and one Black-American woman violated and disrespected my mother because the Latina staff member was clearly incapable of inputting the information provided into the system. My mother had to restate her name and date of birth not once but twice. If that was not enough, another staff member, the Black-American staff member had to guide her through the menial task of simply searching for the prescription that my mother was called to pick up. The Latina staff member flung the medication onto the counter and appeared confident in her poor treatment of a senior woman. I am disgusted with quality of service provided by this pharmacy. So much so, that I had all of medications sent to capsule. I would advise against reinforcing CVS's lack of commitment to provide its customers with consistent, quality service--especially during these trying times. I will NEVER use this pharmacy again and will take steps required to have my mother's prescriptions filled elsewhere. Unfortunately for the other staff members in the pharmacy section, the odor of poor customer service provided by their peers reeks and casts a negative light on all the pharmacy staff there. Went to buy a few household items and immediately found everything I was looking for. The store is very clean and fully stocked on everything you need. An employee by the name of Barbara helped me out at the register. She was so kind and made sure I used any and all available coupons I had. She noticed that I am a Carepass member and informed me that every month I can get a free item from the beauty section. She was extremely welcoming and informative and I look forward to my next visit! read more

Horrible photo place. They printed my pictures 3 times and still were either missing some or half were just cut off. The cashier even tried to charge me luckily I had a receipt that my prints were paid for and I didn't have to pay for their 50+copies. I was a college student so I usually look for notebooks but their selection was old, yellow and dusty and they are never fully stocked. One plus is that Their makeup selection is a bit better than rite aid. Pretty much whatever one store doesn't have the other will. Literally the worst pharmacy should be closed down or hire more helpful staff. This is my zone pharmacy and I always have to travel to another cvs because this one either no help or refuse to do something that they are capable of doing. Whenever I go to any other pharmacy the staff is great this location is lazy , not helpful and full of shit! I really hate going to this pharmacy but all my son prescriptions go here. read more

I had an assignment out here, and believe me, it was way the hell out-- don't let that stately address fool you-- the subway ride was so long I thought I might be in Europe-- but no, I guess it's still Brooklyn. Brooklyn is really big, it's like the whole world... you know before they had round globes and google maps and GPS's, this was what the world was like. You get to the edge of Brooklyn and you fall off the side of the Earth. Subway to the end of the line-- then I had to walk another 45 minutes-- I felt like I should have Sherpas. Everyone is driving, except me and millions of grade school kids-- but anyone whose legs are long enough to reach the gas pedals are driving. Anyway, after this tense interview in a remote military bunker type of compound, it was too awkward to ask to use the bathroom, so a started back toward the train. The only bastion of non-chainstore civilization I had noticed, the Galaxy Diner, was boarded up and surrounded by trash and broken glass. No way the bladder was going to hold out 'til Manhattan and the office. So I tried my luck at this CVS. Now, I won't even patronize the CVS near my office since they replaced the check out people with a robotic self-service checkout system. So... five stars? These five stars are based on human interaction. I asked if there was a bathroom, and this woman who was working had to stop what she was doing and lead me to the back storeroom, and then point out the bathroom to me. Then she had to wait there while I went-- I mean, I was in a little bathroom with a door, there was privacy-- but she had to wait in the stockroom. I guess they can't just let you wander around alone in there and fill up your backpack with Percocet and Red Bulls. So... what a five star relief! Then I purchased an electrolyte replacing drink for my long trek back to the MTA lifeline. I don't know, I hate how all the giant chain drugstores have muscled out the local and independently owned ones-- they tear them down and build crap buildings in their place. Really, it would not surprise me to see, in my lifetime, the Statue of Liberty replaced by a Walgreens. But a drugstore is not just a corporation, it's also the people who work there. I hope that people realize how magnatudinous one seemingly small act of kindness can be. A brief smile to a stranger on the street might be the only thing keeping that person from "going postal" on that given day. People feel like they're powerless, but there really is great influence in these small gestures. read more

My grandmother accidentally threw out her test strips and because it was an emergency I called the CVS Pharmacy to ask if they could hand me one. I know that usually pharmacies would be able to give you one test strip if it is really needed, but instead I was told I would have to buy a whole box. As a place who is by so many elderly folk I would expect them to understand. Instead they care more about their money than their customers. And as a customer who has been going there for a very long time I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I have been doing business here for several years and it is normally a positive experience. The store is always clean and staff is courteous. Unfortunately, a huge issue arose last week. I had contracted bronchitis with asthmatic complications and had to be taken to the emergency room. When I was released it was too late to pick up my meds. The next day I called to find out the cost so that my son could pick up this much needed medication and was told they did not have it. I was then told I could check the KingsHighway location. When I asked for the number I was told she did not have it. Upon checking google I discovered 4 different Kings Highway locations all completely out of my neighborhood. Fortunately I remembered Target, called and was able to find my meds there where my son was able to get for me. If this is policy, it needs to be changed. It should never be so complicated to retrieve life sustaining medications. read more

Very pricey if you go into the cvs in other neighborhoods the price for items are much cheaper than at the rite aid and cvs in this area
