Very trite, defensive, and unaccountable response to the doctor's office is a reminder of why we left this pharmacy in the first place. Also, there is a fairly new pharmacist/staff member who is very rude, dismissive, and overall off-putting. She does not necessarily reflect the majority demographic of the neighborhood and this is important given her demeanor, attitude, and lack of cultural responsiveness is of concern. Overall, the staff is pretty nice and though I have seen improvements in the overall efficiency of the store, the pharmacy has a long way to go---it is unethical to have information regarding back ordered medication and not inform the patient. We have since transferred our medication to the Walgreens nearby. Original Review: 2021 CVS management and headquarters needs to address it's lack of training and professionalism among their pharmacy staff, Not only does their lack of training impact customer confidentiality, it sets a very low precedent for customer service at CVS. I have picked up my mother's medication at this pharmacy for over 10 years. On January 15th, 2021 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and noon, an incident occurred where two female staff members, one Latina and one Black-American woman violated and disrespected my mother because the Latina staff member was clearly incapable of inputting the information provided into the system. My mother had to restate her name and date of birth not once but twice. If that was not enough, another staff member, the Black-American staff member had to guide her through the menial task of simply searching for the prescription that my mother was called to pick up. The Latina staff member flung the medication onto the counter and appeared confident in her poor treatment of a senior woman. I am disgusted with quality of service provided by this pharmacy. So much so, that I had all of medications sent to capsule. I would advise against reinforcing CVS's lack of commitment to provide its customers with consistent, quality service--especially during these trying times. I will NEVER use this pharmacy again and will take steps required to have my mother's prescriptions filled elsewhere. Unfortunately for the other staff members in the pharmacy section, the odor of poor customer service provided by their peers reeks and casts a negative light on all the pharmacy staff there. I am Disgusted.
