I needed assistance with a locked sunblock and having a time to chat with him it touched me so deeply. Adrain is the perfect example of what my small business aspires to hire.. Very unpleasant and rude staff, negative energy. Sales people names were Alma and Dulce. I go to CVS for ages and this is was the worst experience I ever had. Customer service is at the level of a third world country! They talked to me like I came to their home, woke them up and annoying them! This store is close to the popular tourist attraction and the one would think they would want to put decent employees there to support the brand"s reputation. They don't have any shopping carts or even baskets and you will have to carry everything you picked up. I tried to return a brand new item that I bought a few days ago and I had my receipt but they refused to return it.They said I have to go to the store where I bought it. I shop at CVS all the time and I never had this issue before. They don't care about their customers and just want to get rid of them. They yelled at me that the store is closing when I tried to buy some water at 9:52pm- 8 minutes before the closure! Associate Dulce talks to customers like she was trained in jail I will never go to this location again. I don't recommend this place. read more

The customer service was very terrible. Both cashiers man and woman that I met on Wednesday morning were very unprofessional, unkind, and rude. It was an really bad experience. They need to learn what kind of attitude they need for customer as cvs employee. Please educate CVS cashiers about the attitude for customer. They never say "sorry" for uncomfortable situation. Called them and waited on the phone for 33 minutes before I gave up and hung up. I had my prescriptions moved to a different location cause no one answers the phone here. Went through the drive through and sat in rhe same exact spot for 20 minutes before I moved. This is the slowest pharmacy ever!! read more

Horrific pharmacy, pharmacy tech Renee claimed they couldn't find my insurance and argued that I have no coverage, after calling my insurance company myself they magically found coverage. Both the pharmacists and the techs are combative and non helpful, not to mention after I spent over an hour going back and forth with these people over a simple prescription, I get home and realize they've given me the incorrect inhaler, so now I'm back here again, for another 20 minutes while I get told it's the same thing . It's not, I had to physically stop the pharmacist from arguing with me and have her read the prescription from my doctors office. She finally realizes she provided the wrong inhaler.... read more

This is the worst CVS i have even been. They call themself a access point for UPS but they have been returning all my package as they are refusing to accept it. If you cannot accept the package, why are running the the access point. The lady there who calls herself a manager is worst. She has the worst attitude. It's great that this location is right next to a gas station, a block or so away from Knott's Berry Farm amusement park. I often find great deals on vitamin supplements here: some buy one and get 50% off a second same sized or value item. You can also use a reward card that have savings that add up- today I had $10 off the entire bill plus an arms length of more coupons to use in the next week or so. I also look for deals on chocolate: I got half off a large bag of Dove chocolate when buying two bags of the same price: I got one milk chocolate and the second a bag of dark chocolate mixed with dark chocolate plus sea salt caramel ones. Plenty of parking, plus a drive through pharmacy service. Remember to use your Healthcare savings account if you have one! This pharmacy site also offers vaccinations by appointment. You can also find last minute purchases like clothing or gift items and gift card options. I used the self checkout method today. read more

Came in to buy some quick floaties. Associate behind the counter for some odd reason wouldn't check me out and instead insisted that I use the self check out . I don't like to use self check out because of hygiene reasons and I'm a bit of a germaphobe but I do it anyway because I don't like to be difficult. The self check out was malfunctioning and she had to come back and scan her card and help at least 4 times . At this point it would have made sense to just help me at the register but she didn't not want to, instead she had no problem helping everyone else at the register . But why not me? I only had 5 small tiny items. Then the card reader was malfunctioning. Very frustrating when I'm in a rush and it seems like the associate can't be bothered to help or be of courteous service. read more

Worst pharmacy ever, 550pm I am waiting inline the next car up. I pull up and they close the metal guard on me. I pull around and go into the store and there just standing there laughing and talking jokes. They see 2 other customers trying to run upto the window and they close the metal gate as they see them walking up. This place is the worst! read more

Needed to use the restroom while shopping here. I waited outside of the 2 stalls for 10min. Finally, this lady came out and I was able to use the restroom. She was using the restroom to take a sponge bath, she had a bag of toiletries in her hand as she exited the restroom. As I left the store, I saw her packing up her shopping cart home and venturing down the sidewalk. I guess that's what you get in Buena Park. read more

I solely go to this location because it's conveniently located and it has a drive-thru. The pharmacists are consistently good, but at times you'll get that one pharmacist or technician with zero personality. The customer service here is ok, it could be a lot better. The exterior of the building is pretty filthy and unsanitary. Weeds are growing everywhere, there's mold, graffiti, and transients panhandling. This place has gotten worse over time! read more

2nd Day trying to confirm a med for my wife... after listening to numerous recording, then online info said store was closed, so called Valleyview store, they answered, were very nice, but could not help I then tried La Palma store again, 10 min hold, Ashley finally answered, ( very nice and polite), but said the med's are still not approved by our new insurance on Medicare. Wow, switching over to another insurance has never been so difficult. I guess because two insurances overlapped. the reason for the two stars was mostly CVS's I.T. website lacks and phone recordings take forever. read more

I decided to book an appt for their drive thru covid testing, and here's my experience The Bad: I came 15 mins before my appt knowing that the line for the drive thru would be long. When I arrived, it still took 45 mins before I made it to the window :/ The major downside about the testing here is that they told me it will take 6-10 DAYS for me to get my results back (when it said 2-5 days online) so it was kind of pointless. They should update that on their site. The Good: You don't need a doctor's referral to book the appt. You just go on their website and fill out a form. Pretty simple when it came to scheduling. I was nervous bc you have to do the swab test on yourself , but the pharmacist was very helpful and patient!! They watch you do the test to make sure you do it correctly. Also, there's little to no contact with the pharmacist. If you want immediate results, don't go here. But if you're desperate/want to check up on your health, it's a decent experience. read more

This CVS location gets a 5-star review just for having a drive-thru pharmacy. Yah, boy! Not only is the drive-thru convenient, the pharmacy employees are ALWAYS cheerful and helpful. And my prescriptions are ALWAYS ready when I get there. Inside the store seems a bit cramped so I avoid going inside. And I'm careful in the parking lot , , , where they've provided enough parking slots, but the lanes seem tight for 2 cars passing in opposite directions. It's a little drive from my house, but so worth the time and effort. read more

I came into to pick up a prescription. That went well. While at the counter the girl asked if I wanted a free flu shot. I said sure. She directed me to wait at another window where a second girl verified I was there for a flu shot, asked me a few questions while she entered the info in the computer, and then said your all set, they'll call you up when ready. She said it would be about 15 minutes. 20 minutes later, they called my name and when I went to the counter I was told to wait in the "pick up" line again. When I got to the register, another girl (not either of the first two) asked why I was there. I said you just called me up for a flu shot. She acted confused, left to talk to one of the other girls, came back and said "I'm sorry, but you need to fill this paperwork out first and then wait". I left the store due to the stupidity of the situation. read more

Pharmacy people here are fantastic ! Had a family member leave a convalescent facility and move into our home. The facility was terrible at letting us know what kinds of medications we would need or providing us with the proper prescriptions. The staff at the CVS pharmacy at Knott and LaPalma have gone out of their way to be helpful! They have worked with other pharmacies and doctor offices to make sure that we have the correct prescriptions. The pharmacy manager went way beyond the call of duty to help us when a doctor sent an incorrect prescription. If you want the best, go to this CVS ! ! read more

Pharmacy Techs are very polite but the Pharmacy Manager Swapna Chacko has absolutely zero customer service. I asked if I could please have my medication the next morning and she basically brushed me off saying they'll get it done. Wasn't ready until the next afternoon, nevermind the 20 minute drive I had to put in. It's a shame cause the other ladies and gentleman there are incredibly professional and accommodating and the "manager" is the one with the bad attitude and poor customer service. read more

It's a decent cvs. I mean nothing spectacular or anything. I go there for essentials or when I have extra bucks. Sometimes they have deals on makeup which I enjoy. The customer service is both. It's 50-50. Some of the employees are extremely kind and take their time. Some are just plain old rude and look at you with a mean eye when asked for help. So ya. This CVS is pretty cool. With the current economy and my incredible lack of incoming funds, I have had to change my shopping options to include coupons. I've included them in the past but I always forgot them and didn't think much of them to begin with. Now, I remember to bring them in my wallet as saving 50 cents here and there does add up! I was talking off-handedly with the current Store Manager there, a short Asian gal. She told me that since they order their inventory every week, if I were to call in and say I wanted XX quantity of this product, she would go ahead and order it for me and put it aside. I've never heard of such a thing from a big retail store like CVS. I've always thought that all CVS are related to each other in a district and it wouldn't have mattered for the Managers to pull their store as "the friendly neighborhood store". I've gone into wine shops and asked them to order cases of wine for me in the past and that has worked, but they were an individual micro-business. I can't fathom going up to a Manager at Trader Joes for them to help complete a customer's individual order. The entrance/exits are on two different sides, one on La Palma from Western Blvd and one on Knott Blvd, cross-intersectioning La Palma. The only left you can make to get back toward the Buena Park Mall/Knotts Berry Farm is on La Palma and it has a nice suicide lane for your consideration. They are located across the Buena Park Library and on the same side of the Postal Office. They've also got an Arco gas station next door, which sort of sucks, but BP is paying monies back for their oil fiasco so... (there's a Chevron on Artesia between Knott and Western by the 5.. just two-three blocks over, btw). read more

I bought two Snickers chocolate bar thinking that it was $0.75 each but found out that saving requires a CVS card membership so I ask for a refund of my $2. The cashier keep asking me to enter my phone number even thought I told them I'm not sign up and I don't want to sign up. With no customers waiting in line they had trouble still refunding my money back. Very poor customer service. read more

We have been going there since 2000, We recently changed pharmacies, because of the area, people standing outside asking for money, some of the front cashiers have bad manners. It takes too long for presciption's now. I feel this store has gone downhill, they ask for your ID for everything. I went in to get betadine for my husbands wound care, they ask for my ID, I would go into pick up my prescription, I was asked to show my ID. I then asked if that was a state and federal request, I was told no it is just store policy. I now go to Walgreens, less stress, cleaner store and no one outside hanging out. read more

I forget her name, since it's been a few weeks since I visited, but one particular employee left a great impression of this store location. Greeting a customer upon entering, knowing exactly where to direct me to find what I was looking for, was also the cashier that rang me up, and shouting a greeting to me as I exited the store. There were other customers in the store, and waiting in line, and though I only saw her, she acted like a team of personnel would/should. One thing for sure, she's the definition of stellar customer service, and multi-tasker. Hope this CVS location keeps her around, and even promote her maybe, cos she's a gem. read more
