Well stocked store, but it's not my usual place for grocery shopping, just happened to pass it on my way back home so I stopped in for some essentials. I asked an employee where some tortillas were and he took the time to walk me to the area rather than just point out the direction. Thank you Mr. young man with an Afro. At checkout I was also thankful for the cash register person , my digital ID wasn't working for some reason but she went ahead and overrode the system to give whatever small discount I got (better than nothing !) The aisles seem wider and the store well lit. Parking lot was crazy busy at 5 pm on a Thursday afternoon!! But lots of parking spots as long as you're willing to walk a few more feet. 4 stars for customer service! read more

They have a great meat counter and their beef, chicken and seafood is far superior to the "regular" groceries. Also I am not a fan of chips or crackers and thier store brand are the only ones i bother with. They are great. Their produce is great and their little specialties counter always has nice surprises. read more

OMG, they have employees! When I go to the Albertsons in the area, they have self checkout or one line open. Every checkout clerk is friendly and (usually) efficient. Prices are more than the Walmart's down the street but their lines are 10x longer. Thank you Stater for employing people. read more

This has to be the absolute worst and slowest store in the nation! They have line around the corner, yet only my two cashiers working on a Friday night. But then you look around and they have a bunch of employees standing around not doing much. On top of that the cashiers are working incredibly slow! Unreal, where is management around here? This one is so spacious, so clean, and always really well stocked. We mostly go for the deli, it's always really fresh. A little pricey for sure, service is hit or miss, but sometimes that's ok if you know you're going to get home to meat that's not slimy. read more

First off I don't understand why the low ratings for this store???? This has got to be the cleanest Stater Brothers I've ever been in. I live in west Anaheim and typically go to the cypress store on valley view, but I've started coming to this store because it is so organized! You can look down any isle and not see one product out of alignment! Even the discount shelves near the restrooms are orderly for god sake!! On my visit today I noted a man in a dress shirt speaking to one of the staff, I inquired if he was the store manager? He confirmed that he was, and I praised him for his outstanding store. He simply said "I have a wonderful team" that just impressed the hell out of me! That he gave credit to his staff, whom I could see all over the store(shortage of employees???) doing their jobs, and everyone I passed has a smile for me. In my opinion, this store is not only a credit to Stater Brothers, but should be a roll model for how ALL supermarkets should look, and function! One of the better stater bro markets in my area. They also have a recycling center on the side of the building. Ample parking lot. The meat selection and quality here are always consistently good. I usually go to the meat counter when I need a bulk selection of meat since they're always great at prepping and packaging my items. The staff here are friendly and ready to assist customers with their selection or finding items. Typically I am at the store almost every day however over the past few months I requested to be notified by giving the manager( person with white shirt) no matter how many times I leave my number. I am never contacted.ever since a large number of cashiers left the store has been headed down. I didn't want to admitted or see it because of my liking of the store HOWEVER I can't keep ignoring the repeated not being contacted despite the fact the very items the I have asked to be notified for. If the manager ( the person with white shirt) didn't want to have the responsibility of contacting they should have said so from the start, instead of presenting ones self to care but in reality could care less. I have kept my complaints to be solved in person instead of online HOWEVER it seem nothing will change, because it's the job of the manager to follow up on promises to customer. My mother and I were in line to pay for our items when the cashier notice one of our item's lid was open, she asked if I wanted to get another I said yes. My mom paid while I went to go get another one, I go back in line to show the cashier and she said we were good to go. The lady from bakery stopped me and asked to show our receipt, she assumed we were stealing along with the security guard! They weren't checking anyone only us!! This was racial profiling! Grew up down the street and have gone to this place since I was a kid. Normally they have friendly people working there and everyone is always looking like they have a good time working together. Or at least people that have a happy attitude about being at their job. Never seen this new cashier before, but she has a stank attitude. I asked her how her day was and she full on ignored me. I chalked it up to her maybe not hearing me or she's having a bad day. Then when she handed me the receipt she crumpled it in her hand. The bagger apologized after I said "oh..." and grabbed my receipt. Two stars only because everyone else that works there is great. I was on my way for some turkey and the employee by the name of ruby was supposed to take my order at the deli but instead she was way too distracted by one of the other employees by the name of ashley speaking about her "man" i asked her to please slice some turkey for me but she said it was to late and slicers were already cleaned mind you it was only 730 and also she kept coughing around the food which disgusted me and yes i did not get my turkey which probably would've got me sick anyway. There was an incident in the parking lot of this Stater Bros where I was put in a very unsafe situation. I can't explain how forever grateful I am to Chris and Cody. I was not a customer at their store and they went above and beyond to assure my safety. That goes beyond customer service. That is strait up community. I live 12 miles from this store. I work close to this store and popped in there 6 yrs ago when I started my job and it's so clean and the staff is so nice! I only grocery shop here now. Manager Xavier Contreras has helped me several times as I'm handicapped and need assistance from time to time. He was so great the first time I approached him in the store that if I need assistance I ask for him now. We also buy their Fried Chicken, Potatoes and salads in the Deli for company parties as it's really great tasting and good value! Just can't say enough great stuff about this store. read more

This is my new favorite grocery store. When you're here, they make you feel like family. I was hosting 20 people for thanksgiving dinner and I had so many questions from food to drinks. I forgot the girls name that was helping me in the deli but she was pleasantly knowledgeable and helped me more than she could ever know lol. I had some questions about alcoholic drinks and I believe the managers name was Xavier and he was so helpful. I use to go to Ralph's for everything but I have found my new grocery store. Terrible service with the butchers. They are very rude and do not provide customers with a small request unless you are basically begging for help. I've been coming here since I bought my home in 2015 and I've become accustomed to not ask for help. Last visit I asked for flanked ribs and there was 4 butchers available. I was told to go to the section were the pre packaged flanked ribs weee packaged in 2-3 piece per package. I specifically asked for 5 lbs and one butcher said to the other, "he's asking for 5 lbs" there's no need for this type of service when it's costing $8.99 a pound. Do better! I'll go to the La Mirada Stater bros from now. You don't even deserve one star in my opinion. By far the worst butchers Stater bros employs, isn't that why they're there? Again , do better ! I've been a shopper at Stater Brothers for many years but was at this Stater Brothers on Orangethorpe.The store was clean and I found most of what I needed. But the check out was very unprofessional. The checker took a personal phone call while checking my groceries and proceeded to talk about a girl he was with and how he wanted to start a fight with someone. I really don't want to hear someone's personal conversation, especially if it's not an emergency,while he's ringing up my groceries .I have never encountered someone answering their own phone while ringing up groceries.Is this Store policy?? This is my go to stater brothers since it's so near my house. But there has been two very racist encounters with an employee Meggane M. The first encounter as I was in line there was a customer who was asian who had trouble speaking english and she was blatantly humiliating her as she responded to her question if she wanted bags. And acting as if she didn't say her answer when clearly the lady spoke loud and clear for her to hear her answer and she was humiliating her by said what?? i cant hear you and then laughs at her and doesn't even give her a bag when she wanted one. Then I happened to be next up to go to the register she did not greet me nor made eye contact and stayed absolutely quiet the whole time she was ringing up my groceries and just asks if i needed a bag. I let it go since she must've had a long day but tonight she again did the very same thing she did not greet me laughed at me as she gave me my receipt.
