I've had a few issues getting things covered with an out of state prescription under my new medical plan but they've been able to get it fixed. It really depends on who's working. Some of the staff seem more willing and able to help than others. When I had some minor outpatient surgery last month my doctor sent over three scripts and they were filled by that same evening. I was impressed with that and hopefully things continue to go smoothly.

Like most people, the medication I take I need on a daily basis. Since I have moved near this location they have prevented me from getting my mental health medication upwards of 8 times, in a number of ways. They have just completely "forgotten" to put an order in for one of my medications that I take daily. When I questioned them after the 3rd day in a row of them "forgetting" to put in the request the pharmacist said "oh idk why they didn't put it in" while laughing. On another occasion they told me they were waiting to receive the scripts from my Dr, after I had JUST spoke with my Dr who said my sicripts have been waiting for pick up because they sent them over in advance *SO I DIDN'T RUN OUT OF MY MEDS COMPLETELY* and then I still had to wait two days for them to fill my script. Etc. When I address my concerns I am met with immaturity and zero empathy. Just totally unprofessional. If you take a job in the medical field no matter the level, you make the conscious decision to help people. If you're a cruel, self centered, careless person, the medical field is not the line of work for you.

Today, Jaimie helped me with an insurance issue, meaning I didn't have coverage for my medicine and she helped me learn about a free discount program. I was embarrassed and I looked awful and she saw past all that and just helped me. I was finally able to afford my medicine. I wonder if she even knows how much she improved my life just from that extra conversation she had with me today. A few weeks ago my son had surgery and I went to THREE other pharmacies, all who turned me away because my son is covered under two insurance plans and no one could figure it out (one insurance kept saying the other one was supposed to cover it). But this pharmacy figured it out and I didn't even have to ask or beg, they just knew who to call and took care of it. And to think the pharmacy at Kroger shamed me because I couldn't pay cash and I really needed the insurance to cover it. This pharmacy didn't say anything like that to me, they just treated me with so much respect. There's another Walgreens a half mile from my house, but I drive the extra few miles to come to this one because they always treat me with respect and kindness and I truly need and appreciate that right now.
