Wait, is that a CVS? It's not really obvious from a distance as the signage is limited, probably because of the shopping plaza's requirements. But yep, it is absolutely a CVS with a smaller footprint than usual. All the usual goodies including over-the-counter medications, personal care, snacks, candies, greeting cards and such. They had exactly what I needed - a cheap package of bandaids that was easy to find and easy to pay for. read more

Not the best but far from the worst. When you go into a CVS store do you have a certain set of expectations that most of them will usually meet the things that will set one store apart from the others are the customer service factors. I shop at this location while I am at work or on my way to and from work because it's very convenient. On this particular occasion I stopped in just to get some air fresheners for my car and I noticed they had Lysol in stock. Since Covid started it's very hard to find Lysol so I grabbed two cans of it. They limit the amount of certain items due to limited availability and high demand. This is common for most drug stores and grocery stores. The store was clean has a very similar layout to any other CVS. They had a lot of items in stock but I noticed their refrigerated beverages section was a little bit lacking. They didn't have a very wide variety. The staff was very friendly. They were very engaging and humorous as I checked out and it made the shopping experience just a little bit better. A good location and I will definitely be back. read more

I'm beginning to dislike this CVS. It seems that keeping the shelves stocked is not a major priority. Today the cooler was out of Diet Coke. Really? DC is the #2 selling soda in the US behind only Coca-Cola. And the cooler is empty? How do you let that happen. It's also not the first time. CVS in center of kings contrivance village center. You can park near the bank side. Near M&T. And BoA. Or back side of Harris Teeter where parking usually very crowded. They have added more quicky food and choices. They are not just a pharmacy but a convenience store now. Small sizes of common products at higher prices, but quick in and out. The front cashier always is able to help you quickly find what you need so you're out in a jiffy. The pharmacy can get overwhelmed at times, but the staff remains professional. read more

I have only been here once but it was such a GREAT experience that I'll definitely be back. There is a young lady who works here (I forgot to get her name, but she's blonde) that is awesome! She went above & beyond to help me. Without her my experience just would not have been the same. P.S. It may be a little difficult to find. My gps took me to Harris Teeter. It's actually on the other side in the middle of the village center. It's best to park near the bank. That way it's closer & easier to find! read more

Unless you absolutely have to, don't get prescriptions filled here. Recently, the tech who helped me was incredibly hostile for some reason, lied about the time the order would be ready, and lied about having all the prescriptions needed in stock (she said they did, but they didn't upon pick-up). The second two things can be forgiven, but the hostility was unnecessary. Sadly, the service has been this bad for years; I no longer get my scripts filled there (don't live in the area), but my grandparents continue to (thus my recent experience). There's a Harris Teeter down the strip, as well as Giants everywhere in Columbia. read more

On hold with the pharmacy for nearly 10 minutes before someone finally picked up. The store is often understaffed with long wait times and bad service. Why is it that CVS can build a store on every corner, but can't seem to ever hire enough people to run them? Store refused to transfer a prescription to another CVS location when asked. Told me I would need to call the other store and have them do it! The manager confirmed that this is the store policy. He offered to do it, but you shouldn't have to beg for decent service. Gives the impression that the customer works for them, as opposed to them working for the customer! Due to my prescription plan, I HAVE to use CVS for maintenance drugs, otherwise I'd avoid this chain entirely! Hopefully you have the option to shop somewhere else! read more

Every time I come here to get a prescription it's a hassle. The last time I was here I went to pick up a prescription that they had CALLED to tell me was ready, I waited in a very long pick up line. I got up to the front and the lazy girl at the desk who I assumed typed my last name incorrectly, she told me it wasn't ready and to get in the drop off line. Of course the drop off line was equally as long. I was annoyed. So I wait in that line for 15 more minutes and I get to that girl and she tells me "oh yea it's done, get back in that line" And I flipped out and said I was not about to wait in the pick up line again. Thankfully they took care of it me, but that was it. I switched all my prescriptions to the Harris Teeter in the same shopping center because I have never had any issues. Horrible, I would never recommend this CVS for pharmacy or any other CVS for that matter. read more

This is a fairly large CVS. The prices are reasonable and you shouldn't have a problem finding what you're looking for. They have a pharmacy inside which is convenient for dropping off prescriptions and the service is average, nothing outstanding but acceptable. read more

This CVS is a pain to go to. First the location is tucked away in the strip center and every time I went to pick up prescriptions or to quickly buy something, it would take forever. It is weird that Columbia has only 1 CVS. read more

Come here every three months to pick up my prescription and always manage to get lost in the sea of nail polish colors, rhinestones and other nail art tools. The pharmacy staff and staff overall are very friendly and the prices in this place are pretty cheap especially if you have a CVS card. It is located deep within the Kings Contrivance shopping center so it does take a moment to find parking and walk over which isn't a huge deal to me except in the colder months. read more

AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!! I would if my insurance was not locked into CVS. The Pharmacy sucks!!! My wife takes maintenance medicines, yet when I go to pick them up, they REGULARLY have forgotten something. Several times I am even told, "sorry we are out of that, you will need to come back in a few days." Or the "sorry, we are too busy right now, we are NOT ACCEPTING any new prescriptions or refills for rest of the day." How the heck does a pharmacy not accept prescriptions??? read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced! This pharmacy is easily overwhelmed with even the slightest amount of customer traffic, and their patients suffer for it. When people come to a pharmacy they are there to receive the medication necessary to treat their illness or injury, not to be treated poorly and left wondering if there local pharmacy can be trusted with their prescriptions. Today was the last straw for us. After receiving non-stop phone calls that my prescription was ready, I arrive at the pharmacy to be told that I have no prescription for pickup and no refills to put in for. When I offer to show them their phone calls, they give me a HUGE attitude, repeatedly say my first name as if it was a curse word, and tell me how I have not had this script called in since May- except that it was called in in July, and filled, only I was out of town and could not pick it up in time. In stead of a simple "I'm sorry mam, we can give your doctor a call and get this taken care of right away" (since they clearly took the doctor's call filled the script and didn't bother to enter it into the system- meaning that if I didn't pick it up as soon as they filled it the entire thing would disappear NOT COOL)- I was made to feel I WAS THE ONE wasting their time! I am an insulin dependent diabetic. Every CVS I have ever been to has gone above and beyond to care for myself and my family, but since moving to Guilford, I have received nothing but bad attitudes and constant screw ups! This place needs to be placed under new management! read more
