This CVS location is a hit or miss when it comes to customer service. Today is was a nice experience. Even though I wasn't greeted by the two ladies I came into contact with on entering the store, the one that helped me get my photo order was nice and did ask if I had my cvs extracare card. The process was in and out less than 5 minutes. My photos were free thanks to the T-Mobile Tuesdays app. I did get a receipt with coupons. I do like that they have a parking in the front for expecting moms. This was a pleasant experience today. read more

Customer service has declined steadily since COVID. Tonight, I was treated with astonishing rudeness by a cashier, and the manager was disinterested in addressing the problem. I can see why CVS Corp is having so many problems if this is how they manage their stores. read more

This CVS pharmacy (not regular store area) is incredibly inept and greedy. They will use one insurance that gives them a larger copay even if you have 2 and should have a lower copay for your scripts. They cannot handle things like insulin or count. They treat customers like toddlers. This is for basic scripts that are not controlled like opioids etc. The actual pharmacists are rude and treat the customers like toddlers who can't speak English... my English is perfect. There is no need for them to yell at me. They yell constantly back and forth no matter how nice you are to them. I am disabled. Maybe one day they will be disabled as well and understand what we go through. Maybe one day they will have compassion. Currently they are horribly rude and condescending. It's like they are the customers and it's your job to massage their egos and provide customer service. It's disgusting. I hope they lose their jobs. Less than one star. I hate this place. I cannot Google review them because they will see my name and they are very retaliatory. I am concerned they will not handle my scripts if they know my real name. I am insulin dependent. read more

Staff stare at you then disappear. brought up sale not ringing up to staff. Brought the staff to the shelf's with multiple 2 for $8 tags all which were current in date. Then the staff turns and says I dont know it's probably because you got two different things (same brand just two different items). her suggestion is get two more and then it should work. Go to pick up a script that was called in the day before by my doctor and they said it won't be ready until the next day after 12 as they had to 'special order it'. I show up the next day at 5pm and was told it was never called ordered by CVS but to come back in an hour. It was ready then. They are highly disorganized and seem very unprofessional at this CVS. I have been in the drive through line before when they slam down the metal curtain though it is still not closing time. read more

Cvs has always been my second home. This location was once close to me so I would go a few times. But I do enjoy this location they have tons of parking and it's a very quiet area. The location is always very clean inside and the employees are always so kind. I haven't used the pharmacy at this location but I know people who use it and they're really friendly and quick from what I'm told. This place is always very stocked. My only issue is the line is always long or always backed up, it's usually only 1 person behind the register at all times, so sometimes you're waiting awhile. Otherwise I was use this location if it were close to me. read more

The pharmacist John and Kerry were both extremely helpful. They seemed to be severely understaffed, but regardless helped me fill my prescription, answer my questions, and help me with everything I needed. They did a great job, I'll be going back because of them. read more

I'll say it right upfront: I really don't like this CVS. Sometimes, however, I'm forced to go here, since there aren't any decent convenience stores in this neighborhood. For starters, access to and from the parking lot is very awkward, just like the crazy intersection it's sited on. The store is laid out just as awkwardly on the inside. And the bright, clashing colors make me want to puke or have a seizure, I'm not sure which. The store is one of the most unkempt CVS stores I've ever set foot into; some of the gray carpeting, particularly in the snack section, is stained.. Some merchandise near the checkout is displayed so haphazardly, it looks like a yard sale. And the approach to the checkout is ... you guessed it - awkward - almost cordoned off. Employees at the register I've encountered have been, to put it mildly, odd. And one time, I saw a male customer walking into the store (well, he wasn't so much walking, as strutting), wearing what my coworker described as a "bedazzled jacket". It was fitting attire for this clown show of a CVS store. read more

Had an appointment for a Covid test at 930 am, showed up to the window at 9:17. (normal for an appt at 930) was told I needed to wait 15 mins and come back to the window at 930 as the only person on for Covid testing does not arrive until 930. I was told I could not hold up the pharmacy line, which I would understand if their was a line. I arrive back at 930 and the same person who has been at the window that told me I needed to return in 15 mins hands me the testing kit. So did the pharmacist lie? Very unprofessional. I love this CVS because the pharmacy staff is amazing!! I bug the pharmacists all the time and both of them are great. The staff at the window and the counter are great and quick to get you what you need. They have a drive thru for your convenience but why not go in and chat it up with them. The CVS is good not great because the cooler section is always lacking and I just always have to go across the street to Walgreens to finish my shopping. So go here for your prescriptions and go across the street for whatever else you need. Also the coupon machine here is always broken or just not working probably a paper issue. Come her about 10 times a month and they never disappoint read more

Do NOT use CVS for covid-19 testing. It took me 3 days to get an appointment and it is now post 8 days after I took the test and still no results. Essentially, as of now, it's 11 days and I'm still in limbo. Just horrible performance by CVS. Do yourself a favor and use another lab. read more

Had my appointment today for covid testing I'm so disappointed first all I had to swab myself and they were little Qtips not the long one that's supposed to be used and put in a drop box and now delays on results 6-8 days now that's ridiculous and I'm dying to know what they charged my insurance. This is my favorite CVS in Rhode Island. The sales people are always very friendly. The pharmacist who is a young woman (I can't remember her name) has helped me countless times when filling prescriptions. She once saved me 100 dollars on a prescription because she reminded me that I could use my college RX plan. I go to CVS over any other drug store because if you use your CVS card you always end up getting tons of coupons. The last trip to CVS I received 25% my whole purchase coupon and 6 dollars in CVS bucks. This CVS is just like any other, all the same stuff. There is a walgreens across the street but I would choose CVS any day. read more

Out of stock Out of stock. Pitiful staff and store. I went in there to get some items for my coupons and they stay outta stock. Cvs sucks I wish Walgreens would do better with the deals. FYI if you're black do not even try to buy makeup lol. This place is truly sad. Plus the manager did not let my use my dollar coupon from a different card. So i went in yesterday evening to simply go buy a red bull with my sister inlaw and the cashier at the moment who's name was mat or Neil I forgot which. He is tall, dark skinned and curly haired. He has no sort of customer service. He insulted me and my sister in law, calling us both stupid and worthless simply because we were dressed nicely at the time and wanted to buy a red bull. I'm not sure what kind of customer service they instruct at CVS but I'm almost completely sure that you're never supposed to call the customer stupid and insult them . that was my first and last time walking into that store, I'm treated way better in providence, I definitely think that you should retrain or terminate this cashier as he is giving this franchise a bad name. I don't go here. The Walgreens is 50 feet closer to my house, on the same side of the street, and a lot cheaper for almost any products. In fact the whole neighborhood fought like crazy to keep this place from opening. It was seen as an eyesore and completely unnecessary and we lost some great local businesses so this could come in. But, hey, Cvs is sorta "local" too. And they must have spent a few million fighting for this corner. Kinda ironic....seeing as No One goes in here -Ever! Actually, THAT'S the one thing I do like about it --seriously-- if you want to shop somewhere really clean, well lit, all "brand-new" like and with absolutely NO other customers to get in your way, then this is the place. Sometimes I do go to the trouble of crossing the road and buy my shampoo and Q-tips here; just to sorta "get away" from it all. because let's face it, the crowd in Walgreens can get a little scary sometimes. At least here the employees look happy, if not a little confused and surprised, to see you walk through the door. Good Christmas aisle too. We saw a gift pack of Star Trek Next generation Pez dispensers! (sadly when we went back, they were gone). Shop here if you don't like crowds and you don't mind spending a little bit more for your aspirin and Mentos. But hurry up, I can only imagine it's just a matter of time before the bleak quarterley statements force CVS to rethink the whole thing... ...maybe we can get our hardware store back? read more

Not to happy with the pharmacy department!!! Actually very upset!!! On monday took my mother to her primary care physician, for a checkup. My mom was running out of her pain medicine so we ask the dr for a refill. The dr writes the prescription and hands it to me ( she said this needs to be hand written because it is a controlled substance something new) and she sends the other scripts electronically. I get to the pharmacy I had the script to the pharmacy tech and she says sorry cant fill it you still have 9 pills left. I tell her my mon take 1 pill ever six hours so basically a 3 day supply left. I ask her what is the REAL reason she replies the insurance will not cover it!!!! AHA now I got the REAL reason, so much for CVS/Health. Caring about your customers!! The all mighty dollar first!!!! So I pick up the other scripts and the pharmacy keeps the paper script. I totally forgot about it. I get home today three days later. My moms in pain, i ask her whats wrong she states i ran out if those pills can you go to cvs. So I call them and ask them to fill the script. Guess what?????they cant find it!!! Now I am pissed, my poor mother is 64 years old in pain and these so called pharmasist that care about people cant find the script. They tell me to call the dr. So I call the dr and they are closed. I call CVS pharmacy and tell them, they say well call the on call dr???? Now I am getting more upset!!! Why did you loose the script?? Why didnt you give it back to me??? So I finally call RI hospital and speak to my moms dr their she sends the script over to CVS then actually calls me to tell me she sent it over and if their are any issues to call her back. I call CVS 30 min later and they have the script and they filled it! Point of the story dont let CVS on Broad ST in cranston take your script!! I have all my prescriptions filled at walgreens and never have a issue!!! Maybe the pharmacy manager or pharmacy district manager train their employees better!!!! Edgewood is a great, small community and the word will get around soon enough that you guys are horrible!!! read more

i was forced to switch from Walgreen's to CVS for my prescriptions due to my insurance carrier. and it has been an awful, awful experience. i have never been treated so rudely in my life as i have been by this pharmacy staff! i have no choice but to use CVS right now but i will be switching to another store ASAP!!!
