    pharmacy hours

No notice that the pharmacy changes hours from 24 hours to closing at 9am. The thing is I went the the day before to see if my sons seizure was ready, the told me it will be ready today. They did send a text that it was ready. When I went by at 9:05 pm they were closed. You would think that at least the pharmacy could have sent a text saying what there new hours are. When I went in and asked the shift supervisor of the store, he said to bad, you should switch to Walgreens. Now I prey that my son does not have a seizure tonight or it's to the ER. I hope this makes you happy CVS. Nice move Mr. CEO, profits over patients and customer!

CVS is easily the nicest convenience store around this neighborhood, the selection is really good, the prices are a tad higher than most places, but not a whole lot. In most cases CVS and Walgreens are pretty much interchangeable, however the Wedgewood Walgreens is well past its prime, making shiny, new CVS a significant upgrade over its cross-street competitor. I've always been a fan of CVS's selection, particularly the CVS store brands, and this store doesn't disappoint, from candy to OTC health items, they have a lot of options. I have to buy first-aid bandaging supplies on a regular basis, and both Target and Wal-Mart discontinued their store brands last year, so having relied on CVS in other cities for these items, I'm happy to have easy access to them again (I know there are other CVS locations, neither of which is convenient for me). The store itself is very well laid out, the aisles are much more comfortable and browseable than similar places, noticeably so, as is the spacious parking lot. I think it's great that El Paso is getting more CVS stores, keep 'em coming!

On hold over an hour!!! Worst customer service. And....it's 3am!!!

I had one of the most unprofessional and frustrating experiences I've ever had at a Walgreens…read moretoday, specifically with Irma and the woman working in the photo department (I didn't catch her name, but I have a video reference). When I first walked in to register, I witnessed Irma speaking to a customer who was simply asking a question about her reward points. Instead of trying to understand the woman's concern, Irma just repeated the same dismissive line over and over in a rude tone: "It's online. You have to look online." She didn't even try to clarify, help, or explain anything. When it was my turn to check out, I asked about the in-store Pepsi promo coupon for $1 off. I had already texted the code exactly as the coupon instructed, and I received a message saying the discount would apply once I entered my rewards number. But when they rang me up, nothing applied. Instead of helping, Irma fed me the same nonsense excuse she'd been giving everyone: "It's an online coupon. You have to do it on your phone." That wasn't even true. The coupon was right there, in store, clearly marked. She acted like I didn't understand the process, when in reality she clearly didn't know what she was talking about. She eventually voided the transaction and manually took off the dollar -- something she could have done from the start. Irma then tried to argue with me by claiming the coupon was marked in red and that it clearly said it was an online only offer. I showed Irma right there on my phone that yes, it did say "online," but it was highlighted in yellow, not red like she claimed. And honestly, even if it is an online offer, then why is Walgreens displaying it in-store at all? What's the point of putting up coupons that can't even be used at the register? It's confusing, misleading, and a complete waste of everyone's time. They need to do better. After this whole ordeal, I went straight to the manager Ray to explain how unacceptable the behavior was. I've never been treated so rudely at any Walgreens or CVS. The lack of customer service, the dismissive attitudes, and the unwillingness to assist customers is shocking -- especially from employees who should know better. As a rewards member, I shouldn't be treated like I'm a problem for simply asking about a promotion displayed in the store. Walgreens seriously needs to retrain staff like Irma and the photo department employee, because the way they're handling customers is completely unacceptable. Whether Ray--the manager--or any of these Walgreens employees actually care about correcting this behavior is honestly unclear. But I would hope that Walgreens as a whole understands something simple: if customers treated them the way they treated us, they wouldn't tolerate it for a single second. It's time for this store and its leadership to step up, take responsibility, and fix the way they treat the people who keep their business running.

After waiting in line for 25 minutes today I gave the young girl the name for my daughter's prescriptions. She keeps insisting that there is only two RX's. I told her there is three & to check again. She argues that there is not & I show her my app which clearly shows the three prescriptions that the Dr called in. She goes to get them and leaves me waiting another 10 minutes with many cars piling up behind me at this point. She came back finally and told me that they have "lost" the prescription and will have to re make the prescription and for me to come back in one hour. The other missing prescription not filled either. She could tell at this point that I was visually upset. She put the phone down and started laughing with the pharmacist. The utter lack of professionalism & unconcern for people's time at this pharmacy is unbelievable. They used to have a great pharmacy staff. Now it is terrible.

I have always found Walgreens to be an excellent source of much needed currency wherever and whenever traveling(especially whilst biketouring) throughout the USA. Fond of true dark chocolate, I'll often buy a few bars of it with my VISA debit card, and increase the amount to what I forecast my immediate future expenses. I didn't go far before finding Starbucks Black Unsweetened Coffee, something I'd been thirsting for several months now. Even better, it was a 'two-fer' on sale. Of course, I bought the pair, but was hesitant to buy more because they'd have to be packed aboard my Doublevision and any liquid spillage, well, at least it wouldn't be a sugary spill! Anyway, cashier Briana expertly checked me through, plus the extra cash that would prove essential once I had entered Mexico at the Ysleta-Zaragoza POE. At the El Poste Centrro Cambiario, Avenida Waterfill, the exchange rate of 18.45 pesos to 1.00 usd meant I'd easily be able to buy another excellent meal at Pollo Feliz! Thank you, Briana & Walgreens, you get both 5-stars and my "Wheel of Approval!"
