I am out of my meds and now have to scramble to hopefully get my prescription filled by today. This is important information to give to a patient, and I was not informed until my prescription is completely out.

She was in such a hurry to talk that she did not let me finish talking. Because of this, our exchange took longer and was more complicated than it needed to be. I don't talk particularly slowly. The clerk answering the phone was just too impatient and rude. If this new person in the pharmacy can't slow down at least a little and be polite to customers, maybe she should have a job other than answering the pharmacy phone.

Approximately three hours later, right before closing on a Friday, they call her and state they do not have the insulin needed. This made my wife wait an entire weekend without medication. We could have been calling other pharmacies for the insulin if they did not mislead us about her medication.

There are few absolutes, but I can…read moreabsolutely say that I will NEVER go to this bastion of discrimination against people with disabilities again! I hurt a leg earlier on this trip, and am on crutches, and move very slowly. There were several things: 1. WalMart prohibited us from using a cart to take our RV. Perhaps "Alex" needs to spend some time on crutches to see what it is like. We were simply unable to get out purchases to the RV in any reasonable way. Finally, without any help from WalMart we were able to get the RV close enough to a door to load it. 2. While the RV was there, we were approached by somebody apparently with WalMart, who questioned what we were doing. When I pointed out that we had no help with what we had just bought from WalMart, he acted incredulous. When I pointed out that WalMart was discrimination against people with disabilities, first he laughed, then he started baiting me. Mr WalMart really should relocate to a more appropriate country. 3. I'm from several hundred miles away, but if I were local, I would already have contacted an attorney. The total contempt WalMart holds people with disabilities, even minor, temporary injuries such as mine, is contemptible. They are UnAmerican and should not be allowed to do business in this country until they seriously change.

Well, I WANTED to make this a good review but felt they skipped an opportunity to make my…read moreexperience better, but opted not to and instead pushed their systemic issues into my lap. When my CVS was out of a prescription medicine they transferred the RX to this McKinleyville CVS after confirming they had the drug in stock and when I called to confirm they'd received it, they couldn't see it in their system. After an extremely long call with them which included spelling the patient's first and last names at least a dozen times, I was told I should call my CVS again. I did - they instructed me to tell McK CVS to check their queue, and I called McK back and they saw it. I get they're busy and understaffed but feel certain it would have been a more efficient use of their time to call the other CVS themselves and figure out the issue instead of having the customer so involved in their issue(s). Lastly, once they resolved the issue and had the prescription to fill, I was advised it would be ready "after lunch." I went at 4:45 pm and it was not ready, but as it was urgently needed I waited the additional 15 minutes while they expedited the preparation of the RX. I'm giving 3 stars because the people with whom I interacted at pickup were very pleasant and really tried to help me.

Everyone I've dealt with has been kind and helpful and I wish I would have gone to them first after Rite Aid closed. They have great store hours, I love that I can leave a voicemail and someone will call me back. Also, one thing I hated about Walgreens was that prescribers (Doctors/NPs/PAs) couldn't jump the line and had to wait on hold for over 30 minutes to speak to the pharmacist. What prescriber has time for that? At CVS, the first question they ask you is if you're calling from a doctor's office which means my doctors can easily call in for me if they need to speak to the pharmacist about a medication. I'm just really impressed with the care I've had here. I was so sad when Rite Aid closed but I'm very glad to have found a place just as great.
