Needed to get a prescription filled. The lady in the drive thru said that she could not check with other CVS pharmacy's to inquire if they had the medication. She gave me the location of other CVS pharmacy's but said she could check if they had it. I called around and found the medication. That CVS said that it was possible to check other locations inventory. Customer service does not exists at this location. read more

We just had one of the worst experiences today with the CVS pharmacy in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Unfortunately we had a relative pass away on Friday and forgot to bring life keeping medicine with me. My doctor was gracious enough to answer her phone on Saturday and called in 4 prescriptions to this CVS on Saturday morning. Upon arriving on Saturday to the CVS, I was informed they had the order but it would not be ready until Saturday afternoon. I did not receive a text until Sunday morning saying the prescriptions would be ready on Sunday at 4:45 PM. Upon arriving at the pharmacy at 4:45 PM, we found a very long line in the drive though which was the only option as the pharmacy was too lazy to open the in store windows. We waited over 30 minutes. Upon finally arriving at the window, I was informed they did not have any prescriptions for me. After three people looked at two different computers, they finally found my order and I was told there was no way to fill these orders today. Remember, as an open heart patient, these medicines are meant to keep me alive. Sabrina, who said she was the pharmacist, was very rude and said that other people were waiting and she would not fill my order until Monday morning. She said other people had received messages about their prescriptions being filled and they were not getting their orders. She was very rude and did not care about my need for medicine. I will be making a complaint to the NC Pharmacy board. We want people to know to never trust this pharmacy as they do not care about your needs. read more

Went thru drive thru and had to wait almost 20 minutes in drive thru. I was greeted by a very unpleasant cashier named Claire she was very sarcastic and extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. I asked to speak to the pharmacist and when he walked over after hearing the way his associate had spoken to me, he wasn't at all understanding. I've been going to this pharmacy since I first moved here in 2016 and the experience has truly gone downhill in the past couple months. My last straw was with a prescription that I had sent over from an urgent care. I tried calling in to talk to the pharmacy and was on hold for ~45 minutes before hanging up. I still wasn't seeing any notifications in my CVS account about this new prescription, even hours later. I tried calling again later and again I was on hold for ~30 minutes. I ended up calling the urgent care and they told me they sent over the prescription at 10:49am and CVS had indeed received it. I end up getting in my car at around 3pm to get in line at the drive-thru, which ended up being almost a 30-minute wait (and I had 3 cars in front of me). I get to the window and ask for my new prescription and the lady working (who I didn't recognize) tells me they haven't received it. Well, I hand over the paperwork I got from my urgent care with the prescription order on it. The lady goes in the back with it and ~10 minutes later tells me that it will be ready in about 1 hour to 1.5 hours, and this could have ALL been solved if they ANSWERED THE PHONE! I ended up getting my prescription the next day because I was so sick and needed to rest at home - I couldn't just be driving around for another 1.5 hours. I also had a couple of vaccinations scheduled the previous weekend and had my appointment (scheduled days before) CANCELLED on me within a few hours of the actual appointment with no excuse given. So the time I had set aside to make the reservation and clear my schedule were all for naught. I ended up rescheduling my appointment at the CVS that is inside the Target in Holly Springs. This should be zero. This location has been horrible for a long time. Today there seems to be more employees which is great, but the employees that are here, it takes forever to complete the simplest of tasks. I came in to pick up my husbands prescription. They filled it for the 3 months which was 225.00. We can't afford that much, so I requested they fill it for the one month supply. This isn't a difficult thing to do, as it would only require them to remove 4 of the 6 boxes and reprint the prescription information showing a one month supply and showing the 74.99 charge. It's been over an hour and it's still not done. Finally, an hour and a half later, it's finished. I checked out through drive through and Ashantee was very nice, apologetic. She deserves a five star, but the location is a zero. I'm sure the employees in there are doing the best they can with what they have. It's not their fault that CVS is a horrible company and doesn't hire enough help for the locations they have. The way things are done in any location is that you wait in line in one location and if something is wrong, they make you go to another area, to wait in line and then when they are done, you need to go back and wait in another line to be able to check out. If something is wrong at the first area, send us over to fix it, but then walk us over where we were originally and check us out. We shouldn't have to wait in line 3 times and spend an hour or more waiting to check out in the pharmacy. They also have a habit of not answering their phones. I once wait for almost an hour on the phone to get someone to pick up the phone. They hadn't picked up by 25 minutes, so I drove to the location and stayed on the phone til I got to talk to someone and it was 55 minutes. No one should have to wait 55 minutes to talk to a person, on an issue that's been going on for 8 (eight) days and an antibiotic. On that eighth day my antibiotic had still not been filled by this location. Even if they'd been understaffed, certain prescriptions should be made a priority or at least filled after a certain amount of time. If that couldn't happen, then the prescriptions should be switched to another CVS or another pharmacy all together. There's ways around issues but no one these days seems to have any common sense. Yes, I've worked in medical for over 25 years and worked for the state and private pharmacy before, so I know my way around the system, but, so should those that work at the locations. Things don't need to be as difficult as they are. I don't think the people working in there mean for it to be so irritating, but they also don't attempt to make it any easier for themselves nor their patients. Stage a walk out and make CVS take better care of the employees and the patient. I used to work for Walgreens and since I was a little girl, my prescriptions were filled at Walgreens, so I'm a little biased to them. However, seeing the way things are handled at a Walgreens compared to a CVS are night and day. CVS should have their employees shadow a Walgreens location to learn the way things should go. If not a Walgreens, then another local pharmacy. It doesn't matter how many CVS I go to, there's always a problem and always turns into an over thirty minute or an hour issue. Life is fast paced and people don't have time to spend that much time on things that should have already been completed. read more

WHAT?! This is a new low for CVS and shame on me for allowing them so many extra chances to be professional, timely and responsible. They let me know they are filling my meds 1st thing this morning (need them tomorrow BTW) then this afternoon nor only are they NOT ready but they are closing 4 hours early because they are short staffed?! I have no meds and I'm furious. This is not a frozen custard store. People rely on their services and it appears they do not care if they go out of business, or at least the people who work there have given up. I can feel my IQ lower when she speaks. I know the Walgreens in town is slow but they aren't incompetent. The female pharmacist at this CVS, the one with broken English, is slow, entitled and rude. I've filled multiple medications at this location - always an issue if I have to deal with her. She is utterly incompetent and ignorantly has an attitude with customers. Have one back and she thinks she can refuse to fill your medication. In our latest back and forth, after sitting on my medication for two weeks (a controlled substance that was out of stock) she decided to tell me that even if it became available, she wouldn't fill it because they last time I called I asked her "could you check" and I just "WaSn'T gOiNg tO tAlK tO HeR LiKe tHaT" (I'll be back next week to say the same thing). I asked to confirm this crazy statement three times and just as ignorant and as proud as she could be she confirmed three times that she just WOULD NOT fill it. Called CVS corporate confirmed she is not "the highest person", she does have a boss, and they don't care about her feelings either....omw to pick up my meds. We all need to use a restroom not here store is nasty. I have never seen a women's restroom so dirty. Health dept should visit this store. Floors dirty. I went without my estrogen medication for 3 weeks while the store in Lillington had plenty. They didn't bother to advise me of that so I could get my meds elsewhere. Now my INS has approved new medication 3 days ago but CVS has yet to fill it. read more

I am constantly having to call in to hurry my order along. I'm talking days after it is placed by my dr. Or when I make a refill request. When I call in I am psychologically tortured by your hold music. I am pretty sure the CIA uses your hold music to get information out of suspected terrorist. It probably only takes them 30 minutes. Because after 20 minutes of listening to your hold music I end up hanging up. There's only so much torture, I'm willing to put myself through, and believe me I would give out government secrets if I was made to listen to that god awful noise longer than 20 minutes! The staff need to answer the phone and your torturous music needs to change. I am now looking into other pharmacies, mostly because of the damn hold music. read more

This place needs intervention or to be shut down immediately. Staff and pharmacists need training. Patient care is absolutely NOT a concern and health and safety is at risk. CVS has created a no win situation for the current staff and they are now completely incompetent, unprofessional, and in my opinion should seek employment in another field, preferably something that doesn't impact the health and safety of others. I wasn't able to leave a review on Google, so Yelp it is. tl;dr consistently the worst pharmacy experience, always a train wreck trying to get a prescription filled. I very rarely post negative reviews, even after a poor experience. I've had so many poor experiences here that I felt compelled to write this review. I have been using this CVS for a couple of years and the pharmacy experience (which was never great to begin with) has gotten exponentially worse. Every single time I need to have a prescription filled there is some issue: readiness, poor/disjointed communication, long lines, medicine availability and stock, etc. I have had multiple prescriptions that were supposed to be ready not available for pickup. I've had antibiotics called in, went to pick them up hours later, and was told they were out of stock. When I asked if when they could fill it, they assured me they'd be able to fill it the following morning. After 2 days of waiting (unable to take my antibiotics or start my steroid) they still couldn't fill it and I had to transfer to Walgreens. They are often out of stock and their customer service is lacking as they never set expectations based on their actual capacity to fill prescriptions in a timely manner, or make recommendations for their customers benefit to get needed prescriptions filled. No offering to check if another CVS has stock or transfer elsewhere. The two transfer experiences I've had have been even worse. I've had multiple instances where I've been incorrectly told when something can be filled and have had to wait much longer than expected. I'm a big fan of convenience as I have recurring monthly prescriptions to fill and this location is by far the closest for me, but fair warning - this location is terrible - 0/10 do not recommend. Moving forward I'll be driving well out of my way for a pharmacy experience that prioritizes customer service, communication, sets realistic expectations, and one that is better stocked. read more

I called my CVS in Fuquay, NC this morning to have my meds refilled. One of them is a controlled med that my Dr. calls in. I was. Informed that they didn't have enough of the med in stock to complete my prescription. I know that if they fill it with what they have I need another prescription for the rest. I was informed that I could have my Dr. call in a prescription to another pharmacy if I wanted to. That would mean that I would have to go to two pharmacies to get my meds. This is about the fourth time I was not able to get my meds on time. With all the restrictions on controlled meds, I get very close to my last tablet before getting my prescription. Also I am 74 yrs. old and I try not to go to very many places due to Coronavirus. I do not understand their shortages. If it happens to me, I know many other customers are affected by this problem. NO good recommendations from me!!! read more

I am gonna have to agree to disagree with some of the other reviews. Every time you go into a store you can always find the bad, but if you look there are blessings there too. Yes, I have had issues with billing, errors in the way the script was written, trouble with refills. In no way did I ever feel like they did not care about my families well being. They have their protocols, and standards which are in place for a reason. Could they work on some of their communication skills? Sure, that is one area we could all improve in. Honestly, what has kept me coming back is the genuine character from Glendra and David. They are two technicians who are sincere, upfront, and really care. Although I typically try to use independent pharmacies, the prices my pharmacy coverage provides at CVS couldn't be passed up; I found this pharmacy staff to be very communicative and also they alerted me to a coupon from the drug manufacturer that saved me even more. I recently needed a medication that was originally called into Walmart pharmacy. Walmart was backordered so they called it into CVS who had it available and said it'd be ready for pickup Friday (the next day). I get there Friday after work and it hasn't been called in (I understand this is Walmart's error, not CVS). However, CVS took my information and said they'd call Walmart to figure it out and let me know when it's ready. I never heard anything back that night or the next morning. Called Saturday around lunch and it was still not resolved. I gave my information again and was told I'd have an update in an hour. Called back an hour and a half later and the lady I spoke to just went on break and there was still nothing in the computer... left my info AGAIN for a call back and never heard anything. I ended up calling Walmart myself and they had actually just gotten the prescription in so I got it from them and thankfully didn't have to deal with CVS any further. Have yet to ever hear anything back from them btw. Leaving two stars because they were atleast friendly and pleasant to speak to when I did speak with someone. read more

I am going to say that this CVS has gone way downhill since we moved to Fuquay in 2008. I go there frequently for prescriptions and have had far more bad experiences than good. I have been ignored at the counter and while at the drive thru. It has not been uncommon for me to wait over 10 minutes for prescriptions that are READY and there was no line of customers. I will give a huge shout out to "Donna," the ONE pharmacy tech who has always been super nice and prompt. I wish I could find out the days she is working and only pick up on those days! read more

We always go to CVS for prescriptions and general shopping today we had the worst experience with customer service. We had a coupon for 20% when usually they can scan your phone to apply but the associate held up the line of about 5 customers because she would not scan the electronic coupon and wanted a printed one instead (which we always use our phone) then the manager had to walk out with the customer behind us because of the way the same associate treated her. I will make the drive to other location from now on. I recommend the same for others poorly staffed. read more

I was already a loyal CVS customer, but after my experience at the Fuquay Varina store a few weeks ago, I will forever shop there for all my drugstore needs! My husband was up most of the night with a migraine and we had no asprin in the house. I was at CVS as soon as they opened on a Sunday morning, and after finding the Excedrin migraine which is the only thing that works for him, I went to pay and realized I left my wallet at home. Joe (i think that's his name) was the manager on duty and was working behind the register and allowed me to take home the Excedrin to my husband. I returned within 15 minutes to pay but letting me leave the store without paying and trusting me to come back was enough to secure my business there for as long as I live nearby. I came here the other day to check out the store since I just moved down the street and my experience was not that great. When I first walked in, there was nobody there to greet me and I wasn't sure where the coupon machine was. I was going to ask a customer service representative to help me locate the machine but there was nobody to be found. I eventually found the machine and figured it out myself but it would have been nice to get some help from one of your employees. As far as your selection goes, there really isn't much to choose from here. Mostly just overpriced, bare necessities. Depending on how the coupon system works I will probably be returning only because of the fact that I can get some good deals there using my coupons. Horrible store as is just about all the stores in this chain. They continually send out these 20% off coupons that says you can scan them on your phone, but when you go into the stores at least half the time they say they can't. It's not the cashiers' fault though. They are constantly being told "policies" from their corporate level that change daily or by the hour and it often contradicts what was said the day before. So one minute it may be ok to scan the coupons from your phone the next minute it may not be. To inconsistany for me. I'd rather shop at a business that I know what the policy is before I go in there. They must just toss a coin to decide the policy for the day or hour. I don't see and real reason to shop at these places anyway. Their prices are always higher than at Walmart or other supermarkets, and it will take less time going there than it does CVS as they are so understaffed that the lines can be 6-8 people long most of the time. read more

The store here isn't bad, a little understaffed, but the people here are generally friendly and the prices are good. However, the pharmacy really brings this place down. The staff are not only rude, but incompetent, and seem incapable of filing any prescription within a reasonable amount of time. Once, my doctor called in a prescription at 9am. I went in at 5pm to pick it up and they told me that they didn't have it in stock. They didn't even bother to call and let me know, even though they had all my contact info in their system. They *never ever* call. I ended up having to go to Walmart for my medicine. They consistently make mistakes with my information. Recently, they got my insurance info wrong, and my name wrong, and my husband's name wrong, and tried to turn me away with no service, although I'd provided them with my identification card and insurance card. I gave the tech my husband's social security number and birth date. How could she possibly confuse him with someone else? The level of incompetence on display at this pharmacy is truly astounding. Whenever I call to check on a prescription, they either leave me on hold until I get tired of waiting and hang up, or they act as if I'm bothering them. Whenever they make mistakes, they try to blame it on my doctor and make no effort to remedy the situation in a professional manner.
