I came here at 2am after the nearby hospital sent my prescription electronically to get it filled here. I didn't even realize there were any 24 hour pharmacies and thought that I would have had to wait until morning to get my prescription filled -- luckily, the nurse I was working with suggested that I have my prescription sent there so I did. The hospital was 7 minutes away from the pharmacy and by the time I got there, they already had my prescription packaged and ready to go. Being as I had just spent several unnecessary hours in the ER and had to be up at in 3 hours to go to work at 5 (#TeamNoSleep), that alone would have warranted 5 stars. However, the pharmacist that I was working with was sooo helpful. The antibiotics that I was given were wayyyy too big for me to take (my swallow game is weakkk) so I asked him if there was anything that I could do to about it. He had suggested breaking the pills in half but they were the nasty kind that I knew I would taste if I did so (tasting meds make me gag). He went to the back to find a smaller pill form of the medication but I wasn't rocking with that either because it was less concentrated and I'd have to drink twice as many. He then went as far as to call the hospital I just came from to speak to the prescribing doctor about more potential solutions. Mind you, its 2 in the freaking morning. I don't know what strings he pulled but by the time I walked out of that pharmacy, I was toting a bottle of grape flavored antibiotic juice in my CVS paper bag under my arm like it was a Colt 45. This guy doesn't even understand what he did for my lifeeee lol He really went above and beyond to help me and I'm super grateful. Plusss, there are no lines at the counter at 2am :P read more

Cvs corporate needs to do a serious business process improvement plan with this location! This is the very worst pharmacy I've ever been to. It's not the staff, it's just that there isn't enough staff for the volume of customers it has! The wait time is incredibly long, even through the drive through. Slow and poor inventory. My girlfriend needed a lot of common prescriptions following a surgery. They had none of them in stock. Non pain killers, anti-inflammatory, or laxatives. They are severely understaffed. I tried during the day and late at night. Midnight and there was 1 cashier servicing a line with more than 10 customers. I had much better luck with a non-chain pharmacy nearby. Co-op pharmacy had everything but they aren't 24 hours. read more

I absolutely hate coming to this location for prescriptions. I get text notifications when a prescription is filled and on at least 2 occasions I have walked out of line and left prescriptions because the customer service is the most inefficient I have experienced. read more

I literally feel like I just walked out of the twilight zone. I know I dropped my prescriptions off on Thursday, it's now Tuesday and I've received no text. Today I just walked in trying to get an update on my medications (there were at least 4 different ones) and they're telling me they have nothing for me as if I did not drop my prescriptions off. I even went on to describe the girl I remember dropping my papers to. Everyone there is telling me there is no such person with the hairstyle in which I describe. According to the CVS staff I'm a liar and I need to go back to my doctors office to get the Rx's rewritten. No one can even run the cameras back to see what happened. The pharmacy is crazy busy but my prescription, which was called in from out of state, was ready in minutes. They have a slew of pharmacists who, between the phones and the counter, seem to work well together. After insurance, the antibiotic only cost $2.67, so that was a nice surprise as well. read more

Had a very rude interaction with an employee working at the pharmacy as I was trying to put in a prescription working in a dental office, I usually have no problem speaking with an associate and leaving it with them. This time around she made excuse that it would be faster if I leave the prescription on the voice mail , A voice mail box they check every hour compared to her writing the script and transferring it . When I asked for her name she did not want to give her name ,was told that was not the point and became very rude and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL . I asked for supervisor and then she proceeded to ask for the Doctor I work for. Being the office manager , I don't bother My doctor for minor situations that I know I can handle. As I continued to ask for her supervisor , She disconnected the phone call , I proceed to contact the main pharmacist who which she said is the supervisor , I Left my script her . Very disappointed in this CVS. The pharmacy has always been very slow and made mistakes with my prescriptions. I know they've been trying to make improvements, but just had another terrible encounter. They gave me only half of my antibiotic prescription and did not tell my husband when he picked it up. I had to then go make another apptmnt w my doctor to get the remaining prescription filled again. Absolutely unacceptable and frankly dangerous. Will never go here again unless drastic changes are made and they work hard to build back their customers' trust. read more

The CVS has to be in the worse location and have the most awkward entrance I've ever seen. Of course once your inside it's your usual CVS. It's an older store so it's not big and does not have a lot of space. It does have 2-3 handicap spaces directly in front and I am usually able to find parking. read more

Another medication was sent to the wrong pharmacy and so I'm responsible of calling the other pharmacy to ask for the transfer versus the lady in the pharmacy calling herself. The line there is always long and the staff is rude and completely non-customer service oriented. The other day, my husband and I went to pick up his two prescriptions and the pharmacy technician had the nerve to ask him if he had insurance. Ofcourse he does! That's why we gave them the insurance card and information when we dropped off the prescription. She tells us, "Oh, no one put the information in so unfortunately we cannot process your prescription because our systems are down." First off, we dropped off the prescriptions for over 24 hours and it should have already been filled and processed. Secondly, what do they mean they don't have our insurance information? Did they just look at the pretty card and slipped into La La Land and handed our card back? I'm a patient person so I tell the lady it's fine and we'll come back later. We return at night and the technicians tell us, "Oh, looks like only one went through insurance and the other didn't so we have to reprocess the prescription and you have to wait here." That is totally unacceptable. How can someone put one prescription through insurance and not the other? Both were placed at the same time with the exact same name and insurance information. Either they are severely incompetent or just plain stupid. We had to wait two hours for them to process the prescription that should've already been done two days ago. I don't know whether their incompetence is due to bad management or laziness but something needs to be done because customer satisfaction is NOT what they are about. read more

Although it's a 24 hour location, it's the same all day. One person on the register, a long single file line that flows down the aisle ans cashiers who just aren't quite sure where things are. Tonight, they decided to switch things up a bit possibly due to my eminent need to purchase excedrin for a migraine I've had for a couple of hours, but I digress. There was no one at the registers but there was a sign that asked all customers to have their coupons and payment ready at the counter when making a purchase, I laughed because there was no one to factually ring up the purchase to begin with. So I just stood at the counter until someone magically appeared from nowhere. He strolled past me and took another customer standing beside me. WORST CVS branch!!!! 2 MAJOR COMPLAINTS! First, they were very inconsistent with when my medication will be available. At first they said to come back in 2 hours for them to prepare my medicine. Then I came back and they said it is out of stock and come back the following morning which I did and told me that it is still out of stock. So the following day I came back just to check if its already available and told me to wait for 10 minutes and it will be ready for pick. So I came back in the evening and said that its not ready yet and come back in 10 minutes. I came back the following morning just to tell me that its not in stock and go to another CVS branch!!! What a WASTE OF MY TIME!!!!!!!!!! Secondly, when I'm trying to get my prescription back so I can refill it from another pharmacy company, somebody came to talk to me with a high tone of voice saying that I cannot get my prescription back because apparently the prescription I personally handed to them 2 days ago is not in my file. I go to this CVS because it is convenient to where I live on Hanover Parkway, however more times than not, there is always a line at checkout. They usually will have 1 or 2 cashiers available and once in awhile they may ask for another to come help. Was there this morning and took me 10 minutes to wait in line to checkout. Aside from the usual wait at checkout, the store is not bad. Usually has everything I go in for and I have also used the pharmacy a number of times in the past. The people working there are always very nice and friendly and usually helpful too. I wish they could possibly add 1 or 2 self-checkout stations, considering they have 4-5 available, but only 2-3 are ever used for checkout. I will continue to use this CVS because of convenience, but if you are in a super hurry, you might not be in and out very quick. As someone else mentioned, the parking lot can be a little cramped at times, but I rarely, if ever, had any problem getting a spot whenever I've been there. Besides, you can always park near the bank next door or on the other side of the CVS near Safeway if needed and they are super close. read more

Do not use this pharmacy!!!! I waited for a half hour for my prescription and then was handed only a prescription for Motrin! Motrin was just one of the 3 items I needed. I contacted my doctor who said she had sent it. I then had her send it to Safeway where the whole prescription was filled in 15 minutes and was staffed by only 2 people. Extraordinarily rude pharmacy department. Came in off the highway going from Virginia to NJ. Needed to use a bathroom and pick up some provisions for the rest of our roadtrip and found this CVS. I understand that they don't have a public bathroom, but the rude, condescending tone I received from the people in the pharmacy department was completely unnecessary. When I told them that it was an emergency the one pharmacist told me "Well, you've got a problem." I'm not from that area nor do I ever see myself returning to Greenbelt, MD specifically, but I really hope that this is not how the people in this department treat anyone. Never have your pictured developed here: The service is lousy, and you will be cheated out of your money Just went to that CVS to order photographs. First computer stopped working in the middle of sorting my pictures, cashier ignored my request for help. Second computer worked, but there was no paper in it to print the order receipt. So I had to memorize the order number and number of images (228 for one-hour print), because cashier still ignored my request for help, and nobody else seemed available in the store. When I cam back an hour later, finally cashier checked on my order and noticed that computer had only printed a portion of the images, and had asked for images being resubmitted. So she ordered the computer to reprint the images, without even telling me. In the end, I was charged for two orders, although I only had submitted one. Male clerk treated me very arrogantly, insisting in a loud voice that I had released two orders, for more than 350 images. When I repeatedly denied it, he tried to prove to me on the computer screen that there were two orders under my name, and of course failed, since there was no second order. Still insisted to blame me, and finally offered that I could sort out the images that I had not ordered expecting that I would go through about 350 images, now messed up through his repeated sorting of them, to sort out the 116 that had been printed twice and were now everywhere among the 350. I capitulated, and was charged 117 $ - the full price for 344 prints in seconds (32 cents per image), although I had ordered only 228 images for 19 cents per image. But I was so tired of the constant lying and denying and blaming and screaming of the clerk, that I just wanted to leave, and didn't even care anymore what they charged me, and didn't even check my receipt. Basically I was overcharged 72 Dollars, almost twice the original price! This was not the first time that I had trouble with this CVS's photo department, but this time was the worst. On September 1st of 2011 I decided to purchase a hair brush and deodorant because i was heading out of town. All the other stores in this area close early so i had no choice. On past visits, I've had the manager on duty ring me up and she always uses the counterfeit money detector pen when i pay. Mind you, I've lived in this neighborhood for 6 years, have been a loyal customer but yet get treated like a criminal. On this recent visit there were several people (females) in line, all were rung up without any incident or extra scrutinization. Without fail, as soon as i got to the counter, i got the same "pen" treatment. I believe this manager profiles black males. If it was once, i would say it's procedure, but everytime I've shopped there and she's cashier? That's profiling. I kept patronizing this establishment because i felt like that was the best way to confront her prejudice and racist antics. This is my first step and will be followed up by a letter to the corporate office. I've tried to be as reasonable as possible, but September 1st was my breaking point. read more
