I guess Circle K just took over the convenience store? Anyway the gas prices haven't gone down too much and it's still somewhere in the mid-range and not usually too much cheaper or more expensive than others around here. There are some really expensive ones in these parts though so this is a better deal than those. Typical convenience store stuff inside and nothing much to report in terms of special deals or items.

This is not a high-end specialty grocery store like Whole Foods or Central Market. You are not coming here for 100 different varieties of asparagus water. What you are getting is an enormous, incredibly well-stocked grocery store with reasonable prices and basically anything you could ever imagine needing. I will say that this is definitely not the cheapest H-E-B. It is in a more affluent part of Houston, and the prices seem a little higher than some other H-E-B locations. But the selection, organization, and overall experience more than make up for it. The staff here are exceptional. I have been to this store during hurricanes and other chaotic times, and the employees operate like it is just another day. They are professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. If you ask where something is, they will help you find it. If you tell them you bought something here before but cannot find it anymore, they will actually try to figure out what happened to it rather than just shrugging and moving on. The H-E-B app also makes shopping here so much easier. The store is enormous, but you can search for almost anything and it will tell you exactly what aisle it is in and even roughly where in the aisle to look. And the selection is ridiculous. They have prepared meals you can throw in the oven, sushi, marinated meats ready to cook, a huge cheese selection, wine, school supplies, pet food, a full pharmacy, fresh tortillas being made throughout the day, and seemingly everything else you could ever expect a grocery store to carry. They are also constantly introducing new products and prepared foods, so there is usually something new to try. The only real downside is that this store might be too successful. It gets PACKED. The parking lot itself is well designed, but there are simply too many people trying to shop here at peak times. My rule is basically that if the parking lot is completely full, I probably do not want to go inside. The aisles are normal grocery-store width, so when the store is crowded you can absolutely end up in shopping-cart traffic jams. Thankfully, they have what feels like 25 checkout lanes, so even when the store is slammed, checking out usually moves surprisingly quickly. Overall, this is just an exceptionally well-run grocery store. Great selection, great staff, great organization, and almost everything you could possibly need under one roof. It is easily the best grocery store I have personally been to.

It appeared that both the cashier and the bagger were more focused on their phones than on assisting customers. I was charged for an item that I did not buy. When I pointed out the mistake, I was told that I wanted to pay for that item separately, which was incorrect. I had handed over certain items that I did not want, but organic sweet potatoes were not among them. I purchased russet potatoes, not organic sweet potatoes. Customers should be able to trust that their purchases are scanned accurately and that concerns are listened to and addressed professionally. I hope management reviews this issue and provides additional training to prevent similar mistakes in the future!!
