I've been coming to this store for 5+ years and after several attempts at giving them another chance... I'm done! Never anyone to help you and if there is there's a 90 percent chance they are going to be rude, condescending and extremely unbelievable. This particular store is a block away and so is Walgreens. I would rather travel to the west plaza location than ever stepping into this store again! I've complained so many times. Find ANOTHER cvs! It's Saturday morning, the sign says open at 8. Nope, garage/security door locked. At 8:20 a female employee gets dropped off. She enters, but doesn't open. 2 more employees show up, with the last one acknowledging that he'll need a minute to get set up. At least 7 would-be customers approached door. If this location can't supply reliable service, it should close down. 8:41a it finally is open. Ridiculous. Do better read more

Usually has what I need in stock and the pharmacy is good. The area is sketchy though. I feel that they should work with the city getting it cleaned up a oriole and not have so much transients walking around harassing customers. read more

Would've selected zero if I could. My prescription didn't go through apparently to their power outage, hospital asked for pharmacy to call them to confirm a second prescription to be sent since the first one did not make it. The pharmacist advised she was going to let me talk to her hire up, this broad jus tour me on hold for over ten minutes. Choose a different cvs with people who are willing to HELP. They do not care at this location. read more

I just witnessed something disgusting regarding a complete to lack of human kindness in one of the customer "service" techs at this location. There were two ladies standing at the front of the store who seemingly work there--as indicated by the CVS polos. After my transaction I asked if I could use the restroom. The one the other one called "Cheyenne" very rudely looked me up and down, giggled a little bit and said "ehe, no" . Rude... but ok... whatever. The First Lady was like "ok Cheyenne, it's 715, you have (whatever time) on your break" Then this poor lady who said she had been sitting waiting on a ambulance because she was having an asthma attack came up to the desk behind me looking like she had already begged before to PLEASE use the restroom. She doesn't know when they'll be here. Please let her use the restroom. The lady at the desk indicated that she can't allow a customer to use the facilities because she is the only one on right now... c'mon Cheyenne... take two seconds off your break so this poor lady can use the restroom!! The lady at the front was very nice.... But Cheyenne may want to find a different profession other than customer service. read more

Nice staff and a bright clean, large store. Could use a restocking of the makeup section- many empty shelves. The item I bought was labeled $11.99, but rang up at $13.99. Annoying. My cashier was the manager and he was warm & welcoming. Parking is horrible though. It's right off busy Main Street and full of potholes. If you're in midtown, it's worth it, but if you can drive to a better CVS in the 'burbs, I'd recommend it. You'll get a better selection and a much better parking experience. read more

My friend and I needed some bon-fire food during a Holiday and this was the only place that was still open. It's pretty dirty and sketchy inside and the prices are SUPER high. Higher groceries than anywhere I've ever seen. The employees were nice even though we were in there in the evening on a Holiday. They do have a Red Box outside. I guess they have that going for them. read more

This location has a very friendly staff, always greeting you as you walk in and making sure you find what you are looking for. It's always well stocked and clean. Trying to turn into the lot can be difficult at times since it's right off of Main St. Sometimes there are beggars hanging out but the staff and Main St security do a good job at keeping them away. The security also patrols the area giving you that peace of mind that nothing will happen in the parking lot walking to and from your car. This will be your best option for a convenience store in midtown. The Walgreens down the street doesn't have as much to choose from. read more

Walked in to purchase a few things but realized I had to use the restroom. Walked to the back to find that cvs isn't letting customers use the restrooms. Sooo you expect me to pay these high fucking prices but I can't pee in this place?! What a joke. I left without purchasing anything, I work hard for every dollar I earn. CVS... Has much more inventory than Walgreens up the road. There are a lot of people outside, but Main security team keeps things in check. The Redbox is outside. They have Vanilla Coke. The cashiers are very friendly relative to their counterpart a block away. They may not have EVERYTHING... But they probably got most things you need. I will say their As Seen On TV section is small to nonexistent. You complain about prices... But youre here for convenience... Thats why youre paying more! If you want to pay less... spend some of your gas money and drive a few miles to save that 60 cents.... Which you just spent in gas! This CVS, like many others, is planted smack in the middle of a busy intersection in a patchy neighborhood. Midtown isn't what I'd call "bad", but it definitely varies street by street and this particular corner gets a lot of sketchy folks roaming in and out of the area. This store has the usual sky-high CVS prices and they are strange about giving you cash-back for debit purchases (meaning they rarely do it). Their pharmacy is just okay and not quite as busy as the Walgreens that is nearby. I go here every couple months just because it's convenient, but it's not a place to go out of your way for. I'll leave you with an interesting little story: A few years ago when I was new to KC I made my first KC 911 call thanks to this CVS. I was driving home and noticed a guy running out of the CVS with bags in his hands and a rent-a-cop chasing after him with his gun drawn. It was probably only like 8pm. You've been warned. read more

No one at this location answers the phone and when they do they immediately say they will transfer you and either just hang up the phone or let the phone ring for 5 plus minutes. read more

Generally a decent place but when I called to ask about transferring my prescription while on vacation the pharmacist, Kayla, rudely cut me off. Her tone implied I was annoying her by asking and not knowing I was to call the CVS to which I wanted to transfer the prescription not the CVS currently holding the prescription. Rude. What's happening to empathy, kindness, and courtesy in this world? Maybe they're trying to be more like the Walgreens down the street. Striving to ignore, be rude, or just plain treat their customers poorly. Hopefully it won't happen again. read more

Not a good pharmacy. Doctor gave me a coupon to help with prescription cost. They refused to run it properly or attempt to re-enter it. I finally got another pharmacist to do it properly but the next time I had to fill it they gave me the same run around and would not apply the coupon. They ended up hanging up on me when I called about home delivery during the pandemic. I am a patient person so their inconsideration astounded me. They will only do the bare minimum required at their job which is not how I want my health handled. I highly suggest finding another pharmacy. read more

This is not one of the nicer CVS locations, mostly because of the location and some of the patrons. It's an inner-city location, and with that, comes certain things. That said, the staff has always been friendly, and the pharmacy does a good job, as well - very accommodating and helpful. I needed a script changed from another pharmacy, and they were Johnny on the Spot! read more

I actually thought this CVS was super nice and new looking inside. But yeah, it's pretty sketchy like people have said. Judging by the patrons' phone conversations I heard I think it's pretty much confirmed. I just happened to be driving by and needed something and it turned out alright. read more
