I had a great first expression because I expected it to go well. To be honest, my husband and I get our cash paid, no insurance, prescriptions filled here, and definitely see a different type of treatment if you have any... controlled substances in the pharmacy. I dont have an issue with all the pharmacists, but there are a couple that are rude. The one who answered my last voicemail is the rudest one of all, no empathy. I've been going to this pharmacy for several years and in the past would have rated it much lower. Recently I've had a much better experience here and as I'm not afraid to post when I've had a bad experience I feel I should say that the staff has been helpful. This is a busy pharmacy and while I don't like that you need to leave a message instead of speaking to someone, they do return calls and have responded when we need something. I don't like that CVS in general closes for lunch but these people have to eat. The line here can get long at times and some customers get rude and butt in line but the staff does try to give everyone their attention and move as quickly as they can. At this time the staff here is pretty good so 5 stars from me today from my recent experiences. read more

Held for 30 minutes to talk to pharmacy and then they hung up on me. I never got to talk to anyone in the pharmacy.

My wife had just gotten home from the hospital after a very serious medical condition which left her in major pain. I had a prescription from the ER we had just come from. The only reason we went there to begin with is that our normal pharmacy (which we love) at Publix was closed. The pharmacist at CVS made me feel like some hype, because it was a controlled substance...well duh. That's what pharmacies do is sell controlled substances. The pissy pharmacist said she was not comfortable filling the prescription, because we had a recent prescription for another medication which made my wife sick, and therefore the meds were changed. At any rate, my wife lay at home in pain and this piece of work would not even call the ER to verify the prescription. I went next door to Walgreen's and it was filled by a very personable and professional pharmacist. I will never step foot in a CVS as long as I live, and they will never get another penny from me. If I could give zero stars I would. These people at the pharmacy are rude as hell and discriminate and don't care about other people. I went to the ER last night for second degree burns and a turn ligament in my knee, they put me in a knee brace and gave me crutches because the pain was so bad I couldn't walk. They sent out a prescription to this pharmacy for pain medication because it was the closest that was open 24 hours. I spent over $20 on an Uber to go all the way over there and I get there to pick up my prescription and I tell the lady at the front she goes to the back and the guy in the back looks at me and gave me (I swear my boyfriend noticed it too) this dirty *ss look like I was disgusting. They continue talking to each other then she comes to the front and tells me they don't have my prescription and it's been back ordered for months and they won't tell me where I can get it filled. I call the ER back and they say that's weird because if they didn't have it they should be able to tell me who does. I have them send it to my usual pharmacy and I call in the morning when they opened and I asked to make sure they had it and told them about the story of this CVS. They said that that was really weird, it shouldn't be back ordered, they haven't had any issues, and they said they might have not wanted to fill it because of the type of medicine it was. And I remembered how rude they were to me and the look the guy gave me when the lady at the front told him what medicine it was. Completely disrespectful. I will also be leaving this review on yelp because this is ridiculous. I was literally in crutches and full leg brace and couldnt walk. To discriminate and not fill meds because of the type of medication and what their opinion is ...these people should be fired. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. They are horribly unorganized. They are incredibly rude. Good luck getting your prescriptions filled in a timely manner. If you need to speak to a human about your prescriptions be prepared to spend at least a half an hour on the phone with the automated machine. I go to this cvs every day multiple times a day to get gift cards or change or whatever. I came in one night and they refused to give me change for a $50 unless I was to buy something from the store. I grabbed a giant bag of sugar for my house and they still refused to give me change and they talked super sarcastically the whole time. If I could give less then one star I would! Normally I don't leave reviews like this but the lady at the front cashier stand wearing A blue plaid shirt with chestnut brown hair in a ballerina bun was extremely rude to me when she addressed that I need to wear a mask to enter the building. when there was no sign in front of the building saying that I needed to wear a mask. Not sure if she was aware the governor mandated wearing a mask it was no longer a requirement as of three or four weeks ago. Maybe you guys should put a note in front of the door saying mask are required. Especially if you're going to scrutinize or speak in a nasty manner to your customers about wearing masks which aren't legally required anyways. Drive thru wait times are egregious. Call the pharmacy, you'll be on hold for quite awhile. Nice enough staff, but not enough people working there. Especially for how many people use the location & it being open 24 hours. Customer service suffers. This has been my experience not just once or twice, but nearly every time I come to this CVS location. When I did get my turn at the drive-through window today I had just come out of surgery after having my leg cut open and I was trying to get my painkillers. The pharmacist told me that she would have to call and get a diagnostic number and I've got to come back later. I explained that I cannot come back later because I cannot drive, it's not permitted. So I left with no painkiller for my fresh wound, called my surgeon and told them that CVS did not fill prescription. This is decidedly unacceptable, so when my surgeon's office called to ask CVS why they would not fill the prescription, the pharmacist flatly lied and said that she had told me to wait. Really? I asked multiple times if I could wait and she said no. This is a place where you're allowed to lie to cover up your mistakes, and I don't want that type of staff managing my health needs. I have been a customer of CVS pharmacy on Walsingham Rd for several years and had obtained my prescriptions from them almost on a weekly basis. Just recently my important prescription was ordered and was told it would be ready the next day after 4pm due to not in stock. I called back in two days and was told it would be the next day. This was two days later. I came by 4 days later since my prescribed medicine was getting low. They said nope not in after they had previously said it would be. I just drove away from the drive up window and went straight across the street to Walgreens and obtained the prescribed prescription after moving my records from the mismanagement of CVS. I went to this CVS last night and fell in a hole right in front of the store..I messed up my knees and both my ankles and scratches down my leg...I went inside and ask about filing an accident report.I am 53 years old and have never had anything like this happen to me in my life..the assistant manager Kevin told me that they do not file accident reports there and offered me some alcohol to put on my busted up knees.yeah that's just what I want is some alcohol to cause me more pain..Neosporin would have been a nicer choice..guess he preferred the cheaper way out....I showed him the hole in front of the store on their property and he seemed unconcerned and could care less...he went back in the store like nothing ever happened...I couldn't believe it..had plans the next day but because of the damage to my knees and soreness I spent the day at home recovering.not to mention I have bad knees as it is..I'm sure this didn't help matters....unbelieveable...would never shop there again..the lack of concern for their customers amazes me..I have a lawyer friend I think I am going to talk to about this matter...I thought every store had an accident report....BUT NOT CVS ...YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN WHEN YOU ENTER THEIR STORE... Had a problem with the mail service pharmacy that refills my prescriptions. Went to CVS on Walsingham Rd in Largo FL & was fortunate to have Erica in the Pharmacy dept address the problem. She really went above & beyond by contacting the mail service & was able to get everything straightened out. It meant that I would not run out of medication while on vacation.
