While staying in Minneapolis, I stopped into a close-by Walgreens to get a few items. I have alway seen locations in downtowns and this one was right around the corner from where I was staying. I am always pleased when I am properly greeted when I walk through the door. I am especially happy when a clerk or cashier look up from what they are doing to acknowledge a customer walking through the door. This store, like other Walgreens is big and bright with clean isles to navigate through. This incredibly delightful staff was over the top in greetings. Happy to see a customer. Happy to help a customer. Happy to speak with a customer. I needed a few items ranging from water to shaving cream. They had plenty of items to choose from and I pleased that their house brand is a substantially reduced price and the same item. Check out went very quickly and I received the same cordial greeting as I left as when I came in. The team member behind the counter just personified the model employee of engagement, spreading happiness and loving to be able to help. Kudos to a wonderful team here at Walgreens.

Perfect! There was lots of parking in this plaza. I backed into a spot and headed over to this store. I was immediately greeted by Easter items. I was pleased that cute Squishmallows were a part of this welcome squad. I briefly looked at the nail care section. It was great. There was nail polish remover in a number of forms, polish, gel stickers, fake nails, and more. There were more Squishmallows in the seasonal Easter aisle. It was also Valentine's Day, so I saw candy for both occasions. I did not buy any Valentine's Day merchandise. I decided to wait a day, to take advantage of clearance sales that likely would happen. I needed pop. I got a couple of two-litre bottles. I was thrilled to see Diet A&W root beer. It's not as common as Diet Dr Pepper. I took a bottle each of these flavours. I also got popcorn. I headed to the checkout. There was one person ahead of me. I didn't have to wait long. I got a woman who was competent. She ended up putting a bottle in a plastic bag. It was different. I would have double-bagged both bottles. To each, her own. I paid with a credit card. At Walgreens, the payment kiosk prompts whether you want to pay in USD or CAD with a Canadian credit card. I always go with USD and have my credit card do the exchange. I got a coupon for $7 off my next purchase of at least $15. I thanked the woman and headed to my car. This store had everything that I needed. I wish that I had more time to browse. The next time I'm back in Blaine, I hope that I can take my time shopping here. (87)

There's been a few times I've rushed in 10 minutes before close (sorry!) desperately needing something. The employees have been understanding and friendly, despite what I'm sure is an annoyance. Usually there aren't any cars in the drive-thru, but if there are, be forewarned that it moves slow. Still, I hold no animosity because the workers are friendly. Dec 7 around 11:00 am I experienced an unnecessary wait as the CVS employees ignored the few customers in line. The employees were really just ignoring the waiting customers for an unreasonable amount of time as they worked on other things. Considering that there were more CVS employees than customers, there was no need to keep the customers waiting for around 10 minutes. The Pharmacist who was waiting on a customer when I arrived, told me she'd be right with me. She then proceeded to walk away and do other things and never came back to the counter. Around 10 minutes later one of the employees finally came to the prescription pick up area and waited on me. Very irritating when the CVS employees behave as if their time is more valuable than their customers. Serving waiting customers should be a priority rather than working on items for future pick up.

I told her and she said there was a problem because the doctor, while licensed to practice in MN, MA wouldn't pay for it. Now, I just wanted a minute to explain my situation a bit. I only just got MA coverage a couple months ago. Since then I have been using sesame to get appointments for prescription refills because I have social anxiety and need the meds to be able to work and drive. I'd just pay for it all out of pocket. Not being used to suddenly having health coverage, I dragged my feet finding a health provider, and realized I needed a new script at the last minute. I paid for the sesame appointment because I knew I had to get this done now. I would get really sick and have terrible episodes of anxiety if i didn't. I was willing to pay out of pocket for the prescription itself. But the pharmacist didn't allow me to say ANY of this. The second I asked if I could just a have a moment to explain what's going on, she SCOFFED. She didn't even suggest that I could pay out of pocket if I wanted to. She just wanted me to get a new doctor and a new appointment, which would have taken days. I didn't even get to explain that I didn't have days. I have no more pills. The anxiety I will have to face without them will make it 100x harder to even get me out of the house. When she scoffed and made it clear that she wasn't going to help in the slightest, I asked to take this to a different pharmacy. But she can't send it in herself (which I know is crap, I've had pharamacy's send a script before). I had to call a different one, have them request it, then they would send it. Becuase they have already been SO cooperative, I am sure they are gonna get to that request as soon as costco makes it. Anyway, at the end of the day, these people don't want to talk to you. They don't want to help you. If the AI answering machine can't fix it for you, they don't care.

They are well stocked with a wide variety items including some sewing and craft items, a huge array of marvelous gifts and significant number of baby items, children's games and toys. They are also amazing supporters of the community, volunteering significant staff time to provide flu and Covid immunizations at the annual Age Well Expo every October, which they do enthusiastically every year. I don't think enough people in the community realize how many amazing gift items they stock there. The pharmacists are friendly and helpful. It is a true community treasure.

The only reason I have an expired coupon is the other stations in the area honor it, give it back and tell me to use it again the next time. Hilarious at this day and age how chinsey Bills is! I probably could have got the manager to honor it but would rather spend my gas dollars elsewhere. Will never be back !
