Being new to the area, I've been hunting down the gas stations that are close by. So far this one…read moreBY FAR is the cleanest most upkept gas station I found in the area so far. Like, almost amazingly beyond normal clean! Yes, it's small and quaint and doesn't have the selection of snacks, drinks, fresh pastry smell wafting in the air like some of the bigger ones but hey- I'm on a diet anyway! Sometimes the the smell of cleaning products is a little over powering when I walk in (kind of a dislike for me yet at the same time...it does smell freshly cleaned). I noticed even the outdoor grounds are better kept up than Uhm some of the neighbori g houses and businesses around it. The gas seemed to be a good .05c less than the one down the street a ways to boot. Service?? 2 our of 3 times so far was friendly. Today's dude was a bit crabby, on the phone and let me stand there a few minutes waiting while being I. The phone, then checked his text while ringing me up and didn't say anything to me. Not cool...but maybe he was "putting out a fire" or something. It will still be my go to gas station for now, unless I find one better close by.

His name is Rob. And I couldn't agree more…read more I've never used yelp, never reviewed a business before, but since I just called Rob to ask for contact info, he said there wasn't any. So to the owner, Joe.... This is a customer service position, even more so that being a waitress, etc. He is the rudest human being I've ever met. An older lady once worked there pt, and agreed with me, have me the owner's number but that was before you bought it. Never ever saying thank you or hello is one thing, but scoffing at me and annoyingly correcting me on what I called my cigarettes (when Marlboro changed there names from light to silver, for example), is probably the last thing you want to do to a customer. For years it's been the closest place to my home to get gas, and I started going elsewhere, even though gas costs more most places around here ( I applaud that). Now I know his car and schedule so I just don't go there weekday afternoons and evenings anymore. He watched me wait for has authorization while he (extremely dragging ass) checked the garbages outside ( that were over flowing) and slowly walked in, as my pump has now been beeping for over 90 seconds, and he still took his time in there. I've wanted to say something for years but I'm not an angry person. I worked in hospitality for 15 years. He couldn't even cut it as a dishwasher, let alone make it through an interview. And is he wearing a wedding ring? Poor girl. I really hope someone sees this, as I'm sure nobody checks gas station reviews.

Nice grocery store, but kind of pricey…read more Once you park, you may have to get through a couple pan handlers before you reach the door of the store (at least I did). "Nothing to spare", my usual line. Service was nice. I asked about if they had a little cafe there, but they don't so I left. I followed a guy stealing two cans of energy drinks that he palmed.

If I could give it a negative star I would. This Cub announces in every way that what they would…read morereally like to do is to sell groceries without any customers. They have decided that the solution to their high theft problem is to lock up every household product with a dollar value above 99 cents. This "solution" means that you cannot look at the product you intend to purchase, nor can you carry it to the checkout yourself. Additionally, the already over-worked employee forced to baby sit you is not interested in the fact that you may need more than a nano second to consider your options before making a purchase. Let's not forget, that as the burdensome task of waiting for you to decide on your product falls to this presumably union employee, this arrangement forces them to treat you as a potential shoplifter. This allows them the space between you and them since, as you can imagine, they spend their shift being yelled at and generally crapped on. Well, Cub, at Midway. This is your grand plan to make money, is it? Have all your products behind glass, and then, if anyone has the audacity to point out how ludicrous this is, the only option is to complain to an employee who also realizes what a complete waste of everyone's time and energy this but is forced into compliance lest they complain and risk their $13.21 an hour, no benefits. So, I think it goes without saying that I won't be shopping at this Cub again. But I know the decision-makers don't read these reviews, nor do they care. Because if they did, they would have retracted their ridiculous plan of babysit shopping behind a glass wall, one employee shift after it began. As no one with actual power will make any real change, this review is for you, dear reader. If you had any doubts about exclusively shopping on Amazon, and I certainly have my own problems with that, consider that the final brick and mortars aren't soliciting any feedback. Or, perhaps to the union Cub employee. Consider the power of your union. Are you actually seeing the benefit of those union dues, while you're forced into trench warfare with your own customers, knowing full-well corporate doesn't listen to you either? Hey, Andre Persaud, CEO, you said you had to earn customer loyalty; Or was that just a good talking point? In a food desert that is midway, you don't even have to do that. You just have to be the only option. Congrats being some people's only option. But, I for one, am able to buy everything I got there today online. Hope your glass walls protect your empty shelves when the company goes for broke in 3 years.
