Takes an excessively long amount of time to fill medications (like 4 days for a common antibiotic??). They are clearly short staffed. Received an email last weekend that they were temporarily closed for the weekend. No longer filling prescriptions here. This store is unfortunately a disaster. They can't staff the store with enough help. This week we were told they would be closing the Pharmacy at 530 instead of 9 because they didn't have enough help. No problem, I can get there before 530. I walk in at 510, they had already closed up shop in the pharmacy. As I was walking out, I could hear a pharmacy worker that was leaving for the day mocking and making fun of another customer that they closed on before they could get their script. The person was apparently an elderly lady, and this was apparently funny to the employees to mock and make fun of this person. As a store, don't tell customers 1 thing and then not do it, and don't make fun of elderly people that probably truly needed their script, and in front of other customers. The doctor asked us if we really wanted to use Walgreens because there was nothing but horror stories out there about them. We should have listened. So Sad read more

Aviod this place at all costs. I've waited 7 hours now for a common antibiotic. I try to call and wait on hold for at least 30 minutes before I get frustrated and hang up. I'm switching all my scripts to Walmart....they answered the phone after 30 seconds tonight but said they would need to call Walgreens to have the antibiotic subscription transfered...but I know they won't wait on hold for more than 15 minutes so will have to contact Dr. tomorrow and have them send a new prescription to Walmart. I'm done with Walgreens...the other pharmacies seem to do something right that Walgreens hasn't figured out. I'm not blaming the employees...maybe they're not paid enough? I have several other automatic refill presecriptions and will be changing them all to Walmart. Goodbye Walgreens....FYI, I've been on hold at the time of this another 40 minutes and they close in 1 minute so I'm sure I'm not going to reach anyone tonight. Extremely poor...stay away. read more

I was in the forest lake Walgreens on august 24th. I was in the card aisle and I dropped my car keys and they slid under the card shelf. I needed help to get them out and I first asked a girl that was working and she told me she couldn't help me and she went to get Micheal. He helped but had to finish filling orders and would come back. the girl kept coming back telling me to leave my car come back and I kept telling her this was my only set. I felt she felt it was not her concern. Michael on the other hand took 45 min ish to help lift the shelves to look under and they were not easy to lift. I so appreciate him. you need more like him there. He even told me that his job is to help the customer. He was kind and I even wanTed to pay him and he said he couldn't take money. so I am writing a review and hope he is acknowledged and praised for helping me out.Mary read more

Waited 58 minutes on hold for them to pickup the phone and then hang it up on me, even though I said hello. They say they will fill a prescription I need to live 3 days ago. PHARMACY...3 cash registers and 1 cashier. Stand in line for 20 minutes ( no exaggeration) then to find out 1 out of 3 wasn't filled ( I know my doc personally he sent it and verified) the 1 medication that I have to have daily. Come back in a hour to stand in a really long line again. THIS HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE MONTH. never a sorry either just a blank " it'll be ready in a hour next". It's always a 4 hour ordeal. I know what your thinking that I'm impatient or privileged,entitled ect. I don't mind waiting but ffs cmon. Should have to miss a half day of work to do this. 15 years I've been coming here and I'm done. Going somewhere else. I can't deal with the rudeness and greedy side of walgreens anymore. The pharmacist at the Forest Lake Walgreens provided horrible customer service today around 9:30am: not only did he provide inaccurate information, he wasn't willing to help, he was rude, and most importantly he was WRONG!!! Never admitted it or apologized ~ it was awful & extremely frustrating. Sadly cannot trust him. Thank goodness the pharmacist manager stepped in to help. read more

I've been here twice for a vaccine....I scheduled online.......don't offer me an 845am appt if the pharmacy doesn't Open until 900 and if the pharmacist is too busy doing other required duties within the pharmacy don't schedule an appointment for 9 AM give them an hour to get their work done so that I am not waiting for an hour and a half for a simple injection.This has happened twice and it's happened to another family member as well. Used to be a good store. Not anymore. Today a prescription was electronically transferred and confirmed at 2 pm. I show up to pick up at 4 pm. Told "We got it but haven't started it yet. It'll be about 15 minutes" by a mouth breather. At 5 I finally leave the store without a prescription. Horrible. Their standard comment "we've been slammed today". Really? Every day? Even when there's nobody in the pharmacy waiting area, it takes 2+ hours? Absolutely terrible store. Shame what they've let happen to it. Moving to CVS. read more

Slllllooooowwww is not a selling point. Neither is screwed up and come back in. Girl at this pharmacy (packers shirt, 2 tone hair) tried to tell me in an indigent tone that I was wrong in adding my pills up. 2 and 3 is 5, thats 150 a month. It is. except I take 2 and 2 and 3 that is 7, 210 a month. That's the amount it's written for. Came back in. Sat for 20 minutes, I checked my watch a lot, then got back in line. Same girl told me she needs to count them out give her a few minutes. I said, I've been here over 20 minutes. She said I've been helping people. I yelled, "I'M PEOPLE!!!" They then gave me 3 months which it was written for. They don't know why it was changed to one month. So you screwed it up twice. Terrible pharmacy. Go elsewhere. read more

Finally had enough and switched pharmacies. I know the crew when I worked there has completely changed and there are really nice people working in that pharmacy but it's so slow that I swear half the time they must be all on break. I went in this Friday night at 8:40 pm to fill a prescription that I figured I would pick up the next day. I was already by Walgreens and figured I would stop in and ask for a refill. That was a horrible idea. I walked in and there was a lady in front of me being helped. Nobody at the drive thru. They were going back and forth on something with one of her fills. It had been about 8-10 minutes at this point and a car pulls up in the drive thru. They then have to go on the floor and fill this prescription and paged somebody to do this. Then the pharmacy goes to help the drive thru well I still stand in line. I figured well that sucks but I am next. About another 7 minutes pass and they get the drive thru done. In the meantime the lady needing a fill is still standing at the counter. The prescription finally gets brought up and they check it and get the labels for it. At this point it's been another 10 minutes. As they are ringing her up and talking to her another car pulls up in the drive thru. They finally complete the transaction and the lady slowly grabs her stuff. I look at my watch and it's now 9:15pm and I have been in the exact same spot in the area you are suppose to line up to be helped. I haven't moved or anything. I have had workers on the floor acknowledge me standing there. They go to the drive thru and help that person instead of helping me next. I had enough and left and had my prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy the next day. The wait times to just talk to a pharmacy staff to see if your prescription is ready or if you just want to fill one is extremely poor. If you want to run a skeleton crew then shut down the drive thru. Every time I have gone in to get a prescription or get a refill going I have ended up spending at least 20 minutes standing in line before getting helped. Doesn't matter the time of the day either. It's extremely poor and back when I worked for Walgreens this would never have been accepted. I want to say all positive stuff but it's been a year of dealing with this. It's just not acceptable. The store is always clean and organized though and the staff is friendly. It's just the wait to talk to somebody in the pharmacy is way to long and not acceptable. I can understand talking to somebody and they say it will be a hour if not longer to fill. I understand that just not having to wait 20+ minutes to talk to somebody to find this out. read more

Horrible customer service over the phone and they dont even care when you Express your feelings about their service, they do not want to better themselves at all. This is how I feel and I haven't even picked up the perscription in person yet cant imagine how that will go. I ordered Christmas cards online from home and went to pick them up at the Forest Lake Walgreens 2 weeks before Christmas (I'm sure their busiest time of the year!) I opened them and was not satisfied with the clarity of the picture on my cards-was fuzzy since I blew it up from a photo on my phone. The 2 gals were very busy printing and helping customers ordering from the kiosks-who had lots of questions. I asked them to look at my cards and they agreed that the picture was not clear and helped me order new cards and told me it was no problem to do an exchange! I was very grateful and it was my fault that my phone does not take very clear pictures. I expressed my gratitude to them both, and they thanked me for being so polite! PEOPLE let's remember that it's a very busy time for shopping and to be polite to customer service and the employees at stores- who by the way probably are not making enough to put up with crabby customers!- treat them and thank them for helping us!! I want to commend the two gals- Liz and Lindsey in photo** who I had write their name down for me so I could note them in my review!
