I've been using CVS in Lompoc since arriving here in July, 2024. I tried the other pharmacies in Lompoc and this is definitely the best one. That may explain why it is sometimes busy. The pharmacists are great. The counter staff is mostly great. It's difficult to speak to anyone over the phone, but I've found that going to the pharmacy and waiting to speak to someone always pays off. I am so sick of this place. While the NEVER answering their phone has improved (no doubt too many complaints to the head office), more times than should be for a pharmacy, I trek over there only to find out the pharmacy is closed. Either for lunch (the posted time was different on the internet) or, like today, they had some random reason on the front door. Most of the Pharmacy staff need a refresh coarse in manners and customer care! They are extremely rude and condescending. If you don't want to have to answer to customers don't get a job that involves Customer Service/ Support. The amount of times I have called in regards to my medications and have recieved extremely poor customer service is beyond me. Will definitely be switching Pharmacies. We have always had great customer service here. The pharmacy was our fav. Until Our insurance and CVS no longer cooperated together. We then had to switch to another big brand Pharmacy in town and it was the worst experience ever! Can't begin to describe how awful that experience was. Needless to say if I need anything from a Pharmacy other than prescriptions I come here for all our over the counter meds and things like that. We have long been fans of CVS. On Friday, I woke up with slight pain and redness in my left eye. Later, the problem increased significantly and when the urgent care doctor saw me at first glance he said I had a bacterial infection and I should start antibiotics immediately. He said it looked pretty bad and referred me to a specialist. My prescription was sent to CVS. I received an automated text from CVS saying they were working on my prescription. I waited hours and was concerned that I may not receive my meds before CVS closed. I called to check and an automated message said my prescription would be completed on Monday! When I finally spoke to with an employee, they said they did not have the prescription in stock and they would receive a shipment Monday. They suggested that I go to Buellton CVS, as they had it in stock. Unfortunately, Buellton CVS refused to fill the prescription, as they would be closed before I could get there. It's 10 am Saturday morning. I am waiting currently for Walgreens to fill my prescription. The painful infection in my eye has been festering overnight. Thanks CVS! If you use this pharmacy (I no longer will), I would call and actually speak with an employee immediately after your medication is prescribed. read more

Me, "Hello, I'm looking for a specific Rx for my baby. I was wondering if you carried it?" (I told her/the clerk what the medication was) CVS pharmacy, "no, we don't carry it." Me, "Do you know what other pharmacies might carry it?" CVS pharmacy, "no, we don't have the inventory of other stores" Wow! Rude, unnecessary, and unprofessional. Your coupons are confusing and it's a bit mean that I showed a $1.50 coupon and you had a $2 coupon on the app, but instead of telling me that tour coupon was better and I lost 50 cents in the process. It's only 50 cents but it left me feeling a little upset. I walked out deciding not to argue about it, but who wants to deal with bad feelings. I really want to enjoy shopping here and enjoy my coupons too, but I always feel like I'm getting a bit of a raw deal. read more

CVS Lompoc needs a management change. Stopped by there on Friday - it was backed up, just one cashier, and she seemed extremely slow. She finally called for a manager - manager came and was quick to say they were short-staffed. Not as an appology, more as a complaint, as if it was our, the customer's, fault for being there shopping on a Friday afternoon. A few of us turned around and left. I have always loved shopping at this CVS, however, today's experience led me to write this review. While standing in line to purchase candy for work, a Sales Clerk noticed the lines were a bit backed up so she called to me "there are two self checkouts available if you're not buying alcohol". I kind of hesitated before replying "I have never done self checkout before". Imagine how I felt to see her then shake her head and roll her eyes at me. Are you kidding me? The reason for even being in that shopping center on this particular day was to have labs drawn at Pacific Diagnostics to check my cancer antigens following a long battle with Breast Cancer. Thanks for making me feel even worse. Oh! Big shout out to the other Sales Clerk who did help me when she noticed me struggling with the self checkout that I did attempt to use out of frustration at being treated so rude. Pretty good place for getting medications and their prices are competitive. My family changed from Walmart pharmacy to here because of double billing and not having prescriptions ready on time. CVS. Has been very much on point with all pharmaceutical needs. read more

Constantly on hold for ten to fifteen minutes at a time waiting for the pharmacy to answer their phone. I realize they are busy but I should be able to reach the pharmacy without having to try multiple times throughout the day with a combined hour total of hold time. This doesn't even mention the fact that I shouldn't have to call the pharmacy at all to initiate my prescription fill. It should just happen. read more

Had my prescriptions transferred from the incompetence that is Walgreens Lompoc and they wouldn't fill a prescription that my doctor ordered for me after a major car accident and after he also reviewed my current medications. Their explanation was that they needed to consult my doctor over the refill because they thought it was too soon until I corrected them on that oversight and then that said that they needed his authorization to combine this with the other medications I was taking even though they filled the same prescription last week and my. My doctor's office called me back and said to go back there and pull the hard copy he gave me and take it somewhere else. I had a good experience with this pharmacy up until the last two weeks. The front line staff are pleasant to deal with and have had no problems with them at all. At least they're better than Walgreens. read more

I bought a bottle of scotch at this store 5 days ago. Today when I went to open it I found it still had the anti-thief cap attached, I went back to CVS and asked them to take off the cap. But no, since I no longer had the receipt they made me re-pay for the bottle. What! I've been a every week customer for 5 years. I have five prescriptions there. I am mad. I called them stupid. I felt like they thought I was a thief. I don't know how I got out of the store originally with the scotch. But I know I got back in without alarms going off. I am canceling my prescriptions unless I get my $16 back and will never use this store again! read more

No Phone Support. Unable to check my local store for pickup. I tried for over 3-1/2 hours calling about 15 or 20 times. There is only 1 number to call 1-805-735-7424 which is the only store number, Period. The web site only lists one number to call. All I get is a busy signal every signal time I call. No options to choose from. I ended up calling the corporate office in another state to report the issue. They were rude and not very helpful. They should try listening before they come across like they know every thing. All I wanted to know is if my perscription is for a 30 day supply or 90 day supply. That's it. I didn't want to waste my time going to the store for only 30 pills. Why don't they post a secondary number on their web site to reach the store??? read more

Yup, your average drug store now a days with sugar on every isle. I wish I could come into a CVS and just once find a quick drink that is actually beneficial to my health rather then a bunch of corn syrup drinks or terrible natural flavors. I have to say, after spending so many years at a CVS in the Bay Area, frustrated all the time over the pharmacy never having my medications ready, I'm still not used to this store. They have had it ready every single time I have gone to pick up. Service is decent,although they seem like they could use a little extra help. Nobody has ever come up to me and asked if I needed help finding something, but that's never happened at any CVS I've been to. Overall, I'm impressed. read more

I am more than disapointed in the CVS in Lompoc. I've had problems with the lack of customer service at the Lompoc CVS for quite some time and have decided to pass it on. This morning I attempted to get through to a busy number at the Pharmacy from 9:30 am through 10:45 am. Finally an answer to get transfered to a representative of which I was on hold for another 45 mins. and the representative never answered and hung up immediately. So on my next call I called the Store line which was again busy for several calls auntil I was on hold again waiting for a representative to answer which never happened. Our prescriptions were transferred to CVS when our Albertons (Savon) was sold. CVS appeared to be unprepared for the the influx of customers as there were long lines, misinformation, and a basic lack of customer service. I don't know if it was because of the model that CVS uses, but the people behind the counter were polite but didn't seem to care whether you got your prescription. Part of the way CVS operates is that when you renewed a prescription over the phone, they say that your is not complete until you have reserved a time to pick it up by which they only gave you two days to choose from. So based on that information you assume that your order will be ready at the time that you were forced to choose. It isn't. Nor is it ready two days later. It gets filled because first you stand in their pick up line, only to find out that the prescription has not been filled. Then you have to stand in their drop off line to find when your order will be filled. Then you have to wait 15 minutes for them to do some that was supposed to be done two days before. When you have a prescription that has no renewals and rely on CVS to contact the doctor's office to get the renewal, it takes a week and a half, 2 phone calls to CVS and 2 phone calls to the doctor's office. Nothing is easy with CVS. It has been a long year using CVS as a pharmacy. I am so grateful that Albertons and Savon were able to open again in Lompoc. I never took the staff's customer service for granted, but will always be grateful for the fact that they go above and beyond for their customers. CVS not so much. read more

I dropped off a prescription at 3pm and engaged with a Pharmacist who told me it would not be ready until 8 pm because they were too busy and if I didn't like that I could take it somewhere else. I left it there to be filled. I was still in the shopping center doing errands at 6:30 so I decided to go in and see if it was ready. The clerk at the pick up counter found prescription and proceeded to process me out. I asked her if it said on there the actual time it was filled and she said you were told it would be ready by 8pm. I said I was aware of that but did she know when it was filled. She said she could look in the computer but out of consideration for line behind me I told her that was not necessary. She told me to sign automated machine stating I was picking up correct medicine which I did and noticed my co pay was around $6 so I handed her a $20 bill and stepped back to put medicine in my purse. She said aren't you going to pay for it and I said I'm sure I gave you $20 and looked in my purse to confirm to which she replied well don't you want your change. I said of course now that you know I paid you. I told her I never encountered such rude employees in any pharmacy. She then began to repeat we are so busy and short handed. I told her the pharmacist I checked my prescription in to was equally as rude and it must trickle down to her. She gave me my change and told me to have a nice day and I told her I would never again use there pharmacy and I never will and I will complain about rude service to everyone I meet. read more

Manager Judy Basler is hands down one of the rudest people I have ever met. Lompoc is a small town, and in a small town, a car is unnecessary. I am an adult and I ride a bike to take care of my daily errands. With biking I use a backpack to hold my wallet, keys, cell phone and other items I buy while out. Judy tried to take my backpack from me and I refused as I am an adult, and use this as other women use a purse. There is no sign that says I am not allowed to wear a backpack in the store and she lost my business to the neighborhood Walgreens. Nice move judy. read more

Pharmacist Amir Zand was not helpful. Made rude and inappropriate comments when asking simple questions about my prescription. I will no longer be using CVS pharmacy for my prescriptions. I recommend others do the same. read more

The worst pharmacy in the surrounding area. Less than poor customer service, no explanations why a prescription won't be refilled, other then, "too soon"! I have had a few times where I give the "tech" my prescription refill straight from my doctor and they need to "call my doctor, for approval" he will approve and and I come back to a line close to the entrance to the store and they tell me, "we need an approval from your doctor, before we can refill this prescription". Absolute no customer service and there seems to be a group of new pharmacists each time I go in. Which tells you a little bit about how they treat their employees. Never enter this store, they are under staffed and the employees they do have are incompetent and don't care about your needs and look over you. I'm going to get my last prescription tomorrow and I will tell them to completely erase me from their database. read more

Yes, the line at the pharmacy can be long after work, but they've always been very professional, helpful, and appreciative to those who've been waiting. My prescription is always ready (the text reminders are awesome!), and they've been quick and efficient with any problems I've had with transfers. read more

Ever since Longs changed to CVS and remodeled the store they seem to have remodeled their customer service...and not in a good way. I have about had it with CVS and will probably change pharmacies. I liked this one because it is the closest to home and they have decent hours. I get frustrated because they don't have enough staff and if they do they do not acknowledge or help the customers in a timely manner. I understand they are busy, but at least acknowledge people so you don't feel like you are being ignored. My most recent visit there was a line of about 6 people at the front register, they only ever have one cashier. The cashier called for assistance and a woman came up to the front of the store looked around and left. The cashier called again for someone to help and finally after a couple more minutes a woman showed up to help. Then when I put my item on the counter to be rung up, she did not smile or say hello instead she said "did you understand the sign? You have to buy one and get the second at half off." I told her that the sign said the item was 50% off then she said "oh, that's right it was the chairs that you had to buy two". She made me feel like she thought I was stupid. Whether or not I'm stupid, I am still a cash paying customer! The previous time I was in the store, just a few days before this visit, to pick up a prescription that I had on autofill and had received a phone call to say it was ready the girl at the pharmacy told me there was nothing there for me, after pulling my name up in the computer. I asked if she could check the bin to make sure and she wouldn't, she just turned the computer screen to me and said "see, you have nothing to pick up". Then she told me to go stand in another line to ask about why my medication was not ready to pick up. I had just got done standing in a line waiting to talk to her, now she wanted me to go stand in another line? No thank you! I had to call my prescription in manually and finally was able to pick it up (after waiting again in line, of course). I would not recommend this CVS store. They are slow, not friendly, not helpful and they are seriously understaffed. Take your money somewhere else where you will be treated better. read more
